Weigh-in: 194.0
BM: 4, all solid, yeah, "foot ball length" intestines, huh?

Food
Snack: 1 cheese stick, 1 pretzel, 125cal
Lunch: 3 cups of egg flower soup, 10 piece of sushi, egg roll, 1 cup veggies, 4 fried shrimp, 1000cal
Snack: 1 snacksize m&m mcflurry, 350cal
Snack: 2cups pineapple, 100cal
Calories: 1,575

The weather is so nice, sunshine + mcflurry = damn, i think I just went to heaven. I'm going to drink water and munch on pineapple for the rest of the day.

I applied to be part of a DASH diet study for 14 weeks, follow diet, no alcohol!, get food provided, blood work done, meet with a nutritionist, get measured, but i'm not allowed to lose weight. I e-maild them about that. I also get $1000.

Too good to be true, not sure if I want to pass this $1000 opportunity. I don't eat chemicals, clean food, increase fruit and veggies consumption.

Dietbet.com damn you, I might have to try to weigh in as close to 188/187 during my initiation to at least win my investment in.

Hmmm... I think that getting to your goal is more important than $1000... But then if you are almost there anyway, you may as well do it.

What is your BMI?

Overtherainbow, excellent point. How important IS $1000?

Being that I will be in school for four years in August, so I will not be able to have a job, I'd like to save every penny.

Being that my self-esteem and confidence has a direct link to my weight loss, I'd like to lose as much before school starts. Podiatry school won't be easy.

I've been told to keep my weight at 3% of initial weight. So, in my mind 1) I can win my diet bet money back and 2) still lose 6-7 pounds.

Well, after much thought and consideration within the past 6 hours, I've decided to decline on the study.

I think weight loss and my sister promised me $1,000 shopping spree if I hit 150pounds. So, it's a win win situation if I lose weight and I will get money that I would've put towards a brand new wardrobe.

Overtherainbow, you were the spark to get me to second think. Seriously, Thank you! I really appreciate it. =)

Tomorrow is a new day. Now, if I can get to 150 in 14 weeks, that'll be a great challenge.

For now, I need to stop gorging on food and be a bit more sensible. Tomorrow is a beautiful day!

So, I woke up today and decided that I wasn't going to keep eating a bunch of crap and continue my weight loss. So, I'm on the right track thus far. I'll cook chicken thighs and pasta sauce tonight for dinner. I'm craving pasta sauce with chicken! I'll add some broccoli too! Yummy, I am excited.

I need to exercise because I vowed to not do the DASH study. Also, I'm embarrassed that my hips were so sore from the hike on Saturday, my hips were still in pain on Monday!

I came home after work, stripped and weighed in at 194.6, Not so bad after yesterday's damage. I didn't poo, but I peed all clear today. Weird.

I'm going to go clean the kitchen and cook.

I felt quite full and bloated after lunch today. I did learn how to knit! A knitted a ruffle scarf this afternoon. A hobby that'll keep my hands busy and my mind off food. =)

I ordered a night splint for my right foot. This Plantar Fascitis is no fun. Becoming a Podiatrist couldn't have been more of an irony right now. Hmm, I can't wait to practice steroid injections in my heel...Steroid or cortisone?...whichever.

Walked for 7 hours of shopping.

Bought and wore a foot splinter last night for a few hours, took it off while sleeping due to discomfort. At my hospital job, feeling the heel flare up.

I was planning to hike, but I don't want to make it worse. And I think I feel it in my left foot now!

Hi Laura, How goes the battle? It sounds like you're fighting hard!
7 hours of shopping?? I haven't done that much in one day in 10 years... ugh. I hate shopping. :)

Hey Don! Thanks for stopping by, love the visits ;)

I feel like I've settled into this "comfort" at 193. On a fat day, I weigh 193. 193 is my new comfort weight. I hate that I've gotten comfortable.

I'm nursing the foot splint, while lounging on the cough in the living room. I'm nursing the foot splint on my right foot, will switch over to the left in a few hours. Sleep with it on the right.

I can't make any promises, I feel like I just go beyond them. I have lost my strictness with my diet. Eating things I shouldn't eat. Now with both of my feet out of commission, I need a swimming cap...there I go on amazon.

I just worked my hospital job, so I stood for 8 hours straight. NO SITTING, only for my 25min lunch break. I had to run to the 4th floor for a code blue.

Take care of your feets as best as you can. You can add "rowing machine" to the list of low impact workouts. For some reason that seems to be a guy thing though. Rarely see women on it.

My right heel is seriously flaring. I feel it even though I am wearing my beloved Danskos. I only had the foot splint on for 3 hours while sleeping last night, expecting magic here folks, but nothing.

I just want to go home and put my foot in a splint and work on my knitting. Also, I expect my menses within the next 7 days, fabulous. Talk about gaining a few LBs and feeling bloated. We'll see it when it happens! ;)

Hey, Laura!
Sorry about the fluctuations... but you know they're bound to happen, even when we're doing most everything right. Hang in there. The only thing I can see that could affect it would be water retention... either TOM, salt in your diet or just the amount you're drinking. That's a problem that'll resolve itself in time, but I keep my sodium low just to avoid big daily fluctuations. Seriously, a salty dinner (ham, corned beef, etc) can make my weight jump 3-4 pounds overnight EASILY. I watch my sodium and drink like a fish to balance it all.

Is that a homemade green curry? You are making me CRAVE a Thai curry... there maybe a veg green curry in my near future.

Hey Don! You're so nice! Yes it is green thai curry! So spicy and delicious! Made with coconut milk and sweet potato/red bell pepper/ ground turkey = yummy!

This right foot splint has yet to give me relief. I feel extremely immobile due to it.

Good news is my swim cap should be here tomorrow. But i don't have a swimming pool right next door, there is one 5 miles down the road...but gas around here is $4.30/gallon.

My right ankle feels even worse actually...i've become more sensitized to any pain or discomfort

It sounds like the swimming pool may be just the ticket for you to take some time and heel up your ankle/foot. I love swimming and wish I could just go down to the beach like when I lived in Hawaii. Maybe someday I'll gain the courage necessary to swim in public again.

How close are you on the dietbet site goals?

I'm kinda mad that I weighed in this morning at 192 and then after my hospital shift, I come home to 194.6. What's up with that??? I'm actually really frustrated.

I didn't go to the cycling class, but I plan on going to the gym later. I came home exhausted and something is wrong with my gas tank meter in my car, I magically ate 60 miles worth of gas on my trip back home.

I cleaned my bedroom of all the clothes that needed to be hung, wiped my desk, made my bed (which I don't do every morning...) and wiped the bathroom counter. Yeah, I feel better. =)

No gym, but got both my arches wrapped in sports tape, right in a foot splint and left in an arch bandage.
