Ok well today didnt totally suck but i only was able to do 10 minutes on my elliptical before my little one woke up from his nap and then by the time he went to bed tonight i was to tired to do anymore. so i did 20 minutes of weights and the 10 minutes on the ellipticall. not sure on how many cals i ate today as i haven't added it all up but i'll update tomorrow for that. see you all later
 
HI Heather,
I was thinking about you today, you know why.
I find that exercising in the morning is giving me more energy during the day. If I exercise too close to my bed-time I can't fall asleep and just toss and turn for a long time. I don't feel so hungry during the day and also make healthier choices as I don't want to "ruin" my exercise effort.
Keep on going girl!!

Thanks Hajni for thinking of me today. I didn't go to see dh and probably won't be able to as his flight leave at 10am and its a 3 hour drive up there so unless i got up at 5am which when i didn't go to bed until after 1am isn't going to happen i won't be able to go since i have been sick off and on all day due to something i ate earlier this morning.. ;(

anyways food today:
breakfast:Peach-Mango smoothie.
1 cup frozen mango chunks
4 oz 1% milk
6oz nonfat peach-mango yogurt
1cup peaches

Snack:Presliced Apples(made me sick.. but i think its cause i took them out of the fridge while i made alex lunch)

Lunch: whole wheat low carb tortilla wrap, 1.5 hard boiled eggs sliced and mixed with 1.5 tbsp light mayo. and 1 cup seedless red grapes.

Snack: Navel orange cut into slices, and 6 oz nonfat orange cream yogurt

dinner: Bacon ranch salad with grilled chicken with newman's ranch dressing

desert:4 oz scoop of reese's peanut butter ice cream and 4oz scoop of Tin Roof Sundae No Sugar Added Low Fat Ice Cream

Totals: CALORIES CARBS FAT PROTEIN
1,764 244g 64g 81g
My daily goals: to eat in these ranges for each day.
Calories Carbs Fat Protein
1410 - 1760 187 - 270 37 - 65 60 - 145

Exercise: 35 minutes cardio on the elliptical, 6.5 miles burned 458 cals Also spent 20 minutes with alex at the park tonight playing with a tennis ball that a guy gave him when my mom and alex got to the park before i did as i was at home exercising... even though i didn't feel like doing it. But felt a lot better after doing it so hopefully tomorrow goes well too
Cal deficit:454 cals (not as high as i wanted it but still burned more cals then my goal for the day but also went 5 minutes longer then my goal in exercise for the day.)

sorry i didn't once again get to anyones diaries but its 1:16am and alex just woke up coughing so I need to tend to him. I promise to get to your diaries tomorrow morning.

yeah i find doing it in the morning gives me less chance to talk myself out of it.
If i wait till later ill be 'too tired' or 'cant be stuffed' or 'not feeling so well' and 'i have things to do' etc :D
 
Hey Heaher - I think that has been my problem lately...I use to exerise in theam it charged me and made me feel good and it was outta the way...as you knwo Ive been struggling with energy and tiredness and crazy shifts - I need to remotivate myself somehow - somewhere ...lol...

I hope all works out with hubby and him being discharged....just trust in himand his plan:):):)

I can't think of any place that is more supportive then this place. Whether it be family things or weightloss its all supportive to me. I have had a lot of problems with finding friends let alone keeping in touch with them cause they all seem to change or just stop talking to me or annoy me or do something that I totally despise. Anyways, I hope that never happens to any of you cause I would hate to lose such good supportive friends.

Anyways, Today has been slow but good so far. I'm planning on getting in my exercise tonight during the season preimere of biggest loser and Yes i know some people don't like them or there ways of losing weight but I like to watch it. Although personally i think i would deck Jillian if she ever talked down to me like she does to the people on the show.

ok well gotta get dinner started. I'll update my food and exercise when i get everything done and calculated see you all in a bit.
 
Hey everyone, today totally did not go as planned. I had meant to get in at least 1 hour between doing the elliptical and weights and my son refused to nap let alone go to bed at a decent hour for me. so no exercise for me except cleaning my house today.

Food today is as follows:
breakfast: blueberry shake and 1 egg salad sandwich
Lunch: Special K protein meal bar
Dinner 2 small chicken breast cut up measured 2.5 cups

Ok well i'll have to update tomorrow about the cals for food as i can't get into my food journal as the site i use is doing maintance right now.. lol

Sorry to dissapear well not totally I am so busy with babysitting then my kids afterschool homework dinner 2 hours of practice while taking care of the baby grrrr I have no time anymore I have been making time to check on the teams and my diary.I will make more time to say howdy to my friends!I wish I could exersice in the day I would feel so much better.Congrats on your weightloss and your daily buttkicking,have a nice day Tammy

today's food and exercise 9/13/07

Ok well today was a good day but kinda boring also.

Breakfast: Strawberry/banana shake: 1 cup strawberries sliced, 2 oz milk, 3 ice cubes grinded, 6 oz strawberry/banana yogurt

Lunch: Lean Cuisine cheese lasanga with lightly breaded chicken breast w/ rib meat scaloppini

Dinner: Foster Farms turkey burgers,fresh express iceburg garden, Kraft Free Ranch Dressing, 2 tbsp
Wheat bread, 2 slices
Borden 2% milk sharp reduced fat single slice
Celery, raw, 3 stalks
Jif creamy peanut butter
25 grapes, seedless

Preworkout snack: Kellogg's special K protein meal bar

Totals:1,298-CALORIES; 161g- CARBS; 43g-FAT; 78g-PROTEIN
target range:1200-1550cals; 204-294g carbs; 40-70g fats; 60-158g protein

cal deficit:1,346 (bmr-total food intake=??+cals burned to get deficit.) (2262-1298= 964+382= 1,346 cals)

Exercise: 30 minutes on the elliptical total 5 miles. 382 cals burned according to hrm.

well today things are going slow.. havne't had lunch and just finished my shake about 45 minutes ago as i had to deep clean the living room due to stupid ants getting in the house from outside.. eww.. i hate ants.

Tammy- dh called yesterday and said it would be a few months and that the earliest that he knows off right now will be the end of november beginning of december but will know more probably in the next few weeks as they are putting him in a special program at the docs that he has to complete before they will decide for sure if he is being discharged for sure or they are going to let him stay in until 2010 when is when he's suppose to get out.

I'll keep you all up to date as soon as i know more and thanks for asking.

Hope today is going well for you!! It was kind of an "off" day for me, as the whole day I thought it was Saturday!!
I did very well for food today, but my MIL is planning a party for me tomorrow and it will be like pizza and ice-cream cake. I find it funny that it is ME they are doing it for, but their choice of food.. URGH. I will just eat home before I go over there.

The bonus this week for you is easy (I read your answer on the other tread), for me it will be like eternity without my scale for a week!! I admire your strenght for not looking at it!!!

Ok i tried posting last night but my stupid internet explorer froze so my post didnt' go in.. ugh anyways, yesterday was a rest day not by choice but because i simply ran out of time to do it with everything that was going on with alex. anyways, food was good, here are my totals and the recommended daily goals.
Food: 9/14/07
total intake: 1,251calories, 169g carbs, 39g fat, 61g protein
daily recommended goals:1200 -1550 calories, 204-294g carbs, 40-70g fat, 60-158g protein.
Cal deficit: 1,011 for the day.


Today was the dreaded weigh in day for the halloween challenge and like I thought things didn't go as well as I had planned. I only lost 0.2 lbs this week which is still a loss instead of gain so i'm happy about that but wish it would have been more. anyways off to make lunch now and get alex down for his nap so i can get in my 60 minutes of exercise today for sure. Hope everyone has a good day and i'll be back to update food and exercise later tonight.

Ok well today was a good day for food and exercise. I did pretty well just need to work on getting more veggies into my diet.. which is pretty hard.

Food for today:

Breakfast: Cinnamon roll and a 6 oz orange cream yogurt

Lunch: Turkey burger on whole wheat bread w/ 1tbsp light mayo and 2%milk cheese slice. 3 small celery stalks w/ 2 tbsp creamy peanut butter and a plum

Dinner: 5oz pork chop baked and 1cup rice pilaf

Snack/desert: sugarfree, reduced calorie caramel pudding

totals: 1,445 cals, 144g carbs, 58g fat, 93g protein
Daily goals: 1200-1550 cals, 204-294g carbs, 40-70g fat, 60-158g protein

Exercise: did 55 minutes, 9 miles burned 665 calories
Cal deficit: 1,482 cals

Wow a successfull day. Your food looked good (I agree with working more veggies and fruits in though) and you kicked butt with your exercise!! Keep it up!!
