So slow minimum runs for a few days now as my back is really bugging me. I spent a lot of the weekend laid up. Spasms today too.

I still have not been on the scale nor do I have any immediate plans to. I have been eating quite a bit lately but I feel like I am ready to go back to a calorie deficit.
 
Misread that 271 briefly and was like, "whoa, dude!" Then I realized that was your run streak and not your weight. Afraid I was going to have to come down there and bootcamp you. My R. Lee Ermey impersonation is not very good, so I wouldn't even be entertaining while doing it.

Please take it easy on your back. No more injuries is pretty much first priority, they get in the way of everything else.

As for the eating and calorie deficits, lemme know how it goes. My one worry with my current plan is that come October I'll find it really hard to go back to cut calories mode.

Dang! Sorry about your back! I hope it smartens up quick! That's very impressive that you still run even with such a sore back!
 
My back felt good while I was running yesterday so I ran hard. 1 mile 7:56 for day 271. My back went back into spasm once I sat down, but no worse than before the run so that's good. I didn't even try to eat right last night. Still hurts this morning.
 
I've gone out in sympathy! No golf for me today as the thought of swinging a golf club makes me cringe(along with facing the women :eek: )
 
Boo for stupid backs Cate!

I ran about 2.5 miles yesterday. No time and just an estimate of distance. The back is sore but not currently in spasm. I still have not managed to keep my eating on track in the evenings. Trying again today.
 
Have one VERY good day Q. Just one should be all it takes. You can do it! You can run like a cheetah(well, maybe a slight exaggeration) so you can have one good eating evening, xoxo Cate
 
It's harder to eat well when you can't keep as busy, which I'm sure is what's going on with your back keeping you down! You'll get back on it once your back heals up!

Thanks Mystic! I stayed busier last night and ate better because of that.

Slow mile last night. I'm staying on some anti-inflammatory mess for a bit. Taking them in response to spasm wasn't cutting it. Hopefully I can stop taking them soon. So far so good today with food and back.

The back feels better today. I really need to get some gardening done this weekend and I'm hoping it can hold up. Nothing in gardening is easy on the back. I bought a whole flat of veggies yesterday and they would like to be in the ground soon.

Just a mile yesterday for my run.
 
That's good that you are on the mend! Don't push it too much gardening, don't want to be back at square one!
