I have had the flu the last few days, combined with the insomnia I have had very little sleep and have been in a very bad mood which came to a head this morning.

Little miss is being looked after by a friend so I could try to get some sleep today so after a couple of hours in bed this morning I finally got to sleep only to be woken up by a ^%#%%#$ cheerful Australian (not the usual Indian or Chinese) telemarketer asking how my day is going :flame:(I am on the do not call list) After telling him in no uncertain terms how I felt he had the hide to say that i should leave my phone off the hook. FUCK, I have to have the phone on in case of Emergencies now I am wide awake cranky, every muscle in my body aches from the flu and I am exhausted from lack of sleep.

I hope he googles some of what I called him, I would hate for him to not fully understand some of the terms used in my cranky rant eg. Felcher

I'm not often lost for words, but I just looked up the word Felcher. Eeuww! Remind me not to upset you :)

:) I´m not going to look it up... I do hope you feel better soon. Telemarketing is a special kind of horrible and while I try to always stay polite because you never know how desperate people are before taking that kind of job in your case he was obviously an arse-pimple to begin with.

I do not cope well without sleep & that's why I every night I take an old-fashioned low-dose anti-histamine that also acts as a sedative(10mg Phenergan). It works for me. I have not been a good sleeper for decades.

I don't seem to respond to some medications in the same way as most, Phenergan would have me wide awake.

I had some caffeine before bed and slept a lot better last night. I respond to medications in a similar way to my ADHD sons, the main medications that would calm them down and help them chill out are like taking speed for anybody else, and if their medication was wearing off in the afternoon caffeine would slow them down. My youngest son still has caffeine to calm his brain down when he is struggling and literally bouncing off the walls (at 19 and a strength athlete trained by me it rocks the house badly) but at least he no longer needs the heavy duty meds that he was on when he was at school, and his Autism just gives him a quirky personality most of the time after many years of seeing assorted therapists including speech therapists and learning how to cope with some of his other issues. My middle son has recently gone back on the heavy meds as he was not able to cope without them despite having a few years break to try.

Bodies are weird. It´s fascinating how differently they can react to similar stimuli but it´s generally mighty inconvenient to BE that fascinating exception.

Little miss is in childcare today, heading out to take some photographs and do some walking, hips are not to bad today. I soooo want to be able to get back in the gym.

Lots of walking today and have not eaten enough. spent some time this afternoon relaxing and taking pics of a specimen hubby brought home from work for me.

Long dead potter wasp from the school science department, combination of a 100mm macro lens with a further 65mm of extension tubes added. so this is 1.65 X magnification on the camera sensor, image has not been cropped but is reduced in size for posting online.

I was not able to get to the photography race yesterday for a couple of reasons, first being my hips were playing up badly so a lot of running around would have left me unable to walk. The other is hubby was sick making him unable to help our youngest son to his karate comp, so I ended up going to the karate and taking pics. Son done well with 4 firsts, 2 2nds and a 3rd place.

one of the events he won was the high kick challenge, kicking a target 2 ft above his head height (the kick heights were all based on the entrants height so the tall people did not have an advantage)

The judge holding the target is standing on a chair to get the target high enough, my timing was not quite right with the photo, getting the shot just before contact.
