Journey, Not A Destination

Yesterday I went out, combination of St. Pattys Day and more so to say goodbye to my friend who is moving to California tomorrow. It was a very fun evening, about 50 people showed up and we took up most of the bar.

I am ready for warm weather. I miss being outside.

Come out here! California knows how to party! Welcome to the wild wild West!! Then we can lift weights together! How fun. I've always wanted a male friend to lift weights with. I see M/F buddies (or couples, I dunno) sometimes at the gym and the guy always gets his girl to lift big 'ol dumbells. It's very cute.

Today I'm going to try to run the forest for 55 minutes instead of 45. Let's see, aside from my 2 days of full-hour total body weight training sessions this week, I did 2 HIIT Kickboe sessions (60 min) and ran on Wed and Friday, and am going to run today. Total: 15-or-so miles ran this week, 2 hours intense weights, 2 hours HIIT, and almost 2 hours of brisk outdoor walks. No WONDER I've been eating heartily this week! Yes, this week I have been eating a lot, probably not creating much of a caloric deficit, but I'm not worried. I'm certain I'll be down 5 lbs from the end of February by April 1st, just proabably not 8 lbs. It is extremely difficult for me, apparently, to lose more than 5.5 lbs a month. My body is just like, "Uh-uhn, I don't think so, Bitch--eat up!!" Uh, plus I like to party. Yes, actually, if I didn't I would be able to lose 8 lbs in a month. I can be grateful, though, that I can still have a blast and lose 5 lbs a month on account of my addiction to exercise and good food, and proabably a decent metabolism. I have youth (and muscles) to thank for that ;)

Anyway, I hope you reach your goal soon, and thanks for everything!

Maintenance at 157 is around 2350, which takes into account some exercise. This said, I def. would not go below what you are currently eating. If you reach a plateau, I would actually recommend bumping up cal intake for a bit.

In reality, I'm eating somewhere between 1800 and 2000 most days. I am calorie counting, but not too strictly because I know I won't be able to keep that up forever, and I want a nutrition plan that will last beyond reaching my target weight.

As far as exercise goes, I'm not working at the moment, so life is spent pretty much sat in front of the PC. I wouldn't get any exercise at all if I didn't make a deliberate effort.

I've lost just over 1lb in the last week, which I figure is a realistic rate of loss that I should be able to maintain, so at the moment, I think I must be getting it about right.

I will certainly be out that way sometime w/in the next year. :)

But the last thing I need is MORE partying! Note to self: stay away from you. :p

ugh, i hate low lifes as well. it's just nasty to know those people were digging around our home and stuff!

anyways, it's over with, could have been much worse, so it's time to move on! :)

i'm so glad to be back here!

my current goal is to shave time off of my 2 mile runs!

thanks for the encouragement and kind words in my diary while i was gone. you rock! :)

Love the attitude. I love people who can remain positive when things like this happen, props to you. :)

And you are welcome.
