Thats amazing Steve, both about the personal training, and about educating others on the value of the 401(k). It is so important to maintain and contribute to one for the future, because there is no guarantee that social security will be there for us when we reach retirement age, even though we are paying into it.
My dad, being the sometimes illogical guy that he is, cashed his 401(k) out a few years ago because he wanted access to it at any time. So now, his money is sitting in a money market account doing very little I presume. He's only 49 too. Sigh. He thinks this is the best thing and has tried to encourage hubby and I to do the same, but there is no way under this earth we are doing that. LOL.
