Jaclyn's diary

Wow what a rip off. It’s so expensive to eat healthy that’s why I always have a steak sandwich when I go out, it’s the cheapest healthy alternative most of the time.

Ugh, so I went to get Italian with some friends and I wanted to get the kid's portion of ravioli for portion control, but they wouldn't let me get that, so I just ordered a slice of pizza. I was disappointed. And very hungry-it wasn't enough for dinner, especially since I had a light lunch. It's so silly that they wouldn't let me have the kid's portion, because I would have been paying more for that then I did for the one slice of pizza. Anyway, here's the rest of today's food-

Snack:
1 String Cheese (100)

Dinner:
1 Slice Cheese Pizza, grease blotted off (200)

Snack:
Apple with 2 tbsp Peanut Butter (300)

Dessert:
WW Cookie Ice Cream Bar (120)

Ugh! I got horrible heartburn again last night! I don't understand-this never ever happened to me before I was on a diet. Now this is the second time I've had it. It happens when I'm sleeping and it wakes me up. It's terrible. This time I just tried to stay really calm and I stayed in one position so that it wouldn't keep hurting but it did. It kept me up half the night and then when my alarm went off I guess I was so tired I didn't hear it, because I slept until 7:45 and that's when I usually leave for work. Since it's Saturday it was okay because there's no traffic. I stopped at the drugstore and got some Rolaids for the next time this happens. I had a few this morning, but my stomach is still really upset. I'm going to try to drink a Slim Fast for breakfast, but my stomach hurts so bad. I have to try to figure out what's causing this...

Breakfast:
Slim Fast Optima Chocolate Royal Shake (180)
3 Rolaids...

Ugh, I tried to have a peach as a snack, but most of it was brown. I cut off all of the brown, and I had maybe a 1/4 of the peach.

Snack:
1/4 nasty peach (10)

Too bad about the heartburn. And if it isn't bad enough that your stomach kills ya, does it have to wreck havoc with your sleep, too? :( Did the rolaids help?
With one of my pregnancies I got awful heartburn. It was so bad and I never could figure out what would bring it on. Heck, I could get it after drinking water!
Hopefully, you figure it out and it goes away.

yikes...
I hope ur heartburn gets better :(
I've been feeling really stuffed and bloated too. Lots of cramps as well :( I think it could be partially because of the artificial sweetener I use sometimes. I don't think you use those though...
But thanx for the encouragement in my diary :)

I hear a lot of pregnant women have really bad heartburn. I don't know why I've gotten it these past two times, but the rolaids helped after awhile. It's just so weird and I feel so tired today now. I'm going to go to the store to get a new bathroom rug and I need to go by the library to get some books for a research paper I have to do. I'm debating on going to the gym. I just don't feel like it today, but we'll see.

Man, so I've been slacking with my workouts. I went to the gym today, but they were closed for Easter! If I had known that I would have forced myself to have gone yesterday. Now I feel stupid. I also feel incredibly lazy. I just want to lay around and watch tv, but I do have a lot of homework I need to do. Ugh, I can't wait for this semester to be OVER!

Keep up the good work!!! I know school can be frustrating. Some alternatives I take when I cant make it to the gym are walking (only if your safe doing that) also a pilates ball (my best friend) you can do sit ups and squats and my all time favorite alternative to the gym is dance revolution that really gets your heart pumping. :)

Thanks for being so supportive and Happy Easter!!(or anything you celebrate)

I did want to go to the pool today, but it was overcast. Truth be told, when I found out I couldn't go to the gym I decided it was just another lazy day, and it looks like today is as well. I had planned on going to the gym, but my job just told me I have to come in at 1 instead of 3, and I have to go to school to do a sign language project and then I have a guy I met through a friend coming over to see my apartment, because he's moving here next month and he and his friend are trying to decide where they want to live, and my complex is one on their list. And he's kinda cute, so I want to see him again. Nevertheless, having to go at 1 instead of 3 is really puttin a damper on my plans. I did start the day right with a good breakfast though-

Breakfast:
1 Cup Team Cheerios with skim milk and a sliced banana (260)
Cup of Orange Juice (50)

Ugh, thanks Jenn. Cute Guy didn't end up coming over because he didn't want to inconvience me. I told him they could come at 12, but I'd have to leave at 12:30 and he was like "oh, I don't want to be a bother to you, I'll just call you when I move to town and we'll keep in touch," and I couldn't really argue. Leave it to my job to ruin my plans! Hopefully he'll really call, and if he doesn't I'll call him when I'm sure he's all moved up here. We'll see.

2 Slices Veggie Bacon (60)

So far my day has been pretty good, food and exercise wise. I have some homework to do-I can't wait for this semester to be OVER!

Dessert:
Cup of Green Grapes (100)
WW Peanut Butter Sundae Pie (210)

Wow, that Weight Watchers Peanut Butter Pie is AWESOME! So good...kind of higher in calories than I'd like. I didn't realize that when I bought it, but damn was it delicious. Ugh, work meeting tomorrow at 8 AM. And I have to read the first two acts of Othello. Blah.

Hey, Fuunkymonk. I haven't visited your diary in a few days. When I saw Jennifer's comment about the cute guy I got all excited for you... too bad, but maybe he'll be visiting soon. :)
You're doing well- as usual! (Go, Fuunky! Go, Fuunky!)
I might have to try the peanut butter sundae. I have liked the WW stuff that I've tried, but the last time I went to buy some (the oreo coated ice cream bars looked so good) I was turned off by the price ($1 a bar). I don't want to sound cheap, but when you are buying for a family of 5 that is pricey for a treat! Maybe I'll feel more like treating myself the next time I see them.
