Marsia's Diary

That's great you have more time Marsia. Nice to do things for yourself. Sounds like the therapy is working as I'm guessing crying it out is a good result.

I am interested in how a hundred years ago, psychology became so relevant and interesting to the whole population because so much amazing theory was being formulated by absolute geniuses in the field. The artists were very inspired by this and also by the influx of art from "primitive" non-western cultures. The art world just exploded with incredibly creative works around that time, and then the world wars happened and artists scattered, and technology and innovation became what was the exciting new thing. Well, I think we need all that psychological genius and artistic exploration of our humanity again now, and that the wars curtailed those cultural movements, and society never truly integrated what was discovered. I would like to do very big works eventually about creativity and positive psychology expressed in images.

Thank you for sketching this out for us - it's truly fascinating to ponder that, a whole-world picture of the tides of thought, psychological, but philosophical too?, washing across civilizations, and bringing out, releasing, their/our latent creativity - and to see the crushing impact of wars, too (which impact hasn't really left us, alas).

The "very big works" - I love some of the work being done as public art, big murals in public places, like the sides of siloes or multi-storey buildings. Could that be something you'd be interested in? I think there's a huge need for positive art of all kinds - stories, music, visual arts... all kinds! In connection with which, I love that you're getting in touch with your personal power - that sounds so good!

I can picture you having your own business, either part or full-time doing art therapy, Marsia. Our niece is a psychologist & has art therapy workshops. I really can imagine you doing this. Do you sculpt as well? Pottery is meant to be so good for us. I'm not crafty or artistic but I am so tempted to dabble in pottery & see where it takes me.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend, hon xoxo

Hi Marsia very best of luck with your art and all you have going on . I completely hear you on the time management and if you recall I did the same last year . Look forward to hearing from you when you get a chance to pop by but stay safe and happy and look after your self and your lovely family

Hey Marsia, thanks for checking in :grouphug: I can´t imagine you being a bad influence on anyone, but our own experience not being a good fit for others is a very normal thing. That´s one of the reasons this forum is great: you get a lot of different viewpoints you can pick and choose between. I hope you´re doing well and am glad you´re taking the time to care for yourself.

Hi, Marsia. I understand why you need a break & really appreciate you letting us know. I can't imagine you being a bad influence either, but I get what you mean. I'll be thinking of you & picture you painting & doing yardwork & having fun with K :beating: Be happy sweets xoxoxo

I don't follow about being triggering, but I do follow wanting to try a bit of break! Have a great and restful and creativity-filled time - look forward to hearing from you whenever it suits! :)

Glad you're ok xoxo
Maybe it's time to give a generator some serious thought.......says Cate who should get one too! If the power goes out here we have no way of getting water.

...... Power is on and I cleaned the fridge top to bottom after lots of food spoiled. ....
sorry to hear you lost food this way. i have a pretty big freezer for a single person, so one thing i do solves two concerns. i have about half a dozen large freezer bags i filled with water and froze. a fuller freezer runs more efficiently than an empty freezer full of air. then if power should go out, i can move the ice bags into the refrigerator and it becomes an ice box.... for at least a lot longer than a refrigerator will stay cold.

Happy
Birthday
