I am trying a new recipe tomorrow....

Greek Chicken Skewers
1 - 1 1/2 chicken breast, cut into equal size chunks
Marinated in - lemon juice, 1 cup minced onion, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 tsp oregeno, 1 tsp cumin, 2 bay leaves

Planning on serving with seasoned rice.
 
a good friend of mine got very sick on the depo. made her depressed, gained a ton of weight. depo = evil.
 
What about IUD? Any good experiences there?

Sometimes I cant remember to take that freakin pill. One time I forgot a whole week, so stupid me decided to take 5 pills at a time...

Not at all so smart. I was soooo sick, chills, sweats, pukey.... really bad.
 
eek thats not good.
I had my tubes cut - its so much less stressful lol :D

but yeah i put on a bunch on depo - and i bled for 6 months straight :/
 
HELP!

I am due for my annual exam.. I do not want any more children, but my husband will not get a vastectomy. Should I switch from the pill to the depo shot? I heard it makes you gain weight... Opinions please!????????

NOOOO, do NOT get Depo! I gained weight and had so many problems as a result...even though the doctor tried to say it was unrelated. :rolleyes: As for the IUD, I've been considering that. There's a new plastic one out that's supposed to be so much safer than the ones our mothers had. Starts with an "M", but I can't remember right now. One of my girlfriends is getting it soon, I'm letting her be the guinea pig....I'll see how her experience is and make a decision.

I wanted to get my tubes tied after I had my daughter but my dad had a fit! So...I didn't. I'm a daddy's girl, what can I say?

Mirena! I actually called my insurance company today to see if it is covered. They are suppose to call me back by the end of the week to let me know. My DR appointment is on Monday.


Due to you all, I have RULED OUT the depo shot
 
see, I guess I have to be the odd one out....I loved depo!! Didnt' have any prob's with it...but I guess i'm just lucky b/c I've heard lots of others did have prob's.
 
Just stopping by to see how you're doing. I vote for the IUD, I've heard some good things about it lately.
 
Hi Heidi!! I've been so bad about keeping up with everyone this week....I hope everythings going well for you! :)
 
I talk with the Doctor on Monday... so far I think I am going to stick with the old pill...and nag my husband into getting a vasectomy... hehe. I talked with a lady that had the IUD and she said that for the first three weeks she bled...and when she has her periods she has painful cramping. But will see what the dr. recommends.


I have been really really bad about not doing my diary and I have been sliding. When I weighed in on Friday, I weighed myself several times looking for that sweet spot some of you talked about...and ha! I found one. And I felt like I fibbed on it. So I decided I am not going to change my ticker this week either and start afresh this week.

Goals for this week:
1. Do Diary every day, post foods, cals, and exersice
2. Stay within 1200 cal range
3. Drink 3 L of water a day
4. Walk atleast an hour a day (perferable 30 mins in the AM and 30 mins in the PM), do 50 reps of toe touches, crunches, and squats
5. Do Tae Bo Tape 3 nights a week
6. Get atleast 8 hours of sleep a night
 
Good luck on getting the hubby to get the Big "V". Us men take great pride in being the 'rythym man'. "V's" tend to make us feel like we're being sent to pasture *sigh*

Good luck with your goals this week (and every week).

Get any hunting in lately ??
 
Hi Heidi! Hope you're having a great weekend. Sorry I haven't stopped by your diary in forever but I've been sick. Hope everything is going great for you! :)
 
Today would have been a great day if I could breath out of my NOSE! I think I am getting addicted to Afrin :(


Breakfast; frosted shredded wheat with 1/4 cup 2% milk, 300 cals
snack; blueberry muffin, 150 cals
lunch; homemade potato soup w/ 4 saltines, 320 cals
dinner; beef pot pie, 370 cals
Total = 1140
2 L of water so far, but I will drink another L before bed time. Cross my heart :)
Exercise; Walked 2.5 miles in 40 minutes

I am off work tomorrow. So I will definately have my 8 hours of sleep.

Watched "CLICK" today... wasnt as good as I thought it would be. Fell asleep last night watching "Lucky Number Slevin" at 7:30 and woke up at 8:30 AM. Tonights movie.... "Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift."


T2- I have been on call for work, so havent gotten much hunting in... but my husband has been going every weekend. He is out right now infact!

dinner, chicken, crescent roll, mac and cheese, appx. 700 cals
snack, pickle, 5 cals
Total - 1135

Excersice, 2 mile walk - 30 mins,(It started pouring rain and has been raining all day...so) Abs of steel tape, plus daily squats, crunches, toe touches
Water- 2 liters, but will drink 1L before bed

Having a plan is the best way to ensure you'll get where you want to be!

I have noticed when I go several days without listing my calories, I don't lose as much weight or stay the same.

When I'm better at keeping track, I do better overall - it's funny how it works that way ;)
