any post in my thread is welcome. i just enjoy seeing people lol. yeah i need to get out the 260's lol i'll be a little behind my schedule but no worries. i am looking forward to the next stage and burning off the last 65!
 
thursday..although it should be friday.

i swear this is my fifth day at work.... but all signs point to the fourth. Yesterday was nice. i saw my friend, which was a good experience. it was kinda bad because we chatted for like 30 min and we decided to take nap then i went home to eat dinner and go to bed. but i'll see her today, and they'll be no naps involved. i went to bed pretty early, well like 9:30, so i should be fine today. workout was stellar, 99% of my shirt was soaking in the sweat of a good cardio workout. i found out the gym opens at 6 tomorrow, which means its going to be a lot more crowded than normal. hopefull a lot of people take the day off to go out of town and such. I have the option to ahve tomorrow off, but i'm not sure i want to use it. i don't get paid for it, since i am freelance, however, i could work up a work from home deal where i could get stuff done, just not hear. that would be fan-freaking-tastic. just need to make sure i have enough work to take home with me...... anyway, since i'll get 3 responses at most, i'll just ask you guys how you are doing and to all my silent viewers, i hope all is well for you guys!

I'm doing great, heading out to the gym later today and I'm going to try a circuit'esque workout where I do my normal workout but move from exercise to exercise quickly after one set and do two laps. I'm also hoping to see more good news on the scale. Currently sitting at 284 and I'd love to be in the 250's by september but it is going to be close. I would take 260 :D

Just stopping by because I saw you had an update. As cord said, you have a pretty stacked circuit training regiment. I have been trying to do something similiar, but it involves much less machines/weights (4-6). As long as I raise the heart rate and get a good sweat out of it, I am pretty satisfied with my workout lol. Good luck with this weekends foods! I try and remember that I worked hard all week, and it just isnt worth it to slip up and go crazy during the weekend.

I went in to the pool at 7:30 this morning, and it was good. Had a lane to myself - seems only seniors go that early around here.

Work from home - sounds nice.

gym opens at 5 am.

and seniors are a part of the problem. i use a couple machines, and i swear they spend more time resting on the machines than doing an actual workout....
 
Finally friday...

Well its here.. and i am at work. I'm thinking half day and work from home the other couple hours to make 40. Gym workout was good but it was a little laid back. i got there at a little after six, and it was like 7 people there, which was great. first circuit went really well, then second circuit some middle-aged woman sat on the leg extension machine forever! Like i said she was resting on it 3x's as long as she was working out. and i've learned that when ever you ask to jump it, they use the "oh, i just got a couple more" excuse to politely say no. My thing is , i only want to do ONE and you sitting on it isn't exactly utilizing it..... so get off and let me do my work out! people don't realize they can rest else where? what was even worst her 2 minute breaks between her sets of 8-10 was only 30 lbs!!!! i know its different weight for everyone, but come on, there is no way you need 2 minutes to recover from extending 30 pounds 8-10 times. if i can do 215 15 times and go straight to another workout, you cna rest less than 2 mins.. anyway just venting.. if i offended anyone with my you can do better than that with 30lbs i'm sorry. i know we all have different weights we can do, but its more about hogging the machine than anything. anyway, after workout. i chit chatted with the people i used to see before i started going in at 5 am. I wasn't in a rush to get to work anyway. so after 45 min of that i went on to work and here i am lol. Weekend plans still in tact, got another date tonight, hopefully i have fun. can't wait for some grilled eats!!!

everyone's looking for me? i almost never post until sunday evening on the weekend. so far i pigged out yesterday... guood times lol. today won't be as bad, and i am about to go play tennnis. be back soon!
 
New plan! check it out!

ok guys i had a lot of fun and had a ton of grilled eats, and now its time to kick it in high gear! i've been laxed the last couple weeks, pretty much in maintain mode i guess. Starting now a new fat loss routine in in effect and i had a blast today! so i'll run through for those who are interested. its not much different. still full body, but i add cardio to the mix now as well. ok here we go.

30 min on elliptical. resistance of 15 first 5 min, then 2 min at resistance 17, 3 min at resistance 15. repeat until you hit 30 min. Also i try to stay above 6 mph at 17, and 6.3-6.5 at 15.

dry off change shirts lol.

weights.
everything is done in circuit form, meaning one after the other, 2 circuits and 20 reps per exercise.

squats @ 185

decline bench @ 155 "(i am going to raise this number,m i actually did 2 sets of 25 becuase it was lighter than expected.)

lat pulldown @ 120

DB upright row @ 35- i alternate between each arm

DB military press @ 45 alternate between each arm

Seated row @ 100

Tricep push down with rope @ 50

flys @ 90

DB curls @ 30 alternate between each arm


i think that was it today. things i plan on adding/alternating in are , pull ups lunges, dips, bent over rows, dead lifts leg rurls leg extentions, flat bench (DB and BB) incline bench, cable flys, debating in fron squats, pull overs, and such. should be good. anyway. tons of work to do today, so i'll be on sporadically. have a good one peeps!

I am thinking that i am relying too much on circut lately.... i need new exercises... something to change things... hence why i ran outside yesterday.... but i need to do some bench presses or something!!! I would like to figure out and learn the proper way to do squats hehe :)

Thanks for the support mel, you know i'll always be your #1 fan! As far as circuits go, what exactly are you doing. circuits is just a style of weight lifting, not a specific set of weights. I change it up all the time, weather its heavier weights less reps, lighter weight more reps, but i do 10-12 different exercises to work full body, sometime i focus certain spots but everything gets hit. circuits are good for burning fat, just don't do the same workouts every circuit. if you do lunges, do squats, if you do flat bench press, do incline or decline, or dumbell presses. a lot of variety. keep at it! i may post this in your thread just in case you check one first.
 
Tuesday!

hey all (3-4 of you, lol) today ws cardio which as i stated yesterday i changed up slightly. Oh. My. God. doing those intervals hurt my life. i did 5 min starting at level 15, then from then on it was 2 min at level 17 and 3 min at level 15, making sure i stay above 6 mph. man was it tough. i finished the hour at 6.2 miles, and with the 5 min cooldown it was 6.48. clocked in 1117 calroies burned too which is about 100 more than when i do it normally. but i am so worn out. gosh, just done. and all this work for me to do at the job. time to rock out the ipod and get crazy...
 
hey! I guess i am using circut in a different way than you are!!! Our "circut" at the gym is a section where there is a stoplight and it turns green for awhile then red. When green you work out....... then once it changes... you switch machines.

it gets the heart rate up for sure...... but kind of mundane afterawhile.... there are stepping blocks and calf rasise stations spread throughout it to break up the machine work... its only a 30 minute circut.

i hardly ever listen to music at the gym anymore. I had the ipod today, so i played it. its mostly yeah yeah yeahs now-a-days anyway. but it is just a 5 hour playlist of tons of music. I don't know what happneed, but music just was in the way for me when i do cardio. yeah circuits for me is pretty much doing everything listed above once with no breaks in between then doing them all again. gets your heart rate up and you get to pump iron RAWR!

oh my god mel, its been there for 2 weeks. i'm hurt i though all people you would notice :(


anyway. yesterday i played 3 HOURS OF TENNIS! it felt so freaking good. man. sad news is my strings broke, but we always have extra rackets we borrow from the tennis store, so it wasn't a biggie. going tomorrow to get it restrung. today i did my interval cardio followed by my circuit resistance. ad ma am i tired. I made it through though, i a happy with my day. no tennis today, just rest and relaxation. my friend leaves today, so i am going to go see her before she heads back home. it was good seeing her, as i only see her twice a year. so there goes my day in review. how is everyone else doing?
