How do you start a diary?

Hola! Today was good. Went to a carnival at my elementary school...brought back memories. How quickly life goes by! I mean I was there around like 4 thousand days ago (if convert years to days)...crazy! Afterwards, went to the gym. Enjoyed it...the other day my ipod wasn't working but borrowed my mom's today and was so much easier w/ music!
Food today:
yogurt
bread and pb
snacks: 2 oranges, 1 string cheese, 1 plum, 1 banana, 1 gum
dinner: beef kabob, "kuku", chicken
salad
water and tea

Exercise: hr cardio, plus running, weights, lil abs, stretches
Am doing ok w/ the food...not wonderful but decent I suppose. Have successfully skipped cereal two days (had extra while studying this wk) = yay! Still need to make up for extra yogurt and fruit. Find it easier to take care of 1 of them at a time...Well, g'nite everyone!
 
Aloha! Not a bad day...Had breakfast w/ family...look forward to it every weekend (the company...hot tea...). Studied some. Still have to read an article...oh well. Can someone tell me what family plans are for the typical weekend?? I mean sometimes I wonder how close our family is. We don't necessarily have a lot of the same interests (gardening on weekend does not sound fun to me). Don't get me wrong...we love each other and all...I was just wondering what else you do w/ family besides eating out, parties, and occasional vacations. And it doesn't help living in a small town...
Switching gears...
Did well on the "cereal front" today [wasn't sure if I still needed to make up a day so managed to not have it today as well...will go back to my cheerio's tomorrow morning =) ]

Had the pepperocini (not pepperoni!) and okra in the afternoon on a whim (well kinda wanted to avoid mom getting mad at me for taking up fridge space by not eating the darn thing b/c I bought it way back ha ha). Made my mouth feel on fire (good for metabolism tho). Ha! But was less calories than a fruit, so I might do that trick again. lol And didn't even finish the portion I set aside b/c too spicy! Don't know why I didn't think of this sooner! G'nite!

Didn't even want to go today but did anyway and am glad I did. Caught up w/ a friend and pushed myself...Wonder what Tuesday will bring...
 
Hey journal. Well, not a bad day except was dragged out...Wish school started at 10 or 11...would be totally amazing! I mean it's not like I can focus when I'm there at 8...so what's the point? Only there physically but mentally absent...Anyway, did not skip the yogurt this morning b/c was still hungry but one of these days...

dinner: bread, pb, feta, and 1 small plain sweet potato...always feel little sad when it's over...I'm thinking where did that slice of bread go and that one and...oops already ate them =)

might have salad later...(ate dinner early)

Skipped the gym today. It's all good though. Bout to look over notes and hopefully (I say "hopefully" b/c usually doesn't happen!!) sleep early so I'm not dead tomorrow in class...Peace!
 
Hello journal. Today was a good day. Had fun w/ classmates...got out of my afternoon class early. Went to the gym and enjoyed a satisfying dinner afterwards... =)

Feeling content. Went grocery shopping today and was so proud of myself when I saw my grocery cart compared to some other individuals. It's a shame that some companies care more about their profit than the welfare of their fellow citizens. Soooo much crap on those store shelves. Maybe one day things will be different...wish healthy food were cheaper and junk more expensive...might help the current obesity crisis but that's just my opinion...Anyway, g'nite!
 
Hey everyone! Am doing well! Laughed a lot today in class! Funny peeps and teachers...makes learning more enjoyable...Found out didn't do as bad as I thought on a test which is a good feeling. Was happy that I went to the gym today considering I have a test tomorrow...I just told myself "N-O." "NO, you cannot drive home." "NO, you cannot skip the gym." And I'm glad I did! Would have wasted time at home anyway...

There's a 97 yr old man who comes to the gym. He's so sweet. He mostly walks around the track but he's very aware mentally and doesn't appear to have the typical musculoskeletal issues some older individuals have. I hope I end up like him (don't want to be old and unable to do anything)! Anyway, bout to go study some more. Might have an extra gum or a salad...peace out!
 
Hey journal! How are you? Hmmm...glad it's Friday! Took my test today, don't know where the heck some of the questions came from and why things were worded so weird. But it's over (for now). Two tests this upcoming week...whatever. Anyway, I had a lot of fun tonight catching up w/ old friends. Girls night! Woo hoo! Get to sleep in tomorrow! =)

Probably need to vary the fruits. Also, I probably should have skipped the roll at the restaurant but I'm ok w/ my choice to have it. Will try to skip yogurt tomorrow. Am ok w/ my decisions overall I think. Bye for now!
 
Hey there just wanted to stop by and say that your doing great. I've fallen off but not for long. I plan to change my workout schedule... I'm currently getting prepared for it. I should start soon. But I am so amazed to see you sticking to your good eats. I don;t know how people do it. I struggle sooo much. I really admire you. Keep it up girl
 
Adeon, seriously thanks for the compliment!! I'm trying to take each day at a time. I feel greater resolve these days b/c I know I want to make this change in my life so I can focus on other things. Hope that makes sense. And I'm glad to hear you are going to stick with it! I know you can do it! And I promise I make mistakes too...I just try to somehow make more positive steps than negative steps back! =) I know this is all worth it. Sometimes I get impatient...for example those days where I go out with friends and have to wear clothes already in my closet (haven't allowed myself to buy new clothes yet), but I try to remember to take each day at a time. That's all we can do...

Well gang...doing well today. Spent time w/ the fam today. Wonderful weather too. Overall a nice day.

Hey guys!! I feel so much better right now! Didn't get much sleep last night b/c of the test and was concerned. When I woke up this morning to study, I was so hungry/craving stuff. I had cereal, yogurt, a fruit, and piece of gum late last night which was "extra." So at the time I told myself I wouldn't have anything but a fruit this morning. Yeeeaaahhhh riiiggghhht. Instead I woke up and had the fruit, but then wanted yogurt, and my cereal. Ended up having most of my snacks that I allocate to myself throughout the day in the morning. And had a piece of gum. But then I stopped!!! I am so proud of myself! I even ignored the huge tempting apple in the fridge (it was so frickin big)! I tried to be rational with my choices and even though I ate a LOT in the morning, the rest of the day was fair.

lunch: 2 slices of pepperoni pizza (class had a party) (I skipped all the deserts! But I'm not even really tempted by it anyway)
snacks: orange, 3 apples, 100 cal. pack of almonds, gum
dinner: different leftovers: spaghetti, lil pork chop, lil rice, lil steak, lil kuku (don't worry small portions of everything)

Exercise: the gym was great today. Kicked butt. Ran on the treadmill and did usual cardio. Did couple weights and stretched finally. Still gotta do abs (when find time).

Feeling good guys! The best part is knowing that I didn't screw myself over for a short-lived pleasure that I would regret afterwards! That's such a great feeling! I WILL MAKE UP FOR THE CEREAL AND YOGURT TOMORROW. Might be easier if wake up later so less time to linger at home before class. I'll probably just have a fruit [for real this time =)]. Well, the joy of studying is not over (sarcasm)! lol Test Thursday...bye for now!
 
I really admire you. You are doing so well. It's really difficult not to overeat when you have the stress of tests but you manage it really well. You so deserve your weight loss. I think that it's more difficult for students to keep to a weight loss programme than just about anybody. :)

Ok so I did skip the cereal and milk and yogurt beautifully until around 7 at night b/c was studying...so yeeeaaahhhh. BUT there's always tomorrow (as Scarlet O Hara would say or was it Annie...). As usual, gotta make up for few mistakes, but I did manage to go to the gym today and tried to be decent w/ food decisions. Can't wait to relax tomorrow! Well guys, goodbye for now. Hey guys!! Feel great! Not b/c of the test and school stuff...Everyone thinks they failed it so oh well. I feel so exhilirated b/c just got back from a party w/ classmates. I'm usually not the type to put myself out there and dance, but I did tonight. It's the most unbelievable feeling to put yourself in such a vulnerable position as dancing in front of a crowd and trying not to think about it and to just follow the music! Wow! Should definitely do it more often! I was nervous and excited all at the same time. I think the hardest part is either starting to dance or starting back after having stopped to rest (most intimidating aspects). Anyway, glad the week is almost over. Did not do that well w/ the eats last night but considering I only got 3 hrs of sleep I'll say I did pretty well. I ate healthy things, but even an excess of healthy foods is not a good thing. Will make up for it tomorrow and over the weekend. Am not worried. =) So happy to have stepped out of my comfort zone tonight. Great way to end the otherwise crappy day! =) :party:

So went to the gym today...it was good. Only bad part was rushing which unfortunately have to do again tomorrow. I like to take my time but have couple places have to go tomorrow and you know how short gym hours are on the weekend...will just have to work fast. Managed to make up for one bowl of cereal and yogurt today...two more days to go! lol

Hey guys! 2nd day of making up for cereal and yogurt! =) One more needed! Doing well w/ the eating I think. Sometimes wish I could lose weight faster, but it's ok. Slow and steady wins the race. Did manage to go to the gym today even though had to run back and forth between places. That cut my gym time short, so I had to focus on cardio as opposed to weights, stretches, and abs. I hate when that happens! If I had it my way, I would stay in the gym for few hours to take care of myself and to not think about anything except my music and occasional magazine blurb or t.v. show. I think I need to bring in extra discipline (oh but it's so hard!) as far as eats. Don't know whether I should shoot for 6 gym days, but don't want to say "6" and then disappoint myself/feel guilty when school interferes w/ that. Probably more realistic to stick w/ my 5. Wish I didn't think about food so much. Some ppl just don't even care about it and that's so interesting to me. I guess they're so busy that they don't have time to think about it. Anyway gotta keep up the hard work...Adios!
 
Hey! Not a bad day. Cleaned the house some. Watched some tv w/ family...The gym was great. Was really into my music. Ran some too. Ran on a different treadmill than the one I usually use, and it was so much harder! They were the exact same machine, so that's crazy! Anyway, feel like I've been in a rush at the gym for the past few days...not a fan! Hopefully, when life slows down some, I'll be able to be more "la di da" about it. Came home to have a great dinner and the usual answering the door for trick-or-treaters. All in all a good day. As far as school, didn't really do much this wkend (only opened my binders to put notes in place)...might regret that later. Oh, today was my last compensation day for the cereal and yogurt! Woo hoo! I don't know why I was better able to stay away from it this time...am glad though! =)

Hey! Well, today was interesting I guess. Felt sad in my morning class b/c I didn't really have a clue what was going on, and it was depressing. Wanted to go cry in the bathroom a little, but I figured my eyes would get red and everyone could tell. So I just tried to stretch my face a lil and look down occasionally. Sigh. During lunch I kinda had a mood change and tried to talk/joke around w/ ppl, and the rest of the day went uphill from there. Guess just needed an outlook adjustment. Anyway decided to skip the gym today. Came home and was so hungry...

Thought the quote was interesting. He's kinda on track...discipline is key! Anyway, today was not a bad day. Almost was gonna wake up at 5 am to exercise but decided not to. It was raining and dark outside and I was sleepy. Butttt I did go after class! It was pretty late too, so I was happy w/ myself. Saw an absolutely gorgeous guy and when I was leaving actually had some eye contact w/ him! lol It was amusing! I politely said hi and he just looked at me and that was it. Ha ha! Anyway, then went off to vote! =)
