Ugh, I got tied up on the phone at work and I didn't get to eat until almost five and then I got tied up again and I didn't get to drink a Slim Fast for dinner, so that's all I've had so far. That's only 560 calories and it's 9 at night! So bad. I'll have to eat when I get home and it's so late. Blah.

dont' worry about it - it's just one day, and life sometimes just throws things at us =) It looks like you are doing really good with your meal planning =) way to go!

Thanks amomono. I'm not beating myself up over it-it wasn't even my fault! An event in the mountain area (Oprah's Live your Life tour or something like that) was suddenly taken offsale and we had to spend an hour consolong angry middle aged women about it, so I missed dinner, but I ate when I got home and I didn't feel sick or anything.

Dinner Last Night:
Veggie Salami Sandwich, with 2 slices honey wheat bread, 3 slices Veggie salami, and 3 slices tomato (200)
Cup of watermelon (100)
10 Sour Cream and Onion Rice Cakes (70)
Slim fast snack bar (120)

Dessert:
WW Cookie Ice Cream Bar (120)

So I got on the scale this morning-210! That means I've lost 30 pounds!!! Hallejulah!!! It's so exciting. And I'm lucky, because I'm a big girl who doesn't look as heavy as she really is-most people would guess I was 170 or 180. I have curves in the right places, which I've always been thankful for. But anyway, because of that I'm starting to look pretty good if I do say so myself. Yesterday a girl at work told me she was jealous because I was getting so "skinny." Ha! Skinny is definitely not the word to describe, but it was still cool. And I owe it all to you guys!

Breakfast:
Slim Fast Chocolate Royale (180)

Wha-hoo! Thanks guys!!!

Well, I got free tickets from my job to see Morgan Fairchild in The Graduate at the performing arts center downtown. So I went to work on my lunch break from school to go get them, then I didn't have much time for lunch.

Lunch:
Veggie Salami Sandwich, which was just two slices honey wheat bread and 3 slices veggie salami (200)

Then we had to rush to get ready for the show, so my dinner was:
Lean Cuisine Lasagna (330)
Salad with tomato, cucumber, and carrots, with Lite sweet vidalia dressing (150)

The show wasn't very good. Morgan Fairchild playing Mrs. Robinson was the only good part about it. Oh well, it was free.

Thanks everybody!

Snack Last Night:
Light Popcorn (100)
2 graham crackers, with 4 tablespoons of frozen Cool Whip (150)

Breakfast this Morning:
1 Scrambled Egg (90)
2 Slices Veggie Bacon (60)
1/2 Cup Orange Juice (25)

Yes!!! Thanks Scrappy!

Lunch:
Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich--(I'm completely broke and running low on food, can you tell. :))
11 Baked Lays

Dinner:
Publix Veggie Sub on wheat with provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, pickles, black olives, onions, honey mustard, and oil and vinegar.

I had packed a Veggie salami sandwich for lunch, which was just 4 slices veggie salami and 2 slices honey wheat bread from home, but I felt like I needed actual vegetables. Since payday isn't until Friday and I'm almost completely broke I've been skimping on my fruits and veggies this week. I can't wait to get paid and to go shopping. I'm pretty much out of everything. The publix sub was $3.50 (and I have like, $15 to my name), but it gave me several servings of veggies, whole wheat, and dairy. Healthy eating is so expensive! I know you all know what I'm talking about. It's frustrating, but worth it at the same time. I'm full time at work now, so my money situation should get a little better now. Hopefully.

You know that is a big issue with me is the price of healthy food. I mean how much is a bag of apples? $3.00, but you can get a box of little debbies for $1. Not that $2 difference is a big deal, but it adds up!

It definitely does. Someday, after I've reached my goal weight, I'm going to write a very big book about dieting, and there will be a big section on the cost of healthy living compared to unhealthy living, and the amount of money spent on advertising fast food and unhealthy snacks compared to the amount of money spent on advertising healthy foods, ect. If anyone has any other suggestions for my book, please let me know and I will thank you in my acknowledgments. Seriously.

You can write about how joining a group, in this case a forum, helps some people stay on track better. I know it helps me. :)

Fuunkymonk,
Before you write the book you HAVE to see the movie, "Supersize Me!" The premise is the man goes on a McDonald's diet to see if eating the food will kill ya. But there is so much more than just greasy ingredients... He discusses advertising and how Dole (fruit and veggie company) spends the same amount on advertising as Hershey's does on ONE of their candy bars. Watching the movie really did change a lot of my viewpoints.
It will change you and your food!!
And, I'm with Christina, joining this forum has been a crucial ingredient in my weight loss.

Yes, I will definitely have a section about online forums, because I really believe this is the key. And Scrappy, I've seen "Supersize Me" and it was really good. I sure was glad I don't eat meat when I was watching it! :)

Cheerios with skim milk (150)

Lunch:
Veggie Burger with a bit of ketchup (120)
Apple (80)
Slim fast snack bar (120)

1 slice cheese pizza (250)
Salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, and fork dips of the house italian (150)

Dessert:
WW Chocolate Mousse dessert (180)

Sooooooo, I haven't been to the gym all week and I feel crappy about it. I just haven't had time-I should have gone Wednesday morning before work, but I slept in instead. There's only two and a half weeks of school left, so I'll have a lot more time once the semester is over. I was just doing so good with my exercise and I've been slacking. I also went grocery shopping and I got a lot of snack-y type foods, which I shouldn't do. It's all diet stuff-I got 100 calorie Oreo packs, WW desserts, mini rice cakes, fat free pudding. But, when I first started my diet I did so good with making all of my meals and having lots of fruits and veggies and no snacky foods, but I've started to resort to the less time consuming convience foods because of my busy schedule. When the semester's over I plan on cooking a lot more and cutting back on the convient stuff. I'm still sticking to 1,200-1,300 cals a day. Next week I should have time to go to the gym.

Work today-I'm on at 12, but they called me at 8:30 AM to try to get me to come in early-and I didn't answer my phone! I'm really glad, because me and this one other girl (whom I recommended for the job) are the only ones who ever come in when we're called, and we're the only ones who never call out unless we have a serious emergency. I'm just tired, working five days a week now and trying to finish out the semester. Since I haven't been working out I haven't been sleeping as well, so I was up late last night and there's no way I could go in so early this morning. I'm glad I slept in, even though I normally feel really bad. Anyway, off to work now. Since I went shopping yesterday I have lots of healthy good food to eat for the day. :)
