Hey Steve, hope you have a great weekend.
I did pretty good in my weight training today -- Increased poundage on every exercise - squat (+25), bench press (+20), one arm db row (+5), assisted pullups (-1 level), and stdg. mil. press (+10).
Burned 485 cal. in 48 min., but I was pretty tired after that -- figured 30 min. of cardio might be overdoing it a bit. What do you think?
Oops, OK. I just felt especially good today. Think I should go back down next time, or just stay where I am for a couple of weeks?
Stay where you are and increase slowly from here. Once you plateau on your weight increases, we will have to modify the routine, and eventually take some action for fatigue.
Thanks, coach. No DOMS today, so maybe I didn't overdo it TOO much.
Took all my measurements. Had some good results there, compared to 1 month ago - abdominal went down 3/4", chest went down 1", biceps went up 1/2", thighs went up 1/2", neck and calves stayed the same.
Question -- any advice about leg cramps at night? I eat bananas and stuff with lots of potassium; I drink a lot of water; I do stretching. I especially get them around my instep, just below my shins. I do take statins for cholesterol, and that is one of the side effects. Do you think that's the problem, or is there something else I can do.
