If you are still having problems going, don't forget fiber, fiber, fiber + water. Now I just need to practice what I preach. Fruits
high fiber (over 3g per serving) - prunes, raisins, unpeeled apple, avocado, dates, unpeeled pear, blackberries
medium fiber - blueberries, orange, raspberries
lower fiber (but still good) - apricots, strawberries, peeled peach, sweet cherries, mango, applesauce, tangerine, nectarine, banana
Vegetables
high fiber (over 3g per serving) - brussel sprouts, canned pumpkin, potato with skin, lima beans, pork and beans, kidney beans
medium fiber - canned mushrooms, carrots, turnip greens, rhubarb, spinach, broccoli, green peas
lower fiber (but still good) - peppers, celery, onions, green beans, cauliflower, asparagus, peeled sweet potatoes
Bread, Cereal, Rice and Pasta
bran (including oat and wheat bran), brown rice, buckwheat, oatmeal, foods made with whole oats, peanut flour, rye flour, soybean flour, wild rice, whole wheat flour, mixed grain breads, cereals that contain 5g+ fiber per serving
