hey guys i'm here just did a hard hour of cardio today. about 1050 cals! whoo. anyway, i had errands to run this mronig so i am only doing a half day of work and didn't hit the gym until 9 o'clock. it felt good to sleep in! i'll check peeps out. of and thanks for stopping by bansheebabe! i'll be sure to check out your journal!
 
effin friday!

So here it is.... FRIDAY!!! Another fantastic workout! #0 min on interval cardio followed by my circuits of weights... whoooooo! no tennis the past couple days, so i had a lot of energy in reserve to rawk it out! it was nice overall. i talked to the guy i mention a like 20 pages ago who was on the same losing track as me, except he didn't do weights. well it seem he is almost at his goal. he is settling for 250, and he is at 255, 104 lobs lost this year, crazy crazy. he looks pretty good, but he has skin issues that hopefully pulls back. I want him to go smaller or bulk up, but he refuses, which sucks, he's about 6 inches taller, so but i still think i look smaller than him lol. he realized what i was talking about, since there is what a 3-5lb difference in our weights. he used to claim he was a big guy and 250 was where he needed to be. i told him he was a fat guy and is fairly small in build and could go lower. so now that we are at a fairly slim size, he see how much bigger i am than him, despite being so much shorter. so maybe i can convince him to go a little further. he was asking about my plans post target weight, and i told him tone and maintain baby lol. but blah blah. i think i am looking purty darn good now, despite my lower chest and what's left of my extra chin (my two most hated parts of my body) but anyway enough rambling. this girl i'm kinda seeing is taking me out to see harry potter on tomorrow, so i'll look forward to that. other than that, the plan is rest and tennis. i also my try and run a solid mile. talks to you all laters.
 
Nice progress so far! I will definitely be visiting your diary more often for updates :) Have a fun date ;) im going to see Harry Potter tonite with my boyfriend too.

Mel, you are a doll. but you do speak the truth. If you still want to have the life you have now, and lose weight, it won't happen. they way you live now is why you are overweight. the most important thing i have found in this journey is finding a balance. You have to compromise with yourself and be willing to give up a lot. a lot! I don't have cravings or things like that. if you feel like you want chocolate, than eat it in moderation. don't hold things back to save a couple calories. man i pigged out yesterday over some home-cooked goodness. i at a second helping and had a stomach ache. i felt it was worth it lol. did i blow my calories for the day, probably not lol, but even if i did, if you are doing it right it won't matter. when you change your lifestyle, you don't get hung up on calories and such. you just do and do hard. I say look at it like this. if you wouldn't complain about that donut if you were your goal weight, then don't complain now. it will still add the sam number of calories, and you will probably burn even less calories per day, being smaller, so..... just don't sweat it. everything in moderation. you guys are great. just keep pushing. i know some of you ahve it harder than others, but you WILL get there. one day at a time.
 
hey guys, i have a quick update. following work i went and played 3 hours of tennis, then decided to jog... after going to google map... i ran .8 miles non-stop! i so could have ran the last .2 mile no prob, but obviously i didn't know how far i was actually running..l i'm so excited.. iam going to try and run a 5k next may, and i think i may actually do it!

Although hardly surprising, given how much you kick butt with the exercising.

I'd like to be able to start running some day. I tell myself that I'll give it a shot once I'm down to 250, but I'm not sure I'm willing to wait that long to try (although my knees would be happy if I did wait).

i don't remember the last time i updated for the whole weekend, but i am so pumped lol! Yesterday i got in my tennis, it was pretty lackluster, but it was a workout. not ot mention i was tired from 3 hours of tennis the day before plus the 1.5 hours at the gym, plus the .8 miles i ran. Saw harry potter, which i enjoyed, and went bar hopping with friends (even though along with using profanity i don't drink or smoke either...) which was cool to be able to chat. well today i decided i will see where i tap out in running and time myself. i went on google and laid out a path 2.2 miles long, and were ever i stop i can move the path in google maps. and i would time it as well. soooo. What ended up happening was i completely ran THE WHOLE DISTANCE, witha time of 22 min. Which puts me at 6 mph, and has me uber excited! i had no idea i had all this in me. i'll be doing a 5k easy by the end of next month lol! anyway the rest of the day is pure relaxation in preperation for the new week. have a good day all!

it is! i am thinking about going to soak in the hot tub at the gym, then grabbing a bite to eat... so bored.., but its nice!
 
New week, another workout.

so after a weekend of running and tennis, i'm b ack at the routine. it was kinda crappy because i was on time constraints and totally only did 3/4ths of my workout. i did get in my half hour of interval cardio, so i am content. weigh-in today and i am at 256! that's right 74 down, 56 to go. Awesome indeed. ahh it feels soooo good. to have progress, i think the thing about seeing the numbers is that it is a secondary confirmation your body is changing and that's why people get addicted to the scale, however i will say, if you don't have a good balance you still may be upset at how your body looks, if the numbers go down too fast. most people lose weight because they want to look better, then health comes into play lol. We obsess over losing and try to lose at an accelerated rate and when skin stops pulling back we get even more discouraged, because even though we are now healthy, we look like wrinkled towels lol. Not all of us though. so take it slow! i was in the 260s for longer than i expected, but hey i'm letting ,my body do what it needs to do to lose right lol. i'm really happy now, and thanks to everyone of my wonderful fans! you're all beautiful! lol so i am down 22.4% of what i started, which is awesome. tennis tonight, then tomorrow i may run again. it will be 1 mile tomorrow, then i'll go up to 2 then 3.5 on sat or sun.. wish me luck on the last one lol.
 
Congrats on the weight loss and the running! I only hope one day that i will be able to run as well. Sometimes, i am not sure if its a mental thing telling me im too fat to run so i dont or if i actually cant run yet. I find i get too freaked out by my breathing and the feeling of running so i stop or i dont do it at all. I will definitely wish you luck on the 3.5 miles! I think you will do it :)

hey i'm surprised myself. i am happy that things are going so well. Thisis the most in shape i've ever been in. it excellent. and the best part? its only gonna get better!
 
taco tuesday!

hey peeps. played tennis for 2 hours 45 minutes and it was great. dragged myself into the gym this morning to put in an hour 10 min of cardio. i ran a quater mile on the track after i finished my 65 min on the elliptical, good times. I was a bum and weighed myself again to see if i could get 255, because like rounded numbers on my ticker. and i was at 255.2 or something, so i'll update and just have to deal with a 6 day weigh in next week. ah well, so 55 to go. yay! today is taco tuesday at work, so i'll be having a couple of chicken soft tacos and my starbucks. tuesday is essentially a cheat day, i'll be having sushi for dinner tonight! yum!
