Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

Congrats on hitting a new low weight! That has to be a great feeling. Hopefully you'll reach your next one within the range that the model shows. :)

252 this morning. Ironically, it was Wednesday of last week when my weight spiked high at 259, so a week later it has spiked low at 252. I obviously haven't "really" lost seven pounds in a week; the previous Wednesday I was 256.5, and the one before that I was 260.5. Odd how it fluctuates so much.

Basketball this morning and then a day full of work before. Business trip in a week and a half. Would be nice to crack 250 before I leave as I won't be weighing the week I'm out of town.

Congratulations on the low!

You have helped me tremendously in learning that this is a process. Individual measurements mean little compared to the trends. A bad weigh-in doesn't make me happy, but it does make me look into why it may have happened, then make adjustments. I know that in time, following the plan, the trend will go in my favor.

Congrats on getting to a new low weight! How exciting! You have plenty of time to get to 250lb before your trip so hopefully you'll get there. :)

252.5 on Thursday morning.

My trainer got injured and so I haven't had any personal training this week. So it's been a good test for me to get out there and do my training by myself. It is harder without having anyone there to push you, but I felt like I did a good job with my legs workout on Tuesday. Today is chest and back and hopefully I'll be able to push myself and get the work in that I need. Going there and doing the workouts isn't any harder, it's when you reach the end of a set and are struggling where having the trainer helps.

Still unless I win the lotto I can't have a trainer three times a week forever, so it's good to be able to do this sort of stuff by myself. The plan:

Rowing Machine at max resistance for 8 minutes.
Smith machine push ups (an incline pushup using the bar on a smith machine)
Smith machine inverted row (raising the bar on the smith machine and then pulling myself up from underneath the bar)
Chest press machine
Squat Row (using a cable machine do rows from a squat position)
If I have any time I may try some single arm plank rows; those are really tough on me and cause me to sweat all over the mats :)

The big key today is to try and not make as many loud groans of pain as those are more embarrassing when you're just there by yourself.

252 this morning, one week before the end of the month.

Not sure what I'm going to do for exercise today. Hmmm...

Hi Mr Vee, good to hear that you are kicking some serious arse(ass) still!! Awesome! It's great being back home again after a wonderful holiday! I have serious jet lag & a sore throat but had such a great time! Lost 1kg too! WEE HOO! I'll catch up properly soon. Cheers, Cate

Welcome back Cate!

Anyhow weighed 251 yesterday and 252 today. There was substantial amounts of drinking on Friday night, less so on Saturday. So not really worried about the scale on either day.

Want to wish a happy Memorial Day to the Americans on here and a happy Monday to everyone else. :)

Will be playing basketball tomorrow morning (a guy at the club has got me playing him 1 on 1 a couple times a week) and then heading to the parents for the obligatory Memorial Day BBQ. They have a pool so it should be fun.

Thanks Mr Vee! I don't think any of us should ever underestimate the importance of simple words of support & friendship. "Welcome back." Thank you. :D Happy Memorial Day & enjoy that pool & the company of your folks. Friends & family are the most important things in the world I think! Cheers, Cate.

Hey MrVee - well done for working out without the trainer - good for you!!
You keep getting good readings on the scale too.

I hope you had fun at the BBQ!!

I hope you enjoyed your visit and BBQ. We have a pool too, but it's been too cold to use it. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we'll be able to open ours up! :)

253.5 the day after Memorial Day. Probably overate yesterday, but not really going to worry about it. Worked out like a maniac today and hopped back on the diet plan.

I just need to be under 253 by Friday to be on pace so no worries.

Less than a week away from my big trip. Haven't been back to my home town in six years or so, and I'm kind of excited.

SIX years? Wow! Hope you have a great time Mr Vee. It's really good to see your self confidence- "I just need to be under 253 by Friday to be on pace so no worries." This is the new you! Well done!

So still hugging the curve huh?
Excellent!
