OK I had computer problems,...I was back and then gone,..but computer problems...come monday its a go full steam ahead!!!!!! The big 40 is just around the corner....I have dress now I just have to be able to wear it.
 
Jennifer. Your daycare is beautiful! Your famillies are so lucky to have you! A first-rate teacher and a lovely space, too!
Makes me want to work with little kids again! I can't find a teaching job- not even subbing. :( (So hard when you move right at the beginning of the school year!
I can't do regulare childcare in my home (lack of beautiful space such as the picture!), but I've thought about doing hourly childcare. I would be "targeting" stay at home moms with no "sitter" during the day. I would take their kiddos while they had a doctor's appointment or a lunch date, or a hair appointment. Whatcha think?
 
Yes I am proud of my Apple Tree Daycare,..that is just one side of it, but I wanted to show you the tree..its in an "L" shape,..plus a nap room and another activity room,...and the patio doors walk out into the lower half of my yard.

I have 7 kids each day...but now my daughter is in grade one and another boy is in kindergarten,...I have space for some part timers or "drop in".

Scrappy you should check out the licensing where you are at. Where I am at home day care does have to be in a separate space in the home. It can be in you own living space thus the "family daycare title". Here they are more concerned about your suitability as a caregiver and the health and safety of the home, than the frilly dilly stuff. However, drop in care is a great way to start, or taking in a neighbourhood kid,..people always need good reliable childcare.

Here the going rate is $35.00 a day per child for a full day of drop in care. meals, crafts etc provided by the caregiver.

Anyway,..tomorrow is Monday. I need to pull this all together again. I am trying but its sporadic and that does not owrk for me. I gain weight looking at food. I have just learned the thyroid is way off once again,..so I have been very tired and run down....another release for lack of motivation.

I think I will read through my journal....find my groove...and get in that gym at least three times a week. I know this is a life long battle for me, I have not been defeated.

Its amazing though how much this site kept me focused. Lets pray the computer remains in tact.

Jennifer Apple Tree looks like the place to be! You guys really did a great job on the basement! I remember when you had just finished it. Glad you finally got some pics up !Crossin my fingers so your pc stays healthy as you!
Get in that gym, keep up the good work!
I bet having 7 kids running all around you keeps you busy and away from food for the most part.
You really got things together Jen!
 
Nap time,..and they are all alseep...whew

So its Moday and I weighed in at 206,...I did get as high as 215 again. See how easy it is for me to pack it on. However add in the monthly cycle , which can add 5 lbs for me. I guess I had a good summer,..yum yum. Anyhoo I was fearing 218,..glad to see some effort the past week/s even though I wasnt on here has showed up. I feel pumped. even though I kinda screwed up this time last year I weighed 280 (started diet in nov) so I really cant complain.

I know you are not supposed to do it but I really have to get on the scale to make myself accountable each day. For somebody that gains so easy, its a good guideline.

Yes running after the kids helps with the weight loss but it also is a slight hardhship when you are cookng many grill cheese sandwhiches,...etc Lunch time I have to be careful,..as I did pop two smiley face fries in my mouth they are actually good. So now I will go eat my garden salad and no fat cottage cheese and forget about the sins and concentrate on the good stuff.

Off to the gym tonight. NOt going to do a killer work out like I was doing, 45 minutes max three times a week and going to see how that goes, dont need to burn myself out.

So glad to you have all around me again...I feel your energy. :D

I feel ya on gaining easily...If i could only lose half as fast as i put it on! its tough when youve got kids to cook for and you have to sit w/ a salad or avoid something that looks way yummier..but i guess if you have a little bite and then have your salad..and hit the gym you should be fine! Yes!
 
your doing great jennifer!! good job!! I can look at food and gain weight anymore. I never used to be like that, so getting used to thinking differently is real hard!
 
Food intake was good,...

Breakfast: bran flakes skim milk coffee
snack: water melon
lunch slim fast, apple
snack: wasa cracker
dinner chicken pot pi (home made) with out the top or the bootom..ok one or two bites and big salad

lots of water and come chai tea twice in the day

no gym today only goig three times a week, but out with kids while riding bikes funning after them etc.

My neighbour said Gee you have lost alot of weight this past yer huh....so that felt good that I havent totally messed up.
