Jaclyn's diary

Ok well I've been spending some time catching up on your diary. I haven't been around in a long time...sorry about that! You are doing sooooo awesome! Way to go! I don't know how you manage to stick with it but you're such an inspiration! I wish I had the motivation and determination that you do!

Fuunky you deserved the sleep in. If we don’t get enough rest we start to loose our resolve and that’s just not good. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Thanks Amanda and Rosered! Everyone here is so great.

So I had a weird day eating wise. Nothing bad, just late and off schedule. Can't wait until school is over!

Lunch:
Slim Fast Optima (180)
Apple (80)

Dinner:
Lean Cuisine Penna Pasta (270)
Low Fat Jello pudding (110)

Snack?:
Veggie Burger patty (120)
5 Cheddar Mini Rice Cakes (35)

Dessert:
WW Peanut Butter Sundae (210)

So...I'm still having issues with this snacking/frozen food/convience food thing. Like today for instance-I started off good with breakfast, but then I skimped on lunch and snacks, and wolfed down my dinner at my desk between phone calls, and then by the time I got home I was famished from not keeping my blood sugar steady with fruits, vegetables, and yogurt snacks like I've gotten used to, so I had to have a sort of second dinner. I know if I woke up earlier for breakfast and then had had a sandwich and a piece of fruit for lunch, then a vegetable tofu something for dinner, with a yogurt and maybe another peice of fruit in between I would have felt better all day. But then again I was at work-on my lunch hour I walked around the mall with a girl from work, then drank the Slim fast when we got back to the office, and then i had to eat my Lean Cuisine at my desk, and then when I got home I was so hungry. I'm still at my calorie limit. I just liked when I was cooking for myself and making wholesome fresh foods. I also need to EXERCISE!

You are doing so well, Fuunky! You only have two weeks of school left. If eating a few frozen dinners and grabbing some pre-packaged, but still healthier-than-average snacks, is what it will take to get through the next few weeks, then that is what it will take! You can only do what you can do! And you, my friend, are doing LOTS!
What will you be doing for the summer?

Thanks Scrappy. I know it's not the end of the world. I can't wait until the semester is over and I have more time!!! For most of the summer I'll just be working and then on my days off I'll go to the pool to read, clean my house, ect. Nothing big. I plan on taking one class online for the first six weeks (hopefully I'll be able to get it) and in late June I'm going on vacation with my best friend and her family for a week to Fort Myers Beach. We do that every year. I'll also go down to Fort Lauderdale to visit my friends and family once or twice. That's about it. I'm looking forward to it. I love lazy summer days.

Today, work as usual. Then tonight I have to write my Thomas More paper.

Breakfast:
Egg Beaters (70)
1 Slice Veggie Bacon (30) *I burned my other piece...
Orange Juice (50)

Snack:
Pumpernickel sticks (120)
Light fat free blackberry yogurt (100)

Lunch:
Veggie salami and provolone sandwich (290)
Apple (80)

Snack:
100 Calorie Oreo pack (100...duh)

Now I'm going to have dinner with a friend. I've been writing my Thomas More paper for two hours and I need a dinner break. The good news is I gave myself a manicure and a pedicure and that felt pretty good. My feet and hands were looking kind of ragged. It felt nice to take the time to take care of something so easily overlooked.

I dyed my hair and I like it. It's been awhile since I did any color. I chose "Amber Shimmer" and it's like a very light golden brown, but I'm a dark golden blonde, so it's a very subtle difference, just enough to make a pop! I also got some more Neutrogena makeup. I really like it, I got the Healthy Blends bronzer, blush, loose powder, and this moisturizing tint that has SPF, color, and rentinol in it. It was time to replace some of my old makeup (I still had a blush compact that I used in HIGH SCHOOL!) and my skin needs some evening out. I'm getting old looking. Too much time in the sun, which I still can't give up. I love the beach and the pool-I wear sunscreen, but I always get really really tan in the summer and it's starting to show on my face-I have sun spots and fine lines, which I'm sure only I can see now since I'm only 21, but I figure in another 5-10 years I'll be looking pretty bedraggled. Although my healthy lifestyle should keep me looking halfway decent.

Nothing like new hair and makeup to get us "going" again! Some days I look in the mirror and I can only focus on my wrinkles and imperfections. Then, other times it occurs to me that I have a pretty face. Go figure! Can't win- not even in my own mind!
You go, Girl!

Hehehe, thanks guys!

I was so busy yesterday that I never even got a chance to post the rest of my food, but I did pretty good. I worked from 9 AM-6 PM and then I went to the library for a video for sign language then I went home and worked on my paper, then I had to shower, then watch the video and do the workbook pages out of there, and then I had to start reading for Renaissance. Ugh. But I'm getting everythiung done, one by one.

I went to the gym and did 35 minutes on the elliptical. I feel so bad, I've been so busy I haven't even been able to look at anyone else's journal and leave comments. I will soon though, 2 more weeks of school!

don't worry about it =) i honestly wouldn't have found the time to do it, if this wasn't also a form of procrastination!!! you all may be seeing less and less of me as the semester progresses =)

Haha, yes, I do use it as a form of procrastination, that's for sure!!! But unfortunately I've been so busy from procrastinating that I haven't had any time. When is your semester over. I only have one more week of regular classes and then I have all of my finals on the 28th and then I'm done!!! Wha-hoo!

Well, I woke up and just ran to school and did my ASL video, so I didn't eat breakfast...:( So not like me, I've eaten breakfast every single day since I started this diet. Didn't happen today though. And I could feel it, five minutes after I left my house I started to feel dizzy and hungry and I was sorry I didn't just grab a slim fast or something. That won't happen again. Of course I was famished when I got home.

Lunch:
Whole Wheat Pita with 3 slices Veggie Salami and 1 slice Provolone Cheese and a bit of honey mustard (320)
9 Cheddar Cheese Mini Rice Cakes (90)
Stawberries (40)

Snack:
100 Cal Pack Oreos (100)

I need to go buy lots of fruits and veggies ASAP!

My class work is done on the 26th, but my finals aren't until the first week in may. I cannot wait to be done for the year!!! I'm moving back home to Iowa for the summer the very next day - so i'm really stressed about how i'm going to find time to pack and get all of my stuff in order.

I ALSO need to buy some fresh things! I realized tonight how empty my fridge is. i have been using alot of canned goods and pasta in the past few days... I really need to go grocery shopping.

Oh man, finals and moving. I can't imagine. Well, I can because I've done that-three times before. So I feel for you.

I've been having a lot of convient foods lately-keeping it all low cal, but I was the nutrients from the fruits and vegetables that I was getting before. I just keep thinking one more week, one more week. Then I panic because I still have a buttload of stuff to do and only one week left!

Snack:
Light Fat Free Blueberry Yogurt (100)

Dinner:
Lean Cuisine Margherita Pizza (320)
Low Fat Jello Pudding Cup (110)
