Thursday..hurts doesn't it.

ok so i realize that interval cardio wears me down as the week goes on. i think i will NOT do intervals every day. its probably just like lifting weights. i was soooo done. i did 45 mins of interval then pushed through the last 20 min. i was worn out completely, still burned 1100 machine cals though so it was well worth it. took my racket in to get restrung yesterday, and plan on picking it up today, along with a good ole' session of tennis. i am so happy my wrist healed appropriately, i was worried my tennis days may have been done for. so yah tomorrow will be a half hour of straight cardio, no intervals since i've done it 4 times this week. fun times indeed. my friend went back home, so i will be sleeping more now, since i can just go straight home from tennis and go to bed. ok back to work i go. would have posted around seven, but i wanted to get the ball rolling on some things here before i started my "extra curricular" activities.
 
friday.. and a little surprise...

ok, so here we are.. end of the week. I played tennis again yesterday for another 3 HOURS!!! I'm insane i know, but it took its tool on me at the gym. today i did 30 min on the good ole' elliptical, then i did just ONE SET of my circuit. i wa worn. and it was friday, and i was like hey 90 reps in a week full body isn't too bad, so i just rolled with it. anyway, i said i wasn't going to weigh in until august, but a guy at the gym asked me to weigh in with him, so i did. and it was 260 on the nose! nice i say nice! so 60 to go, and if i decided to weigh in on monday its almost guaranteed to be in the 250's. good times indeed. take a nice long break saturday to relax. and do daily maintenance work. anyway people will be excited for me and i can't wait to see the responces lol (so daon't fail me!) talk to you peeps soon.

Re: the interval training, I remember reading I think on Lyle Mcdonald's site that the interval training has the same effects on the body as weight lifting does in that you need recover time. In fact he only suggests doing it for 8 weeks at a time and then taking a break from it.
 
as i told you the other day... way to go dude!!! You should be very very proud of yourself!!! :) Congrats on the huge success!!!!! what did you do today for your work out... or is this an off day since its saturday hehe
 
Monday

hey mel! yeah sats are days off from the gym, but i did do some light tennis, meaning i was basically teaching the other person how to play. I had a reallly fun weekend and sunday i attened pretty much a Filipino BBQ that pretty much canceled any chance of me losing any weight over the weekend lol but the food was delish! I did play tennis sunday and friday evening too, so i ahd good times. I'm not too worried about not losing i mean it was only like sat and sun lol. it'll come off when it comes off. Workout was nice. cut out like the second set of 2 because of time constraints, but its all good yo! lol. I hate how on monday i can handle everything with ease and friday i am ready to die on every machine. OH YEAH.... yesterday i went for a 1 mile walk with my roommate and his brother. my roommate needs to lose as well, i hope i am enough inspiration for him to get off his butt. To much video games when he could be doing something for his body.... he has a treadmill and never uses it. anyway. there were ahead of me, so i ran a little to catch up. it was pretty far for me and i wasn't too bad. so after the mile i figured i would do another loop around the block, which is about a half mile. I was actually able to run the whole thing! i surprised myself. i could have even kept going, so next time i will try for a mile. or maybe 3/4 of a mile. but it was exciting to to actually be able to run and not feel pain! anyway, that's all i got for you. i gots serious work to do today here at work and i'm gonna get cracking. I'll check up on other diaries as they are updated!
 
glad to hear you enjoyed some yummy food at the picnic! It tells me at least you are HUMAN!!! Boy sometimes i think you are a MACHINE!!! hehe. Glad you got to indulge in some yummies... alot of times we need that. The running bit was good... way to build up that endurance like you have over the last few months.... certainly progress you made right there! Great to hear buddy!

So if you can pick ONE THING to work on this week... whether it be in your your mental health, physical health, or just your own personal life... what is it going to be???? :)

Terrific job on the running! Isn't it so amazing when you're able to complete something that you didn't think was possible. I get such a rush from trying out new things. I think that's what is helping keep exercise a constant in my life. If I did the same thing (and didn't like it) day in and day out, I wouldn't last a month.

So what are you going to do for yourself when you get down into the 250s? I think when I get below 200, I'm going to get a 1.5 hour swedish massage. YEAH!

I'm updating my crap* ( i don't use profanity) per mel's demands, and i apparently missed ymca's post yesterday.. all will be covered in the following statements..

first, ymca:
I don't have any plans except to get my new BF%. i would love to be 25% or lower, which is HIGHLY optimistic, but anything under 30 will make me happy. i think i was at 32% when i hit 280, which was 3% down from when i was 300. so realistically i expect to see like 28-26%, but if 25 poops up i'll go coo-coo for co-co puffs! enjoy that massage!

Kickboxing eh? sounds fun! I'm sure your A** looks fine as it, but if you want it smaller, than go for it! you have my support all the way! lol

TODAY.
well, actually yesterday then today. yesterday post work, i did my normal tennis session. good times 3 hours of tennis bliss. I am so sore from that plus the workout. went in later today, i slept in this morning and got up around 6. hit the gym around 7:15, did a nice smooth hour of cardio, which was fairly easy. no intervals, since i did them yesterday. 65 min (5 min cooldown included) 6.63 miles 1055 calories burned whooo! lol. not my best, but it was nice indeed. then again, since i am smaller, i would burn less calories. so who knows?

i hope mel is happy now! there's your update! cheers!

I love 1000 calorie burns on any machine!! I hear you though on the amount of calories you burn decreasing as you lose weight, but I find it just makes me work that much harder by either upping the resistance or sprinting longer (I primarily use the AMT). Sounds like you had a great workout though, so keep it up! :D

SO here i am. i realize that i would like a workout buddy, not someone to workout with per say, but someone who works in tandem, kinda like you guys, but local. blah. Today was circuit weights, then cardio. Normally i do it the other way around, but i wanted to make sure i got in all my weight training today. cardio obviously wasn't as intense, even though i still did intervals, because my legs were so weak from the 40 squats i did lol. Overall a good workout! yesterday i had 3 slizes of pizza, so i need to make up for that today lol. Yesterday i actually felt normal for the first time. even though i am still overweight, i actually felt small while driving to work. i was look at how i was sitting and how i had my arm positioned to hold the wheel, and i realized i couldn't sit like this 6 months ago! awesome feeling to have. anywayz, just wanted to share a little, and i hope everyone is ok!

oh and melissa, you don't have to censor yourself for me! i appreciate you just the way you are. don't change a thing!!!
