Dumpy the diet disaster tries again.

Another pound off this week:hurray: I know its only 1 little pound but if I'd gained it, it would have seemed a disaster. The spuds were lovely girls and boys. I'm not guilty. If Mother Nature hadn't intended us the cheat now and again, she wouldn't have endowed us with the ability to be sneaky now and then would she?

People who lose pounds can only be innocent ;) Losing a pound or gaining it makes a difference of two pounds so congratulations!

Our city was on the news yesterday. It was the hottest place in Britain. They didn't need to tell me, I was melting by 8am

Poor you! I really don´t need high temperatures... On the other hand: I get less hungry when it´s hot and sometimes I really do feel like I´m melting - or at least like the weight comes off more easily when it´s hot. Which is what I tell myself every time I get into the car (which tends to stand in the sun for an hour inbetween clients and does not have airconditioning). And then I feel better :)

Hey D, Congrats on the loss.
I'm still waiting on my potatoes to grow. I was weeding the garden on Sat and accidently uncovered a couple of them, and they were just big enough to be a little bigger than a golf ball. Won't be long before I'll be digging some up to eat.

I shall be off line for quite some time. My husband is ill. Just leaving for the hospital now to get an update. He had emergency surgery this morning. Suddenly my weight doesn't seem that important any more

Sorry to hear that D. Yes there are things that are more important at times, and now is the time you need to be with your husband.
I hope he has a speedy recovery and all will be well.
See you when you get back..... AND YOU BETTER COME BACK!!!!! LOL

So sorry to hear that D. Sending you & your husband lots of love from Tasmania. Look after yourself too, xoxo Cate

Hope all is going well with you and your husband D.
I just wanted to check in to see how things were going.

We are all praying for you..

YOOOOO HOOOO

The dumpster is back and, more importantly, so is my husband. I will never again grumble about his snoring... It is so nice to hear it. Our house was too tidy and too quiet without him. It wasn't the sinister big C which they were querying was the cause of his collapse, but a ruptured appendix and peritonitis. I said right at the start I thought it was appendicitis, but the doctors just looked at me with pity and assumed I was blocking things out. All I could think was that 'mother nature' was picking my family off one by one: Our daughter in 2010, my mum last January and now my husband. From trying to cut down what I was eating I went to not eating at all and having a mug of soup now and again when I thought about it.
Thank you all for your lovely messages. I haven't logged in here at all until today so please don't think I was ignoring you
.

Anyway, as you can see from my ticker I have lost 2 stones and on my way to the third.

Hey Dumpy, so glad to hear your husband is ok. A ruptured appendix is no picknick either but since they caught it in time it´s a lot better than the alternative... Good to have you back.

Awww I can't tell you how nice it is to talk to you again. I'll catch up with your diaries asap. Grey ghost hunter and Cate OK are they?

I'm good D & very relieved to hear that your husband is home & is OK! A woman I used to go bush walking with ,once told me to be grateful that my husband snored as it is much better than not having him there. I Her husband had died of Cancer the year before. I always remember it & don't get AS annoyed with him when he snores.
1 stone to go? Nice! Sending you a big hug of relief. I am starting to feel a lot more mortal these days. We must make the most of each & every day! Much love, xo Cate
