231 this morning. It's been a while since I could say this but that's a new low.
When I was at the Doctor's Office earlier this week, I noticed they shared space with a Radiology outfit. They had a sign board listing the procedures they do, and one of them was a DEXA scan. Traditionally it's used as a bone density scan for folks who might be experience bone loss, but there's also a body composition component and apparently it's very accurate. So yesterday I went in and inquired about it.
I want to know what my body fat% is so that I can make some sort of decision on what would be a good weight to stop at. If I'm at 22% body fat right now, I could be stopping really soon. If I'm at 32% body fat I have a ways to go. And honestly, based on the estimators online, I could be either one or anywhere in between right now. It doesn't seem like it's too expensive for a one-time shot. I'll need a scrip from my doc but that shouldn't be a problem.
I also played some basketball against the youngsters yesterday. Lots of fun. Personal training in an hour and a half. Going to visit the parents later for a birthday get together (mine is tomorrow) and there should be some significant food there including a birthday cake. Not really a big deal though, I can handle myself.
Normally birthdays tend to be a little depressing as you get older, but since I look and feel about a dozen years younger than I did on my last two birthdays, this one probably won't be so bad. Thanks to my chart I know that I weighed 350.5 on my 41st birthday last year and probably more than that on my 40th the year before. 231 sounds lovely in comparison.
