Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

There's going to be more of the scale fluctuations now as I'm likely losing under two pounds a week now.

241.5 this morning. Had a good time at the game though probably had a few too many light beers. Am way behind on my housework and grocery shopping and still need to get a workout in today. Not to mention actual work work.

Challenge weigh in tomorrow. The pace is supposed to be 240.5, so I might actually make it.

WOW reading thru this I see what you are going thru and makes me think I can do it, you have lost almost 100 lbs that is awesome, seriously keep up the good work. I just recently started working out my self about 1 month ago and so far im disappointed. I started out at 366lbs and now im a short guy at 5'6 so it shows. My life style is not the greates ither working graveyard and then having a baby to take care of every morning leaves little time for working out and rest. So recently I have taken advantage of the GYM at work and ben going in there during lunch atleast 4 times a week now, I usually get on the treat mill for 10-15 minutes and then lift a bit of weight, dumbels and other stuff, I also tend to use the arc trainer a bit more than treadmill because makes me sweat more and easier on my legs especially the one I have had an accident on. But yeah anyways the reason im disappointed is I really haven't ben seeing that much as far as results go, only lost about 5 lbs and haven't really lost anything last couple weeks. I have ben trying to cut out soda and all that stuff and reduce my portions a bit but haven't really kept tract of cal intake daily. Was wondering what you think. I hear and have read that since im doing weight lifting at the same time that my weight might not be going down but that I might be losing fat being replaced by muscle ???? Not sure what I think of this it might be true. Also I usually wear shorts and a cut of shirt for work outs should I be wearing sweat pants and sweat shirt, will it help burn fat ?? Just looking to see what you think since I see you have ben doing this for a bit and have results. And ones again great work. Keep it up. My goal weight is 250 ATM then from there hopefully arounf 200-180 just like your self.

You are so right Don, often when I go swimming (stay in the pool for an hour and a half, sometimes two hours) I let mind drift and I think about Mr. V (that actually sounds a little wrong somehow ;-p) but I think 'I WILL do this weight loss all the way, I WILL stay committed and I WILL keep posting in my diary just like the Mr.'

I've decided to quit posting in the diary. :D

Just kidding. Anyway 241.5 this morning. So I'm a little over pace, but it's still trending downward.

Also there are hints at further losses as I'm on a new hole on my belt now even though the weight has changed very much.

Surprisingly, I think the summer is having a very slight negative effect on my calorie burning. I do what I can, but it's just so much easier to get non exercise related activity going when it's not 110 degrees outside. I was doing a fair amount of walking to various places until May and I'd be more than happy to still do so if it wasn't so damned brutal outside.

Trending downward is still good. It's not a race it's a destination. Who cares if it slows some. You are a mathematical type, you can make a new model! The important thing is the impact you have had on your health and the encouragement you have been to your friends on here!

Internet outages the last few days and they're finally fixed. 240.5 on the scale both mornings. One of these days I'm going to bust that 240 barrier.

I just wanted to say that I love your sense of humour! Great job on all the weight you've lost so far!

I'm just coming back after quite a hiatus! Giving up/losing motivation, starting over, getting pregnant, losing baby weight plus some, getting pregnant again .... and now here I am. Anyway, I look forward to reading more of your diary!

You will be in heaven at 237!
You will attract the chicks at 236!
You will really come alive at 235!
You will be losing fat hard core at 234!
You will be awesome Mr Vee at 233!
I could keep going....Love it brawny!!

Awesome work Vee! I think your body works hard to retain water when you are exposed to really high temps. I know this time of year when i have to work in the peak heat of the day my feet and hands even swell. Stick to your guns and the numbers will catch up to your model. Just think of it as an unaccounted and difficult to quantify variable. You'll be able to look back on the data and maybe even adjust your model for the fluctuation next summer. Come on fall!

I've been a bum and nor used your model to date. I'm ignoring the scal efor a while, but I WILL use it one of these days and I am still very greatful that you've shared it with me.

Keep up the good work!

Thought I had posted yesterday, but maybe I never hit 'send.' Anyway yesterday was 240.5 again. Woke up late for a 7:30 golf tee time, and so rushed out the door without weighing.

Two good things: shot the lowest round of my life on a real course, 85, and when I got home and changed into dry clothes was 239 on the scale. While I did sweat a lot out on the course, I also had three light beers, a bunch of water and stopped and picked up a sandwich on the way home. So maybe, just maybe I'm in position to break 240 officially tomorrow morning.

Happy Bastille Day to all the French and French Canadian posters on here!

Woohoo for unofficial 230s!

Agh, can't believe you played golf if it's that hot outside lol. I spent the majority of the last 2 years inside cuz it was hot year round (oh, and because of the freakishly large and violently territorial lizards everywhere
. And possibly because I couldn't walk haha!) Actually I woke up and turned the heat on this morning, it's cold here!

Wow- 85! Good for you!! How exciting being almost in the 230's..........Life is good & getting even better Mr Vee :D

You're doing so great, it's really gets harder to loose it when you get lighter, but you just keep on going.
Awesome job man!
