I've never thought of it this way, but its very true isn't it? It's not the bread which is bad, it's the things you put on it which do the damage.
I'm not a big fan of bacon, the way I like is grilled until it is crisp and I've just found out that when it is cooked like this, it is far healthier because a good amount of the fat comes out... not all of it, it is still on the 'be careful list' but never the less, very nice
