Jessafurr's Slimdown for Mexico Trip

You know, I've never said this before, but I'm jealous that you have snow to shovel. For a lot of people in CA it's hard to get your exercise in during the summer because it's too cold to go out run or kayak or hike or play tennis and thought snow shoveling doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun, having a required workout in the winter as a function of transportation isn't too bad in my mind. Lol.

Your employees are going to love you for doing kebabs in the winter. I would adore some BBQ right now.

Awesome job on food yesterday! You're a superstar!

Ladies... I'm back. I spent two weeks eating bad and not excersizing AT ALL!!! I am determined to get back in the ring though!!! Tomorrow I'm going to whip my butt back into shape!!!

I missed you guys!!!

Plan for tommorrow:

Clean the house.

Do my new work out cd (Carmen Electra's Stripaerobics-- I heard its fun)

Drink 80 oz water.

Balance my checkbook.

Eat well!! (calories, protein, etc)

Clean my car.

Run by work to make new testing forms for Tuesday.

Pamper myself a little (bath, do nails etc..)

Basicly everything to start a great work week and diet week.

Thanks Angel!

Things have been good so far. I spent the day running errands and cleaning. I've been wearing the ankle weights all day. lol. I'm going to go to my body sculpt class at 5:30 and, if I have enough energy after the class, I want to use the eliptical at the gym.

Breakfast: All Bran Cereal (1/2 cup) w/ 1 c almond milk (40 cal, 3 g fat) 20 blueberries, 1 tsp splenda

Lunch: One slice wheat bread, toasted w/ one can tuna, 1 tsp lt mayo, chopped onion and 3 slices tomato

Snack: 2 prunes, fiber one, oats & chocolate, bar

So far 64 oz h2o.

I'll touch base again tonight.

the rest of the day went well.

For dinner I had a can of green beans, 2 cups of tomato soup. and a light smoothie.

I went to class... it was hard but good.

I met my water goal... 80 oz.

Its good to be back on track!!

So today went ok... pretty stressful at work -- didn't even get to break for lunch because we were so slammed. (ate in bursts standing)

Lunch: 1.5 c chevy's tortilla soup, 1/3 chevy's chiken salad w/ ff dressing
Snack: 1 prune, 4 tortilla chips, 3 cups coffee (w/splenda/lt creamer), sugar free red bull, 1 donut (agh!)
Dinner: 8 oz shrimp w/ 2 tbs cocktail sauce.
Water: around 80 oz

Calories Eaten Today

Total calories: 1709 (@#$%#%!!!!!)
Fat: 44%
Carbs: 28%
Fiber: 30g
Protein: 116g = 28%

Got around three servings of vegetables... I'd prefer to be around 5...

Tommorrow I'll do better.

I'm going to try to haul my butt off the couch here and do some sort of exercise......

So I did 35 min of push ups, sit ups, leg lifts etc.. general exerercises w/ 5 lb weights. Plus I had another 20 oz h20.

Lunch: 1.5 c chicken rice soup. a few bites pea soup

Snack: 10 tortilla chips, 2 tbs salsa

Now America's Next Top Model premire... wahoo... love it!!

How do you like the fiber challenge? I was thinking about doing that one in lieu of the low carb but I don't know. How are things with Dax?

Thanks Angel!

Lana, I like the fiber challenge so far. I've been adding blueberries and splenda to my all bran so its pretty yummy. Dax and I are good, things are mellow.

Today:

Breakfast:
AllBran, w/ blueberries & almond milk
1 cup coffee w/ ff creamer

Lunch:
1 fish taco w/ salsa, cabbage, a little cheese
1 cup tomato soup

Snacks:
1.5 cups fresh pineapple
1 fiber one bar
4 prunes
sugar free red bull

Dinner:
Fajita Baked potato
one potato, baked and hollowed out a bit. Fill with: onions, red and green peppers and chicken, cooked fajita-style, with fajita seasoning and cooking spray. Top with: light cheese, salsa, dollup of ff sour cream, black olives and nacho-style pickled hot peppers.

The baked potatos are soo yummy, filling and not too harsh on calories or fat. Also you get your veggies and protein in. Not great on carbs or fiber, though. Dax looooves them!

Dax is buying me a new laptop with his quartery bonus .. I'm excited picking one out!

Work was long again today... plus I have to work all day tommorrow then drive down to Sacramento because I have a conference first thing Saturday morning. Bla!!! There'll be no time for exercise AND conferences are notorious for an abunance of junky food.

Its been stressful at work because on top of getting my unmanagable workload done (I do the work of THREE previous employees) I also need to keep the morale up for my employees when they are stressed and under pressure from our boss.

My boss really doesn't understand what needs to get done to bring in $$ and keep everything running correctly. Of course weekly I have a sitdown with him and stress how understaffed and over worked we are but it never sinks in. He makes up for it often by buying lunch, buying dinner, taking us to concerts (we saw stevie wonder in august.. it was cool), and giving other little bonuses. He is generous BUT it doesn't always makeup for the stress.

Hi Jessa! SO glad to have you back!

Conferences are diet-killers, I hate them! You get so bored you can't help but give in to the junky food calling you from the tables...

I'm sorry work is so stressing. Sometimes bosses just don't understand how hard it can be to do the job of missing employes as well as our own. I hope things will slow down a bit.

Hugs!
