You may be right! I haven't bought anything myself because I have clothes that fitted my slow progression to unclassifiable size. am now wearing my size 12 jeans but they are a bit of a squeeze. If I could just stop deviating I may be in those sass and bides in about 4-5 weeks (size 11) but its so hard I don't know how to explain it, its like my stomach has taken over my mind and I am over eating cohen food and cooking aaaahh!! I know this is a hiccup, I am am am going to start with a clean slait on the weekend (its hard going through the craving and headaches when ur working) I need you guys more than ever right now!

Well having a crap of a day here. Finally got my new scales and either I've put on weight or my last analogue scales were duds.. cause it would seem I've only lost 5kg in 3 weeks :( VERY not happy today :(

Only 5KG in 3 weeks! I am amazed that you find this disappointing! What are your expectations here? This means you could lose 6 or 7 KG this month...tears of joy in my opinion! why tears of disappointment?

Have a look at the supermarket next time when you are in the pork section, have a look or just imagine what a huge 5KG lump of pig fat looks like! Now imagine that that huge lump of fat is today no longer found in your bottom, tummy or thighs (what point do you hate the most?) !!!! A 5KG chunk of fat is vast, huge, enormous, gigantic piece of crap that you dont need in your body and 3 cheers that it is gone forever and will never return to live again in your butt. Well done for kicking it out of your body forever!

Next question, if you could roll back the clock three weeks ago and you knew today that you would only have lost 5KG, would you have taken the course of action and followed the Cohen diet as you did or would you have thrown in the towel and ran to Pizza hut for an all you can eat night or sucked the oily crumbs, skin and fat right off a 24 piece budget bucket of KFC?

You are doing so so well, a fantastic job infact; the results speak volumes for your self control and planning and Cohen diet plan.

Thanks Less Fatty.. that picture of the pork did the trick... I'm sitting here laughing at the thought hehe.

No wouldn't have run off to those greasy things.. my downfall is chocolate, which remarkably I've not craved until today, and that was purely emotional.

I expected to lose at least 2kg a week as I have soooooo much to lose, have made radical changes to what I fuel my body with.

I think it may be time to Cohens and Curves together now...

Don't think I'm ungrateful for the 5kg loss... sheesh 5kg's is better than nothing, just disappointed is all.. but now I have the pork perspective I'm seriously okay.

God love ya less fatty who woulda thought thinking of 5kg of pork lard would be the kick in the butt I needed lol THANK YOU xxoo

Hi Guys and Gals,
We all seem to have the same thread going around at the moment, not losing the expected amount, but by who's expectations are we really going by? I have been having that "little bit here and there won't hurt" syndrome. But gee, who are we kidding. I have got to 73kg's (from 93) and cann't seem to shift the remainder ( I would like to get to 65kg's). But by reading all the post's it seems to get us all motivated again.
I have bought some new clothes and now all my friends keep saying about time you got out of those baggy clothes. I feel really good too but have decided that by buying a size too small then I still feel fat and that will motivate me into loosing that 8 or so kg's.

Bright Yellow - I love the mango smoothies but I add about 1/4 or 1/2 cup diet sprite to it and don't feel it needs sweetening. Must admit it does take a couple of tries to get over the fact that it's not as sweet as we would normally like. I cann't buy the Vaalia yoghurt in the large tubs so have found that Browns is the next best thing.

New Life - I know exactly how you feel as I cann't seem to shift the last 8 or so kg's but maybe what we all need is not so much WILL power but maybe WONT power, I WONT have this, I WONT have that. See if that works better for you. Also maybe stop thinking that you have lost 54kgs (WOW) but that you are a slim person who has 7kgs to loose and you are just starting out on your diet. Take a step back and then refocus. I find that once people start noticing your weight loss that we all fall into a false sense of wellbeing and think "Gee I'm good". It's really only ourselves we have to blame if we deviate but it's also only ourselves we have to please by doing the right things. Gee I think I may have just motivated myself. HeHe.

Ichooselife - Thanks for Mary's story. I can relate to the end result. My hips used to wake me up 6 or 7 times a night, I found it hard to bend my knee's to get into the bottom cupboards, walking long distances, climbing stairs and getting breathless. But after losing 23kgs I no longer wake during the night, can get into the back of the cupboards, walk for ages and don't bet puffed out. Over the last 3 days I have (with the help of hubby) loaded 2500 x 3.5kg paving bricks onto our ute and then offloaded and stacked them without even the smallest twinge and feel great. I wouldn't have been able to do that 20 odd kg's ago.

To everyone who is struggling at the moment, maybe we should be concentrating on the positives and not the negatives. As the old saying goes "if you cann't say anything nice then don't say anything at all" by that I mean, don't beat yourself up if you're not living up to everyone elses expectations, just do the best that you can for YOURSELF.

That's enough dribble for tonight, cheers and keep up the good work.

Hi Mermaid

If you're having headaches that is to do with dehydration you're probably lacking in fluid. Be proud of your achievements so far it's brilliant don't lose faith. Sam:)

Hi dreamer sorry i thought water could have been the probelem i remember with tony ferguson shakes they incouraged water intake because of the terrible headaches you get from the first week of detox.

I admit to being a newbie and I am here to learn. So thanks for the info.

Regards
Sam:)

Hey everyone

Dreamer, Nans and heavanly lamb thankyou so much for your support. I am starting again tomorrw and going full throttle until xmas when I will allow myself a sensible day off. I would have started today, but couldn't bring myself to eat as I slept until 1pm and had major crisis today I know excuses excuses and it is even worse to not eat anything then eat something not cohens. I know what you mean heavanlylamb with the sizes. As I said I am sqeezing in size 12 jeans yet because it is so hot today in adeliade, I decided to go and get a skirt or shorts as all mine are size 8-10. Well, hello hissy fit! I couldn't get a size 16 over my hips and was devastated. I cried so much cos I have lost 16kgs surely I am not still a size 18?! anyway I'm over it, I should know that shopping always ends in tears for me, so I am refusing to shop now until I am at goal weight, that way something is bound to fit eh? Sorry for the negativity guys, you are all doing so well and all I can do it complain. I am working thru it an assure you I will get it together soon (I hope)
Nans have you just started the program? its true that detox gives headaches, we have to drink 2-3 litres of water a day for the detox, and also to help weight loss. Welcome and good luck with everything!

WOW Lonniecee that is amazing.... you have inspired me.... When I've lost 20kg I'll post a before and after too. Only 15kg to go then lol

Thank you for sharing, it's one thing to read of losses it's another to actually see the huge difference those losses make in the physical.

Thanks for your comments ICL. I'm not gonna say it has been easy nor has it been hard but it is the best result with little effort. My major excercise has been pushing myself away from the table and shutting pantry cupboard doors. LOL.

Nans we know that you had the best of intentions in suggesting the increase of fluids to Mermaid-sister :). Good luck with the programme when you start.

Dr Cohen's excellent programme!

Hi,
I have been on the Cohen programme since 1st April (thought that was an appropriate starting point)! My starting weight was 101kgs and currently I am 68kgs and feeling and looking great!

I am 65 years of age and have spent the last 40 years doing every available weight loss programme, with good results but each and every time I regained the weight. I have enjoyed every day of my Cohen's journey and feel confident I will continue eating this way forever. Can't imagine ever eating bread again, I so enjoy the cracked pepper vita weats.

My goal weight is 60-63kgs.

I have read quite a few threads on the forum and learnt I shouldn't have been eating grated mozarella because of flour content, so thanks for that info. I would encourage anyone having difficulties sticking to the programme to perservere as it really does work!

Wow, Lesley what an achievement! I am really enjoying the process of the Cohen's weightloss, I've had a few weeks of frustration where the loss has been really slow, but things are going great again so it isn't hard to be positve about such a great programme.

Had my clinic appt yesterday... with mixed results.
My last blood test showed a deviation, which could well have been the result of an emotional eating frenzy several days before..
My weight loss has been pretty slow... only one kilo per week.

But, my measurements were amazing! I lost 21cm in 3 weeks. I've never lost more than 15cm in a month before... and that was only 3 weeks. I lost 4cm from my bust and 5.5cm from my waist, and 5.5 from my hips as well! So, that made me feel better....... I wonder if this is also occuring for some others here who are feeling that their weight loss on the scales has stalled. My waist measurement has fallen below a metre for the first time!! which is another milestone!

I've attached some before and during photos. This is day one, and 4 months down the track.. 28kg and half way there.

Heavenlylamb great going. I too found cms were moving but little movement on the scales. Now the kgs have kicked on in again and are going down, my measurement day is tomorrow as is my 12 week blood test and weigh in, so we'll see how that goes.

LONNIECEE & HEAVENLYLAMB - Fantabulous effort girls!!!!!!!!! Such amazing work you have both done. Your achievements are astounding and both must be so proud of yourselves. This truly is the most amazing weight loss system. Im so glad I found it. You are both an inspiration to us all. Thank you for being brave and showing us your progress.;)

Its my 2nd weigh in tomorrow and hoping results will be great, which Im sure they will be.

Keep up the fantastic work everyone and to the girls that are having a tuff time at the moment, hang in there and remember your final goal. It may take a little longer for you if youre deviating, but I know you will get there in the end. Everyones life throws different challenges and hurdles and some we can clear and others we kinda have to crawl over, but all in all, you WILL DO IT!!!!!!!!!:D

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and feeling a lot lighter.:p

Cheers

exercise

I went for a swim this morning... a serious lap swimming time. I haven't done that for around 18 months.
i really enjoy it. I love that feeling of having your lungs expanded!
Despite having done no exercise for 18 months, I could swim the same number of laps as previously, when I weighed more, but exercised regularly. (around 600m)
I found freestyle easier, without a big tummy to get in the way, but backstroke more difficult, because I'm not as bouyant.
I could really feel my muscles, particularly my tummy muscles. One of the interesting thing about Cohens is that despite not exercising, I feel like my muscles have toned up. WHen I lost weight without exercising before, I just felt flabby.
So, I might start going for a swim more regularly, and just monitor whether it affects my hunger levels. I didn't feel hungry today, but I did leave swimming with a sense of power, strength and control that I didn't have when I woke up this morning!!
and I looked much better in bathers than I had 18 months ago!!!!!!!!

Thanks for support
