hey man, how goes it? I just read up on your diary and we seem to have similar disciplines. i too get up at five to hit the gym and knock it out first thing. I divide my workouts with cardio, and weights 6 days. so 3 days cardio and 3 days weights. i feel you on the results. i am a lot like you with the muscle mass. i'm only 5 foot 8 inches, but i wear a size 38 pant and 1 or 2 x shirt. yeah and i weight 289. i was at 4x and a 54 pant before i started. right now i am doing the full body circuit, but i work a specific area a little more on each day, today was legs, which kills me. lunges destroy me, but i keep pushing through on them. i think i may move up to holding 60 lbs dumbells instead of 50s haha. i have to work my legs over because they are already so strong. leg extentions, i max out, leg curls are getting there, and squats i act scared on, for fear of my back, but i ususally do 225 to be safe. but man do you feel good afterwards. I like the fact that you are on here getting people pumped. its more fun when you know all your hard work inspires other to work harder, doesn't it. well enough ramble. keep up the good work! i'll be following you now.


one quick question. You only rest one day? Like my weekends are my escape, I don't just veg out eating crap all day, but I relax ya know. Gotta give the body some time before you can punish for the next week ya know. Yeah I kill on all my night weight workouts, I leave the legs for friday cuz I do cardio every morning for five days straight. Gotta love the squats tho, and the deadlifts, its like a full body workout in one fell swoop. I think at my heaviest i was 345, i went down to 215, then i bulked up to 255 cuz I was having trouble putting some ass behind me when I needed to move a fridge or something haha. I just jackassed around for a few months so I gained some shiz i didnt wanna. thanks for the kind words for sure, I didnt know I did all that

yeah, becaus ei break it up, i only res on saturday. sunday is just an hour of cardio, so it doesn't bother me. i used to go 7 days a week, but i was worn out. six seems to be fine, plus all the extra tennis sessions i get in, like today. i know it seems like a lot, but it reall doesn't bother me. i do NOTHING on sat, and i sleep 7-8 hours a day during the week, so i am well reast and my body is generall nice a ready by sunday for another go. and as far as making others work harder just ask people in the thread. i am sure most of them come in here to look for motivation. same goes for my thread. i try to let everyone know what i'm doing because i beleive i finally figured it out for me. so i want to share with everyone else my jouney in hope that it lets them know that it can be done. weather it was your intentions or not, you're doing it too. you get a ton of respect for it, and people appreciate you as well. My heaviest as about 2 years ago and well i'm down significantly. i'll chat you soon. time to play tennis.
 
ha I just never realized anyone took it as that, I always figured people were like wow ok next page etc. well thats good if its cardio. i usually do some yardwork or something haha, i try to see how fast I can rake my backyard. I'm a dork sometimes.

I always try to see how fast I can clean my apartment. I try to vacuum, do the dishes, take out the trash, etc etc in thirty minutes. Most of the time I fail, but hey, at least I'm moving around, right? :willy_nilly:
 
ooh wee kids, im about to use my lazy on the weekend card early, im goin to be and sleepin till sunday ha.

prolly not, i have a shindig at a harley davidson store to attend at 10 am.

It wasn't bad at all, got off work early so I went ahead and hit up the gym soon after. Woke up at a decent hour this morning haha. 7 am seems like heaven after waking up at 5 during the week. I feel kinda weird not doing anything like cardio or weights today. Not like guilty, more like I miss them..

I do get what you mean, your body gets used to the exercise. after you create a habit your own body asks for it. I am still getting there- one week to go until my thighs start enjoying the punishment.

went to the rally in pasedena today, crazy. rained like hell. then all the radio folks wanted to go to hooters. I went, only drank water. I had a burger tho, no fries, nothing else. I'm having some atlantic salmon for dinner with some other things, ill take a picture of it if comes out ok...

anywho, off to cook 6 lbs of chicken

that sounds like a lot of fun, rain and all. hooters is such a mistery to me, never been to one. we have them in here but girls don't really need to have.. well, hooters.

I love salmon, it is a tasty and nutritious way to add protein. I had chicken today but couldn't even finish a small portion!
 
Woo youve lost 4lb well done. Well done on skipping fries i can imagine you were thinking about mr potatoe head!!? How long does 6lb chicken last you for and how many meals?? Hope you are having a great weekend!!
 
i split my chicken into portions for 6 days (sun-fri) it comes out to about 1.5 cups to 2 cups diced a day. I trim all the fat off before i even cook it, then I bake it, then I dice it up and measure it out. I usually miss some fat so I get it while I'm choppin it up.

I've been having so much stress and shit happen in past 24 hours. ugh. I haven't ate bad or anything. just ugh ya know. drama. ugh.

I'm gonna post my official weekly diet, yall can check it out, see what I do, how i mix stuff etc.
 
6 a.m. Cardio 45 mins (145-170 bpm)
7 a.m. 1 cup oatmeal (300 cal)
2 tbls of flaxseed (90 cal)
1 tbls of reduced fat peanut butter (95 cal)
1/2 cup of blackberries (45 cals)
530 total cals
10 a.m. 2 scoops whey with water (220 cals)

12 p.m. 1 apple (+/- 75 calories)
Oatmean raisin clif bar (250 cals)

3 p.m. 2 scoops of whey with water (220 cals)

5 p.m. Raw baby spinach (115 cals)
diced chicken breast ( +/- 300 cals)
12 grape tomatoes (17 cals)
2 egg whites (34 cals)
1/4 cup mozzarella (85 cals)
2 tbls of vinagrette ( 70 cals)

7:30 p.m. Weights/ 20 mins cardio

9 p.m. 1 can of Met-rx RTD 51 (250 cals)

10:30 p.m 1 myoplex carb control shake (110 cals)

I eat one cottage cheese snack pack during the night sometime (90 cals)

This comes out to about 2400 cals a day. the fat is about 50 g, the carbs are roughly 170 g give or take and the protein is up around 200 or so grams per day.

I think after a few weeks I'll significantly drop my carbs for a few weeks then go back to this same diet plan. If you keep changing it up your body won't get used to it. Keep it guessing. anyway, I hope this helps some folks

thanks for stopping by my diary. i see you had a good day too with the whole nutrition/exercise....actually come to think of it your days always seem to be good days. (apart from the fact that you mentioned something was stressing you out yesterday...hope your doing good now?)

by the way, your list always has a scoop of peanut butter (YUMMY!), as much as i'd love to add some to my plan i just can't because on my bad days i'd probably eat the whole jar! so i keep my kitchen free of anything that can tempt me, at least untill i gather a bit more discipline. Do you ever have days where you eat bad? because it's like your diet is always perfect and you always follow it to the letter!
 
its so damn boring today. ha ive already washed my truck and rearranged my room. wtf. i played with my puppy for a bit and now im just watching the blue collar comedy tour on comedy central. anyone else like this today?

yesterday i had a 1/2 burger at hooters, no fries tho. just water. at home its easy, i dont have anything bad to eat. and i supplement with whey and i eat a lot of protein and fiber. I don't crave foods. I never really ate any sweets anyhow. I dunno, im just on my game with the food thing. If i do get hungry for some reason, i just snack on some celery and stuff.

i always get asked if i get bored with the same stuff, but like every couple of weeks ill change it up. add tuna or salmon instead of chicken, replace oatmeal with eggwhites and something etc. i dunno cherry, im just weird. i think of food as building blocks for the better me.
