it's 2 am and I have just compleated my project. 9 am is my presentation. This deadline got very ugly and I have filled myself with frustration candy so I barely can lie down. If I am lucky I can get 3,5 hours of sleep.
When I am stressed I am eating the frustration. Buhu I am having such a hard time, here have this huge bag of chocolate and pretend everything is fine Clarissa.
Every time I have big deadlines and feel like an ant between two logs I either eat like crazy or get headaches from hell. Amazingly I REALLY forget my situation and after the binge I can walk around for hours not doing anything (useful) - and end up working half the night.

The presentation went well. Now I am burned out and will enjoy having the rest of the day off.
Am very tired and in two hours I am going to fetch four children and entertain and feed them. Cannot wait for them to go to bed. :blushing:
I will write an evaluation on what, who and why happened yesterday. It was a good thing actually, finally I admitted it, and became aware of, that I eat of pity to myself in specific situations.
Back on track. Next week will be easy and with flex hour possibility.
 
I can totally relate to your eating habits. I find that I'm at my worst when I'm either really stressed or sad. For so many years food was a constant source of comfort when nobody else was there. It's hard to break that cycle. Once you realize it though, as you have, you can work on breaking it. It's hard at first, but it will get easier with time.

Just biked 10 km and bought a large pile of vegetables. I aim to relax and enjoy the rest of the day on the couch!

If anyone deserves a rest it is you. What veggies did you get? Hope they weren't heavy ones like spuds, avocados and aubergines. Just nice salad leaves and things like that
 
Haven't forgotten about my diary. Have/had presentations three days in a row (friday, today and tomorrow) + had the family over for dinner Saturday and took the kids swimming Sunday.
The kids were supposed to spend all this week at their father's but he called yesterday and said that he only can have them from Thuesday morning to Thursday.
Things are yery busy and did not count calories during the weekend.
I get back to you veggies Dumpy.

Finished my third presentation at noon and went by the postal office on my way home, picked up three heavy packaged + groceries, nearly haven't made it to my bike trailer :ack2: And after carrying all the bags and boxes up the stairs I went down to the basement to book the laundry room and to pump the girl's bike. Every muscle in my body was shaking at this point (got up at 3.30 am to finish my presentation and was too busy to have breakfast)

Well now I have about a small mountain of laundry in the hallway and my bathing suit is at the bottom. I have to spend the next couple of hours doing laundry and other chores that have been neglected for a week. Need to get everything done to start fresh in the morning.

Thought about going swimming this evening but I will grant myself the oppotunity to get on top of things again - and calorie counting starts first thing in the morning.
These next two weeks will be pretty calm. I need that for sure.

I prefer most my veggies raw Dumpy and I manily use these, just clean them and keep them in bags or boxes ready to eat. A few of them, mostly the celeriac and savoy cabbage are being cooked.
Love grated vegetables with vinaigrette. Potatoes I eat less than once a week, and always boiled.

radishes, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, carrots, cauliflower, savoy cabbage, zucchini, avocado, mushrooms, brussel sprouts, celeriac, ruccola, romaine salad leaves (the one for ceasar salad) and spinach
 
The packages was my gluten free food itmes, they're half price on the internet. Nice I was almost out of flours and grains. -And the boy's birthday gift from his grandparents, both he and I are up for birthdays soon.
 
Got up at 5.30 and put my new music on the ipod and did my 4 km beach route. It has been a week since last walk, it took me a couple of minutes more and the last 300 m my legs felt heavy.
Wednesday = weigh day ... After Thursday's overeating and then no calorie counting since, and the only exercise has been the 10 km biking/transportation + one visit at the swimbath weight said 143,2 kg, I have gained almost 1 kg.
 
oh well, at least you know what caused the gain.
You did get up early to do your walk, so you're on back the right path, keep it up!
 
Yes I know Guideon. I overate A LOT thursday and since I didn't count the calories I have allowed myself to have mayo and nuts and just larger portions of food. Besides we were out celebrating yesterday that the three presentations went well. I had a salty dinner and a sweet dessert.
I do not think the 0,8 kg is purely fat. And I know how to get rid of them.

You can spoil yourselve once in a while, as long as you're prepared the do the little bit extra it takes to work it off again!
 
It has been an awful week where I have had to work half the night most days while still working day hours and caring for the kids afternoon and just wait around for them to go to sleep (and they have noticed my stress and been reluctant to sleep) so I could work on the presentations. I just couldn't overcome calorie counting and exercise too.
Don't even feel bad about it, I have stayed away from junkfood and have ate pretty healthy (exept Thursday) just too much. Before diet start I would have ate like 8 chocolate bars and a bag of potato chips a day at that stress level.
 
So, tomorrow is the last day of the first month of my lifechange.
Just went through my diary and can see that everything went well untill May 24., then a deadline and some presentations got to me. At least I got back on the horse as soon as the third presentation ended.
Have some unfinished business, have to set and remind myself to some goals to maintain motivation and get the stress eating and why I am fat in writing asap.
Found out yesterday that the children hardly will be at their father's all of June which will make it a bit difficult to go swimming since the swimbath mainly is open 6-8 am and 6-9 pm.
However my father is coming over later so I can go swimming this evening.

Just got back from a 5 km walk. When I started May 1. it took me at least 70 minutes, today I did that route in 55. And yesterday I put my biggest pants away, just too big, I get crazy having all that extra fabric around, like baggy pants.
It's 2 pm and so far only had 660 cals (had lunch 5 min. ago)
that will leave room for me to have a nice pineapple shake later when the children have their Friday candy.
I count cals and can eat what ever I want (I am not on a special diet like e.g. LCHF) but still candy is a soft spot and I better leave it.
The weather is suposed to be awful tomorrom, but I have already got my swim bag ready and put everyones rain clothes in a pile and checked with the nanny.
