Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

Listening to the Cat Empire right now (a band from down Lucy's way). Dancing all about, probably burning some good calories.

"peak sexy"....is that in Colorado? I don't think I'm ready to climb that baby yet but you are 40 lbs lighter than me so go for it dude!

I've never actually seen Peak Sexy, nor been close to it, but I'll get there somehow. I'm going to knock this guy:

off his perch.

Anyhow, 232.5 this morning, which I guess is movement in the right direction.

231 this morning. It's been a while since I could say this but that's a new low.

When I was at the Doctor's Office earlier this week, I noticed they shared space with a Radiology outfit. They had a sign board listing the procedures they do, and one of them was a DEXA scan. Traditionally it's used as a bone density scan for folks who might be experience bone loss, but there's also a body composition component and apparently it's very accurate. So yesterday I went in and inquired about it.

I want to know what my body fat% is so that I can make some sort of decision on what would be a good weight to stop at. If I'm at 22% body fat right now, I could be stopping really soon. If I'm at 32% body fat I have a ways to go. And honestly, based on the estimators online, I could be either one or anywhere in between right now. It doesn't seem like it's too expensive for a one-time shot. I'll need a scrip from my doc but that shouldn't be a problem.

I also played some basketball against the youngsters yesterday. Lots of fun. Personal training in an hour and a half. Going to visit the parents later for a birthday get together (mine is tomorrow) and there should be some significant food there including a birthday cake. Not really a big deal though, I can handle myself.

Normally birthdays tend to be a little depressing as you get older, but since I look and feel about a dozen years younger than I did on my last two birthdays, this one probably won't be so bad. Thanks to my chart I know that I weighed 350.5 on my 41st birthday last year and probably more than that on my 40th the year before. 231 sounds lovely in comparison.

HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY SKINNY!
231 is awesome and you might still make your modeled ETA for <230. I think a DEXA scan would be super. Not only would it give you a more meaningful goal it would have some great potential for extrapolation, modelling, general expansion of useful self-nerdery. I'm sure you thought of that while still facing the sign board.

Your own personal DEXA corrected body fat estimator would be sweet.

Yes, yes it would. :D

Thinking about setting up the Doctor's appointment (the appointment to go get the scrip) next week. I suppose it's possible he'll write me the scrip without going to see him, but we'll see. Off to training! I think today is core, which is always quite painful, but will help turn my keg into a six pack.

Now you've got me thinking about having a DEXA scan. I could say I want my bone density checked as my Mum has Osteoporosis & I would probably get one done for nothing. Do I want to know though? I won't wish you happy birthday yet, but it is great that you KNOW that you look much younger than your last 2 birthdays! 231? WELL DONE!!!!

232.5 this morning. Not so bad really as I probably overate some while at my parents. I did, however, take a late night walk trying to work off some of the damage.

Personal training again today. Yesterday was actually shoulders, so today is likely going to be core.

Happy Birthday to you,

Was 231.5 yesterday, and now am once again house sitting away from my trusty scale, so I won't have another number until Friday (go home Thursday night). Hopefully I'll break 230 that day.

Going to make a trip to Ikea tomorrow to buy a computer desk (and possibly a chair). Will try and steer clear of the meatballs.

Sorry I'm late from the birthday party !!!! Happy Belated Birthday !!!!! :)
Ikea is very distracting, I was there once for 4 hours but I didn't get any food because "it's too expensive" :) lol

It's the cinnamon rolls that do me in at Ikea. That smell wafting through the air as you wait to check out...mmmm.....

Happy belated birthday!!!

329.5 this morning and so the 330 barrier is indeed finally broken.

Back from my workout and today is a moving furniture/home improvement day. I've moved my desk already and it feels weird sitting at a different angle. It does open up a ton of space in the room though. I also now sit right next to the window, which isn't of much use now, but will be in a month or so.

Looks like you dodged the meatballs. That's ahead of schedule if I recall your ETA correctly. Stellar job once again Vee!

Slightly behind, but nothing too bad. The graph:

You can see the red line a little above for a while now. Today is supposed to be 228.8 so I'm a little above that. But ultimately the curve will adjust itself if this continues. The test will be when I make it below 200. My model says the third week of December, but the NIH model says after new years, so we'll see which one turns out to be correct.

I love your new signature Mr Vee! Looking at your graph & your steady progression is really awe inspiring! The words get over-used, but it really is a huge achievement & your persistence is amazing. The fact that you are now at the stage where you can have "peak sexy" as part of your sig. is very telling. Well done Mr Vee. Looking forward to reading about you going out on a date (but I'm not being creepy- don't want any actual details! LOL) Have you been to Trader Joe's lately? Cheers, Cate
