Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

Hope your enjoying your trip Mr Vee.

Your comparison picture really is impressive! (I've been meaning to ask every time you do your pic, What's the registration number about? :D)

How's your basketball games coming? Know you mentioned a while ago about trying to get into some more games.

Steve

252.5 this morning as I am back from my trip.

Steve, the license plate on the wall is my idea of 'home decorating.' They aren't re-usable.

Personal training starts up again today.

Welcome back Vee! My license plates have ended up as shed hole patch, bird feeder roof, and motorcycle kick stand rest. My room in the house is decorated with skulls, skeletons, insects, pickled snakes, and music posters. It might need a Washington license plate now that I think about it.

Hope you had a good trip V!
I have a few US license plates on my fence here in Holland (none from Arizona though), so for me it's exterior decorating I guess

The ones on my wall are from Illinois. have only had one Arizona plate and it's currently on my car.

Oh my god Mr.Vee, you have done amazingly! The amount of weight you have lost is staggering. You are awesome, REALLY! It has been a long journey for you, and your almost there. I bet you have so much more energy now.

WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!

252 this morning. Need to get this in gear as I still haven't 'officially' broke 250.

I think I confused Cate a bit. Visited my family here in Arizona before I left to go back to Chicago. My family lives here now too. Went to Chicago for the week on business, it's just a coincidence that I happen to be from there, I had to go for work.

I worked my keister off all week. Got my workouts in the first few days and ate well, and then 15 hour work days descended upon me. I'm glad I don't have to do this all the time. Hopefully my time spent was productive. It's awfully good to be back home, though unfortunately only for a week.

A little bit of re-focus should get me back on track. As much progress as I've made, I still have a very long way to go and so it's important to fight complacency on this. Getting back to the workout schedule and the personal training will be no problem at all, but it's still important to follow the diet plan a little more strictly than I was able to. We all mess up from time to time, but I can't use being busy as an excuse to blow that off.

More personal training today, as well as a couple of hours compiling my expense reports.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words and support. 185 remains the goal and so 250 is great but not close to where I need to be, so no cartwheels for me just yet.

251 this morning, progress of a sort I guess.

Going to have to get a new driver's license today as my old one is tattered and some of the numbers have worn off (a situation which caused me no end of problems while traveling). When I get it, I'll scan the two licenses and post side by sides of the two photos.

No personal training, high temp of 108, so that means treadmill or basketball. Probably treadmill as that gives me the more reliable workout and I need to make up some lost ground. Maybe I could invent a sport where you play basketball while on a treadmill...

249! this morning. The 250 mark is officially broken and hopefully the poise on my scale won't have to be moved back up again.

Now we can move on to the next step. I think I'll pick 230 as a target. Right around there my numbers say my waist would drop below 40 inches, and my body fat would drop below 30%. I can also, from memory, put a time in the past on that weight as that was the last weight before I stopped caring for a while. That was Christmas of 1998. The model also has it happening almost exactly at my birthday, so it's sort of a good spot to pick for the next goal.

Personal training today. I think it's triceps and biceps day.

Awesome work Vee! I would like to get an inexpensive poise scale that is calibrated/has certified accuracy. Any recommendations? Also, enjoy working the guns today. Curls for the girls!

I bought my Health-o-Meter for $160 back in late July last year. I realized I wanted an accurate reading and my old digital scale gave a different result every time I stepped on. I was taking an approach that if it was going to help me reach my goals, $160 was a minimal investment.

There's no good way to get it more precise than half pound increments, but otherwise it does exactly what I want it to do: give me the same result if I step on five times in a row. There's a screw adjustment you can use to calibrate if you need, but I've yet to see mine go out of balance (IE, it doesn't balance with the weight at '0').

The key for me is that _it_ is consistent so that a pound lost is a pound lost regardless of how accurate the overall weight is. In my mind taking the electronics out of the equation lessened the chances for things to go out of whack. Maybe I'm wrong on that.

You can check out a whole bunch of scales on Amazon and see what's going to work best for you.

I am so impressed with your progress....Your thread title is "looking for that extra human..." Well I think you have almost found them! Your consistency is a model for us dude! Maybe this Arizona and Texas heat we are about to go through will help us sweat off a few more. Speaking of that I bet the heat is not quite as bad on you at this weight vs last summer huh?
