Yeah they are Jenna, even heavier than the weight I'm carrying around hehe. Dinner was a grilled chicken sandwhich from McDonalds and some bing cherries :) I feel good that I didn't completely destroy myself after that little Blizzard treat. because of that my cals are still in range today so YAY ME!! lol
 
Good morning ya'll! I had another one of those Nature Valley Oats N' Honey granola bars for breakfast, and a cup of coffee with splenda. Again I know it's not a great breakfast choice, but I wanted to keep it kinda light because I'm going to a baseball game this afternoon (Seattle Mariners) and well, we all know ballpark food is not the healthiest LOL. I plan on either getting sushi or some thai food (chickrn, veggies, rice, that sort of thing) so I don't completely go overboard on the calories. I'll report back on how I did when I get back...I am feeling rather hopeful this morning. I know that I can and WILL get this access weight off, as long as I keep making healthy food choices and exercising as much as possible, I know I can do this. I would really like to get the majority of it off before school starts, but I only have until September....so that might be an unrealistic goal for myself, but we will soon see as school approaches...I'm going to weigh in tomorrow cause I want to see where I'm at again, of course I know I probably would not have lost anything from Friday to Sunday, I just want to make sure I havn't gained anything AGAIN lol. Well I just got back from the Mariners game...Unfortunitly they lost to the Detroit Tigers 12 to 4....the Mariners just did not play a good gamr today at all, they had alot of errors on there defense and there offense was not great either...and the worst part is my favorite player Ichiro Suzuki got injured!! He was up to bat and the pitcher hit him in the knee on a 90 mile in hour fast ball! Talk about OUCH!!! So yeah he got taken out of the game in the 5th inning...totally sucked...But I hope he's OK! On a food note...instead of my normal thair food or sushi I ended up getting this BIG chicken salad with what looked like marinated chicken, with jalapeno's, tomatos, onions, salsa, and guacomole. It was SO GOOD! Of course I was really hungry because all I had for "breakfast" was that Oat's N Honey bar, so I ended up eating most of the salad, it also came with a shell to, and I only ate a few bites off of that. Then for dinner we went to the Spagetti Factory. That place is COOL!! I had a piece of cheese bread, a piece of sourdough bread, a salad with bleu cheese dressing on the side (only added about 2 tablespoons of dressing) and a had spagetti with marinara sauce (it was abig plate so I only ate half of it and brought the other half home. All in all, it was a great day and a great food day to :)

Good morning everyone! Well todays the day of our family vacation!! I'm really really exited!! As for food, for breakfast I am having another Nature Valley Pat's N' Honey bar and a cup of coffee with splenda. The reason why I am keeping breakfast light again is because on our way to the hotel, we always stop at this restaurant called Duffy's, it's a restaraunt where they serve "diner" type food, it's really yummy! And I want to be able to get something that I really like without going completely overboard on the calories. Oh and I weighed myself this morning and I am now 158 pounds! (was 159 the last time I weighed) which was on Friday I believe...so I lost a pound in 3 days! Not bad I should say! Have a good day everyone!
 
Hey everyone! Well I'm at the hotel right now and I'm having a great time!! I was going to go take a late night swim tonight but I'm just so tired right now! Lol anyways foodwise we stopped at our usual restaurant Duffy's, and I had a salad with ranch dressing on the side (this time I used all the dressing they gave me because it was SO GOOD and I was really hungry so I had a weak moment (note to self, eat a DECENT breakfast mo matter what!) and I had a patty melt on rye bread with swiss cheese, a little bit of ketchup, a little big of mustard, and charmalized onions. I also had some potato salad but I only ate half of what they gave me, I LOVE good potato salad, not to sweet and not to salty, but just right! and thats all I ate...We also stopped by the ice cream shop to stock up on ice cream (my family ALWAYS has to get ice cream when we go to the beach) and I'm thinking about having a little bit tonight, I never eat more then 1/2 of icecream anymore so it wouldn't pack on the calories. Well thats it for now, I will definitly post on my day tomorrow! Goodnight everyone!
 
Ok so I had my ice cream....OH MY GOSH it was SO GOOD! Chocolate chip cookie dough is my all time favorite! On the negative side, now that I think about it, I had a little bit more than what I would have liked, I didn't have my measuring cup with me so I had to "eye ball" as Rachel Ray would say) and I know I took a little bit more than a half cup, partly because I WANTED to take more than that lol. But still I don't think the calories were that bad, unless this ice cream has as much milk fat as Haagen Das, it really tasted like it LOL. Oh man, I just realized what an unhealthy food day I've had today, no fruits, no veggies, no lean meats, not very many whole grains...man it sure it hard when your eating in a restaurant lol. But still, I'm not gonna let it bother me that much, I'll just work on making healther food choices on the remainder of this trip, I just hope I can control myself hehe.

You're not doing horrible with your food... and you're realizing what your not doing... which is a great thing... If you realize it you can fix it:)

He everyone! My vacation is going awesome Jenna! Thanks so much for asking! As for food today, I did much much better than yesterday. For breakfast I had a small bowl of honey nut cheerios with blueberries and vanilla soymilk (can't stand the original cheerios, there so bland!) (I believe it's 150 cals)and 1 cup of coffee with sweet N'Low. (0 cals)For lunch I had a turkey and ham sandwhich on wheat berrie bread ( it's the foster farms meat, 1 slice of turkey, 1 slice of ham) and it had mustard, a little bit of horseradish (I LOVE the spicy kind!!) onion, lettuce, and tomato on it, and I had some bing cherries. Not sure of the cals altogether but I think it's between 350-400 cals). And for dinner my dad got Duugen's pizza (SO GOOD!) I had one slice of hawaiin, and 1 slice of pepporoni. And I also had a small salad with carrotts, onion, chopped jalapenos, and my dads homeade thousand island dressing (it's made with mayo, ketchup, pickle relish and garlic so I used it sparangly since it's definitly on the "high cal" side, it's so good though! I believe that was between 700-800 cals. So overall not a bad day for eating! As for physical activity, I got quite a bit today! In the morning my dad and I took a nice walk at the beach looking for seashells and sanddollars. We didn't find any shells but we found quite a bit of sanddollars! So it wasn't intense exercise but at least it's better then sitting lol. And later on my dad, brother, and I went to the beach again in the afternoon, and I walked around quite a bit, and I even did a small jog. I don't think I was gone for than 15-20 minutes but again it's better than nothing. Then after my jog I went back to our blanket and sun bathed the rest of the time LOL. Then after that we went back to our hotel and my dad and I went swimming. Again I didn't swim intensely for very long, I think I did like 20-25 mins, as I was doing the breaststroke water kept going into my mouth and nose and was aggrivating the heck out of me, so I stopped because I was frustrated lol. Tomorrow I'm gonna try to work on my technique a little more so I won't have that problem anymore. And thats about it for physical activity. Tomorrow I plan on going to the cardio room and swimming. I hope everyone's having a great night!
 
Thanks Jenna! It's kinda hard to find the motivation to eat right and exercise on vacation since all you want to do all day is laze around and eat everything tasty thing in sight, but at least I'm doin it and I feel very proud of myself for that :) Foodwise today, I had a small bowl of honey nut cheerios with vanilla soymilk and blueberries, and one cup of coffee with splenda. For lunch I had a PB&J sandwhich on honey wheat berry bread, and some grapes, and of course water to drink (all I drink is water all day). For lunch wre having mom's homeade spagetti (with white noodles because they didn't have the healthy harvest noodles at the store) and I'm gonna have 1 piece of garlic bread, and a small salad on the side with light hidden valley ranch dressing. As for activity, rather than go to the beach with dad this morning. I stayed at the hotel to go into the cardio room. I exercised on this machine I never exercised on before (it's similar to the stair climber but different) and I worked out for a half hour on that. Then I did some simple streathes and that was the end of that workout. I just got done swimming where I swam intensely for about 20-25 minutes. My swimming was alot better today! I finally found the rythem I've been looking for! My dad, brother, and I are going to a movie tonight since the weather's so crappy (were seeing The Transformer) and hopefully my dad won't get buttered popcorn since were going right after we get done eating (I LOVE buttered popcorn, one of my weaknesses). But if I have a little bit I won't stress over it, I most likely won't even want to since I would have been done eating dinner. Well thats it for now! Have a good night everyone!
 
Transformers was a good movie!!!

You're doing great avoiding temptation and getting that exercise in... its really hard to do when on vacation... especially when others are around you eating and doing all the things you want.

Hey everyone! Well The Transformers was a very interesting movie last night! I really really liked it! It was definitly the most interesting movie I have ever seen. As for today, I have eaten another bowl of cheerios with 1% milk and blueberries, and 1 cup of coffee with splenda. For lunch I had 2 small slices of leftover hawaiin pizza and a small salad with carrots, onions, and hidden valley light ranch dressing. For dinner were having turkey quasidea's (I have no clue how to spell that lol) with a flour tortilla instead of whole wheat (didn't have whole wheat at the grocery store) and fat free refried beans. I plan on having a little bit of my cookie dough ice cream and a little bit of haagen daz vanilla swiss almond ice cream later tonight (a small scoop of each, gonna be no more than a half cup). So all in all a pretty good eating day but not the healthiest. For activity my dad and I took a nice walk on the beach this morning and went hunting for more "sea treasures". And I went swimming again today, I didn't get that good of a swim this time because there were alot of people in the pool today so I just did the best I could (I proably swam for 10 minutes overall). Tomorrow I plan on going into the cardio room in the morning..I havn't decided whether I want to do the stair machine again or do the treadmill this time, I'll just have to wait and see! Hey everyone! Todays been a pretty good day so far....For food intake today I had a small bowl of Life cereal with half of a banana, vanilla soymilk and one cup of coffee with splenda. For lunch I had a turkey and ham sandwhich on 12 grain bread, with mustard, tomato, onion, horseradish, and lettuce, and some bing cherries. For dinner were having leftover spagetti, i'm having some of that and 1 piece of garlic bread and a small salad with onions, carrots, tomatos, jalapenos, cheese, and 1 tablespoon of dads homeade thousand island dressing. I really really want some ice cream again for desert but I had a little bit to much of that last night (I know I know everytime I say I'm gonna have no more than a half cup of ice cream I always end up having more lol, something to definitly work on) so I'm gonna skip the ice cream tonight and maybe have a little bit tomorrow or the next day. Once I get home, no more ice cream or sweets for awhile lol. For activity I went into the cardio room and did a half hour on the stair machine on the Hill program at level 6, then I did 50 (girly style) pushups (3 sets of 15 pushups) and 90 crunches (3 sets of 30). I also went swimming again today but didn't really swim much, I did about 10 minutes of intense swimming then I played Beachball with my dad and some other kids that were in the pool. Unfortunitly my family and I havn't been able to do much on our vacation because the whethers been so crappy, but I'm still keeping myself busy with the working out and the swimming, so I'm happy :) If my dad and I don't go down to the beach in the morning then I'll go into the cardio room again tomorrow. Well thats all I have to repor for now, I hope everyones having a great week!

sounds like you've been busy. haha Also, I'm proud of you for keeping up with your workout. Every little bit counts. 'Nuff said. Oh and by the way, I LURVE the Transformers movie. I used to be a huge fan of them when I was a tomboy back in the days. (Yes, I'm showing my age... haha) I saw it 3 times so far. I'm such a nerd. hahaaaa! Keep up the good work, doll!

Thanks alot for visiting and replying to my journal Sheryl! It's great to have you here! Yeah I loved The Transformers movie, I would definitly go see it again! Shia LeBouff is so awesome in it!! I was addicted to his show "Even Stevens" when it was on (I can't seem to find it on disney channel anymore) and in the movie he has the exact same sense of humor as he did in Even Stevens and he still acts like the same quirkey kid. And yeah you are right Jenna, vacations can be the ultimate diet killer if you aren't careful and keeping up with the same routine as you were at home. To tell you the truth it's kind of a pain to eat right and exercise when your on vacation because all you want to do is convince yourself that "your on vacation and shouldn't be worrying about that kind of stuff" but the truth is you just can't do that once you get off the wagon when your on vacation, it is SO HARD getting back on it when you get home. Thats why I've been doing my best to not eat like a total pig here :) I REALLY wanted some ice cream after dinner, but luckily I fought temptation and convinced myself that I would have one more small bowl before I get home, just not tonight :) Well I will report back to ya'll tomorrow and I hope to hear from you guys later!
 
Well everyone, this has been my worst day so far as far as eating goes. For breakfast I started off really good, I had a bowl of Life cereal with blueberries, vanilla soymilk, and 1 cup of coffee with sweet N'low. But then later in the day is when I really blew it...For a "snack" I had chips and salsa and some dip made of beans, sour cream, guacomolem, salsa, and onions (I had a small plate of chips, wasn't to bad but it was definitly more than one portion or chips) and them I had 1 hersheys kiss, 1 piece of dark chocolate, 1 piece of a Mr Goodbar and 1 piece of s resses peanut butter cup (I mean those bite size candies) and for a "lunch-dinner" type thing we had fresh crab (absolutly DELICIOUS!, theres nothing like fresh crab!) I had 1 full crab and another half of one (they were relatively small crabs but that was still alot to eat, and we also had some sautee'd shrimp and clams, and I had 4 fish sticks and some seasoned baked fries with ketchup. And if that wasn't enough, I had a bowl of ice cream :eek2: Well I'm not to upset about it because I was bound to have at least one bad day on this vacation and it felt kind of good to let myself loose a little bit and I feel good that I didn't completely fly off the handle like I would have done in the past. I kind of want to go into the cardio room later on tonight to work off some of these calories, but on the other hand I feel way to tired and to lazy today to even try it, so I think I'm going to just wait till the morning to go into the cardio room and exercise before I have breakfast. Today I didn't really get any physical activity in, I didn't go for a walk on the beach and I havn't gone swimming today, so today was just one of those really lazy days. Well I will definitly report again tomorrow and I hope everyones having a great night :)
