Jessafurr's Slimdown for Mexico Trip

I was shocked that he died but I'm even more shocked of what a big deal people are making out of it in the media. I had no idea he was so important.

I'm also surprised that they ruled out suicide. I mean, he's a healthy young man, he popped some sleeping pills and died on accident? Come on.

Pull myself together

Ok I'm starting up again after my bad/sad two days. On Wed I had around 200 calories. On Thurs I had less.

Today is Friday, I'm going to start eating again- get back on track.

Here is the plan:

Breakfast: sugar free peaches & cream oatmeal.
Lunch: McDonalds Asian Chicken Salad
Dinner: Turkey burgers and veggie mix

I'll make sure I get all my water. I may sneak a protein shake in there. I'm going to go to the gym in a few minutes.

Lol, we missed rhe same days on the forum. Are you a libra too? We're like weight loss twins.

I had a few bad days too but when I hopped on the scale today I was down a pound!

Hopefully when you hop on tomorrow you'll have surprisingly lost too!

What ended up happening with you personal trainer?

PS I'm glad you're back!

Whoa. So I used the scale at the gym, the one I was origionally using, (it is the slider weight kind vs the digital one I've been using more recently at home..) And... I'm down to 151 lb!! BUT I'm going to wait until Thursday to do my origional weigh in.

Today:

I went snowboarding for 4 hours... super fun & super good exercise! Then , later I did 30 min eliptical and 30 min bike at the gym. Then I did 20 min in the sauna.

Food:

Breakfast:

lt yogurt smoothie
4 oz shrimp w/ coctail sauce (weird, I know, but I wanted protein before I went riding)

Lunch:

1 fish taco on corn tortilla (no cheese, w/salsa),
big bowl miso soup

Snack:

4 oz shrimp w/ coctail sauce

Dinner:

2 tacos, corn w/ Gr turkey, tomato, salsa, low fat cheese
1 cup sugar snap peas
1/2 cup bean dip w/ 8 low fat corn tortilla chips

Snack:

Low fat dole peaches & yogurt parfait w/ 2 tsp Fiber Sure
12 strawberry frosted mini wheats

90 oz water.

I increased the water because of the sauna & extra activity. I increased my calories a bit because of the activity also.. but I try to keep them healthy and balanced.

Fit Day Breakdown:

Calories Eaten: 1450
Fat: 45g (29%)
Carbs: 159 (38%)
Fiber: 27g
Protein: 117g (33%)

I feel really great right now. My body is tired but feels good. I fit into a belt that I couldn't before. Pants feel looser.

Lana:

I put the personal trainer on hold cause of $$. But I still want to do it.
LOL, I'm a virgo, I wasn't on for a few days cause Dax & I had a fight.. which was kind of my fault. I actually went for two days eating only about 200 calories each day... whoops. I'm back in the swing of things though and he and I are doing well!

Holy cow! Congrats on 151! And welcome back!

I'm sorry you and Dax were fighting. If you ever want to you can shoot me a message to talk.

I'm awful at snowboarding but it always looks like so much fun! You have to give me some tips because I can't for the life of me steer my board.

Keep up the great work hun! And don't beat yourself up over a few 200 calorie days.

So today it was snowing and I didn't leave the house all day!

But I did keep busy. I totally cleaned out my closet (I have sooo many clothes). I took all the clothing that is too small for me and packed them away in a storage dresser, then I put anything too big or I didn't like in a bag for Goodwill. I hung everything in my closet by color.

I also got half way through organizing my craft stuff. As a hobby I reconstruct clothing. I make cute little tanks out of T-shirts, bags, stuff like that. I told my friend, who sings in a band that tours alot, that I would make custom corset tops out of some of their t-shirts. So I want to get stuff organized because I haven't worked on it in a while. My other friends band I made a super rad top out of their band tee. I can't wait until I'm skinnier I'll send them a pic of me in it to thier myspace (they haven't seen it yet, they've been away touring with the band Ministry for several months).

Next project will be organizing my makeup... my good friend is an operations manager at a Sephora back East and she hooks me up with tons of great makeup!

Today foodwise I did well. I'm actually only at 1000 calories so I need to eat something else tonight. I did crappy with water like 20 oz so far... I'll probably have another 20 oz and a cup of tea. No exercise though I was moving around most of the day cleaning (instead of being a total Snowy Sunday Blah Couch Potato Lady)

Breakfast:
berry protein shake, frosted mini wheats w/ ff milk

Lunch:
2 oz shrimp w/ cocktail sauce. 2 oz gr turkey w/ spices

Dinner:
1 can green beans, Morningstar black bean burger on lt eng muffin w/salsa

Snack:
O'cocos light chocolate crisps

Fiber: 37 g
Protein: 69g
Fat: 18g
Carbs: 173 g

Plan for Week:

* Go to Body Sculpt class on Mon and Wed.
* Be really good with diet/exercise all week because I am having a dinner party Saturday night.
* Get at least 80 oz H20 spread out thru each day.
* Hit goal with: Fiber, Protein, Veggies.
* Go to gym every night. (1 hr cardio)
* Fit in: crunches, squats, pushups, lunges, weights on arms and leg lifts
* Have a good weigh in Thurs.
* Eat breakfast every morning.

Yeah the 151 lb is exciting -- my scale at home says 154 but since I took my first few weigh in on the one at the gym (plus its the type they have at doctors offices) I'm going to celebrate the 151!

Its good to back keeping track... me and Dax are doing well too.

Snowboarding is really fun once you master it. You need, like, a good solid week of going every day -- it starts coming together. I used to instruct when I first moved here but I didn't love teaching.
I'd rather just do it recreationally!

I'm glad you and Dax are doing well again! And those are excellent goals for the week. It's so motivating to focus on things we're going to do right when we get back on track.

I need to clear out my closet too. I can't wait to get rid of all the clothes I'm wearing now when I'm too thin for them though. Lol.

Wow. What a long day, long week.

So Dax is the general manager of a store here in town. He has an Assistant Manager and a few employees. Well, his assistant is 27, married, with three kids: a five year old boy, a three year old girl, and a one year old boy. Dax and I always have dinner parties and he'll have appreciation nights for his employees, etc... so I know Joe's (the assistant) wife fairly well. I've never really connected with her though because she's fairly abrasive but we've always had friendly conversation.

Anyway, they started having problems about six months ago and she really started acting nutty. She got arrested a few times for forging prescriptions for medications, she couldn't get thru a day without calling Dax's work nonstop, she would go in there with the kids all the time, mouth off to the employees, often Joe would have to leave work and go home because she had some type of issue. She got fired from job after job. Then she started going in and fighting with Joe in front of customers. So Dax put his foot down, told her she was not allowed in the store. He wasn't nice about it, either, mostly because he was really angry because some of his employees wouldn't come into work because they didn't feel comfortable.

So, I guess for the past few weeks she had been saying to Joe "Oh you always chose Dax's side over mine, you need to make him applogize to me.." It has been a huge issue for months at Dax's work.

Well last night she killed herself. The kids were upstairs sleeping. Joe was outside shoveling the driveway. He found her at 9pm. It took the coroner three hours to get there because of the snow.

It is so awful. Dax feels terrible. I feel so bad for everyone involved. She obviously had deep rooted problems.

Also, one of our patients at my work killed herself last week and her husband found her. So awful.

Anyway.

Food:

Breakfast: LT yogurt smoothie, coffee
Lunch: 8 oz shrimp w/ cocktail sauce, rice & beans
Snack: Special K bar
Dinner: salmon ceviche, corn chips, fiber one bar

Exercise: Body Sculpt class

Water: 80 oz

Omg Jessa! That's so traumatic! Are you and Dax feeling ok about everything? Maybe it's the lack of sunshine lately, you know sun deficiency disorder or whatever that's called?

As for Dax's birthday I say you go with an Xbox360 gift card so he can buy some more Rockband games! Lol. If not, maybe tickets to his favorite punk band's concert (aside from his own band of course) or a season of lift tickets (assuming he snowboards with you)... umm... I'm just going off what you've said he's into. Is there something else he's really into?

Dax is having a hard time with it because he is the boss plus he had so recently been having disagreements with her.

Today was a little hard-- it started out ok bu I had a big dinner and wanted to snack alot...

Hey Jessa! I'm sorry about your friend. I'm sure it is a hard time for you. I'm sending you a lot of hugs across the ocean.

I hope that Dax is feeling better about everything. He should know that having problems with her was probably inevitable if she was in a place in her mind where she was willing to commit suicide. That kind of mental instability often causes conflicts in their personal lives that no matter how hard the other party tries cannot be resolved.

Hope you're doing ok.

Hi guys! I'm fine. Diet-wise, good too. I am officially down to 151 lb. I've been sticking to my calories goal. Still slacking a bit at water intake. Doing well @ exercise. I'll write more tonight!

So yesterday I dug out the porch/grill after work. It took 2 1/2 hrs. So now I can do kabobs for my dinner party Sat. (TOO bad its snowing again now!)

Today I slacked on exercise and water.

Food:

Breakfast: Special K bar, peaches & cream sugar free oatmeal, coffee
Lunch: 4oz shrimp. 2 tbs cocktail sauce, V8
Snack: 2 prunes, lt cheese spread (laughing cow) & melba toast, fiber one bar
Dinner: 8 0z broiled Ahi, 2 tbs homemade LT tarter sauce, 1 tsp sesame oil, 1 tsp soy sauce, fiber-sure
Snack: 2 c Smart puffs, 3 prunes

1042 calories so far (I need to have 150 more)
Protein: 94 g
Fiber: 28 g
Veggie servings:3 (barely!)
Water: 50 oz but still drinkin!!

Exercise: Shoveled for about 10 min. I may get up in a min and shovel more (Its snowing on all my hard work from yesterday).

Tommorrow night I need to clean the house. I'll burn some calories doing that! I need to meet my 80 oz goal of water, get at least 45 min of exercise and have 5 servings veggies/fruit.

Snow shoveling is great exercise! And cleaning the house is even better...You burn calories and you get the satisfatction of having a clean house :)

I hope your party goes well! Have a lot of fun!

A big big hug to the sweetest of girls!
