How do you start a diary?

Hey guys! Gonna be quick! Well, heading out of town tomorrow...excited! Stressed too...it's hard to remember to pack EVERYTHING! Anyway, today was much better than the rest of the week school wise...
Here are my eats:
cereal and milk
yogurt
bread and ab
snacks: 1 string cheese, 1 plum, 1 apple, 2 nectarines, 1 gum
dinner: bread and ab, feta, 1 small plain sweet potato
water

Exercise: hr cardio, ran today too (=p ), few weights (half-ass again)...And didn't stretch or do abs = shame shame...Oh well will do later.

Am going to go to the gym at 6 in the morning tomorrow which is atypical of me. But am heading out of town right after school and won't be back till late Saturday, so don't want this to be a 4 day gym wk...rather it be 5! I can defy the law of wanting to stay in bed tomorrow! =)
Enjoyed lunch today...made the almond butter MYSELF. Roasted peanuts in the oven for 10 minutes. Then added to food processor for few minutes till turned creamy. Didn't add ANYTHING (no oil, no sugar, nada...didn't want any fake crap in there). Maybe I'll try making other nut butters later...fun! Anyway, peace out folks! Safe driving and little traffic tomorrow I hope!!!!
 
Hey guys! Glad to be home sweet home! Had so much fun Friday!!! Came back last night. Slept well b/c was so tired...As far as the eats, did well on Friday. Ate little too much for dinner yesterday. It's ok though...I'm working on it! Will update again tonight! =)

Had lot of things tonight...wasn't satisfied w/ dinner so had more than usually do. Will skip yogurt and cereal in the morning tomorrow and have one less snack...

Hey!! Been doing well in the mornings and afternoon lately then less strict in the evenings...need to work on that. Have a wedding (not my own ha ha) coming up soon that I want to be slimmed down for so...Just gotta be patient and be more strict w/ myself. Two tests Wed. which I am not feeling prepared for. Can't wait for the weekend! My eats today:

Shame on me!! Skipped the cereal and milk and yogurt in the morning, but I couldn't resist in the evening. It's so weird...it's like my body/brain knows when I skip something and somehow makes sure I have it. Insane! I will just have to exercise more will power tomorrow! Skipped gym today too to study. Maybe will go early in the morning tomorrow before class...if not too tired. Side note: The pb I had at dinner was regular Jif and it tasted so different to me! I've been having natural for a while now, so the "unnatural" had such a funny taste. Weird! Had fun w/ the classmates today...laughed a lot. Hope tomorrow goes well, especially tomorrow night (looking like it'll be a long one as of right now)!
 
It's not a good idea to skip your breakfast. I have the same problem as you in that it's much harder to resist food in the evenings.

Thanks Eycky! You're right...I usually don't skip bfast but was trying to make up for having an extra bowl one night. Failed miserably. Maybe one day this week will manage too...

Hey guys!! Ok, my fighter spirit is back!!!!! I am strong...This is not rocket science...I can do this!! Went to bed at 2 am...woke up at 6:30 am. Took 2 tests...did not go to the gym = unacceptable. Plan for rest of week is to eat right, go to the gym, and not feel like blah. Have a few things have to edit in eating plans and maybe can "up" the workout times...No tests till next wk again, so I can take advantage of my spare time and put it to good use. I know I am able to do something when I put my mind to it. It's just sometimes I eat more than usual or sleep less or not drink enough fluid to stay hydrated or don't feel like going to the gym...excuses excuses. But I am still proud of myself. I have NOT binged! I HAVE been very consistent with my exercising. I TRY! So kudos! lol Back to the gym tomorrow...missed those gray walls. Well, not really...missed listening to my ipod though! =) And seeing the occasional not so shabby stranger! ha :biggrinjester: Peace out!
 
Hola! Well, today was interesting. Overslept. Then the usual school with giggles scattered in there somewhere. Went to the gym!! Hurrah! Finally (after freakin 3 days of leave)! Need to do abs though...can't use this cold weather as excuse not to define my tummy! Anyway, then came home and cleaned up nicely (shaved, tweezed, yada yada) for nite out w/ friends. =)
Eats today:

lunch: bread and ab (miss pb but haven't gotten chance to go to grocery store)
snacks: 3 plums, 1 peach (kinda big), 1 string cheese
dinner: 1 slice of pizza

Feeling good. It's amazing what grooming can do to a girl! lol Now if I could just clean my room...

Not bad day today. Class was late in the morning so got to sleep in a little. After class went to the grocery store. Bought pb and fruits! Was so happy about the pb...yum yum. Then went to the gym and found out they'll be closed 2 days next wk for the students' break. Grreeaattt...stupid gym. Also, got a lil upset w/ mom today but I think it's ok now. Whatever. Going to enjoy this long weekend thanks to being off on Monday!

Sometimes I think it's easier to eat right when "distracted" with something fun (went to an event tonight). It provides you pleasure that doesn't revolve around food...u know? Although, I guess fun doesn't necessarily involve eating right in the case where the 2 are mixed...

Exercise: usual cardio, few weights, lil abs

I remember years ago reading a book called "the sluts guide to housekeeping" and one of the main tips that I picked up is that you can fool people into thinking that your house is clean if you keep it tidy.
One that I also found useful was that everything has to have a place where it's normally kept so once a day you go round the house and put everything back into it's proper tidy place. Apparently once something is out of place for more than a day or two you won't even notice it's messy as you will be used to seeing it there. It's worked to keep my house loooking mostly tidy although I loathe house cleaning and do the minimum I can get away with without people talking badly about me :D

Sounds good to me Ecky! Yep it's easy to make up the bed, but I tend to be lazy w/ putting up clothes...Good idea! =)

Had fun today. It's weird...sometimes I still have those teenage moods even though I'm too old to have them...Didn't want to go to a party w/ family (was complaining bout it probably being boring) but my aunt brightened my outlook and I ended up going and had fun. Feeling happy right now. Guess we gotta make/find opportunities in our lives instead of waiting for them to come to us...
Well, the scale cooperated today...feeling good.

dinner (party): 1 sandwich and a half (no sauces...chicken, lettuce, tomato, cheese, few olives...think that's it) and few nuts

Exercise: Someone said I was a beast today! Not sure if that's good! Ha ha! I'd rather be called Beauty (Beauty and the Beast)! =) Anyway did cardio, weights, ABBBBBSSS (yea!), and stretched (finally! my muscles were tight b/c didn't stretch this wk!)! G'nite gang!

LOL well if it works and you do it I will have achieved more with you than I have with my daughter:)
from my experience with my neices teenage mood swings last well into the mid twenties:)

Had a lot for dinner!! And almost skipped the cereal today but caved in (don't worry...I'll take care of it later). I think I was hungrier today b/c exercised more. And it's the weekend so more idle time...Today did not feel like a Sunday...u know that empty feeling u get when you know you have to go back to work/school on Monday...well I didn't have that feeling today b/c no school tomorrow! Yay! lol One of my teachers said students are the only ppl that don't want their money's worth (don't mind cancelled classes or leaving class early despite paying for their education). Anyway, see y'all tomorrow! Have a good nite!

Hey guys! Well, I was productive today as far as washing and putting up clothes...school-wise = not so much. It's ok though...I'll survive. Enjoyed today...we got rain! One of best things in the world = listening to rain falling on the roof. =)

snacks: 2 apples, 1 peach, 2 string cheese [need to go to the grocery store...fruit sizes are huge (parents bought them)...prefer buying small ones]
dinner: yummy...yesterday's leftovers...lil rice and kabob

Exercise: hr cardio, weights, stretches...will try to squeeze in abs this wk and do cardio faithfully...the gym will be closed thurs and fri and have 2 tests this wk as usual so will have to manage my time well! Gotta be strong! :smash: Might go fix another cup of tea and have my stick of gum! Peace!
 
ZZZZZ am sooo sleepy!! Hardly slept last night. Kept thinking I was gonna oversleep and miss part of class again so kept waking up to check the clock. Ugh. And thought class would be till 5 pm, so went to gym at 6 am. Turns out we got out of our class early. It's ok though. It felt good to exercise early in the morning...I didn't have to worry about squeezing in my workout the rest of the day. I seriously think of it as something on my to do list...u know? And just try to check it off almost like brushing my teeth (that's what my fitness teacher in college said and I liked the analogy).

Eats:
Skipped cereal and milk but ended up having it later in the day...sigh

dinner: yummm...lil rice, eggplant dish w/ 2 eggs, meat

Am studying now...Was so hungry when I came home!! I know it's from the lack of sleep. Feel better now that I've had dinner. Seriously though a lot of ppl mistake thirst and lack of sleep for hunger...glad my mind's being calm for the moment as far as cravings...Hope it'll cooperate tomorrow night and Thursday nite for my exams!

My daughter and a couple of her friends are like that at the moment and they are all in their 2nd or 3rd year. I think it's just because of it being the start of the school year after having a great summer and they need to get settled into a routine. My daughter keeps getting up early to go to Uni only to find that the class has been cancelled and then has to drive home again to then go back a couple of hours later. The problem is if you change you still might not like it. It's very difficult when you are young to have to make a decision about what you want to do for the rest of your life.
 
You are absolutely right Ecky!!! Thanks for understanding! =) It is hard to commit to one thing but I think sometimes it's because we have so many options available that it becomes challenging. Am thankful though for all the choices we can choose from...

Will not lie and say today was better! lol But it's ok...tomorrow is Friday! Thank god! Have to make up for some stuff as usual due to my extra food intake while studying. It's ok though. Before I would give myself license to eat like crazy while studying and would look forward to staying up late to do so. Now I eat just to keep going and don't have nearly as much = progress...Well guys, gotta go. Take care!
 
Hey guys!! It's Friday! Woo hoo! Stayed up till 1 and woke up lil early to study. Test was ok. I'm over it now. Came home and did cleaning routine again. It's so funny how house gets messy and I get hairy (lol) when stressed and then everything resolves itself again...Feeling happy tonight. Saw one of my best friends that I hadn't seen for few weeks. Old friendships are the best.
Wasn't bad w/ the eating routine today. Still few things I need to take care of but proud of myself considering everything. My belly was so bloated today...don't recommend having several plums in a short time frame...had tea to ease it up some.
Did manage to go to dad's gym today. Mine will open back up tomorrow so will head over there. Must get back to my ab routine...
