Dreamer: I tried to do some light walking last month during my lunch hour(think should be considered as exercise) and it seem tat it is making me hungrier and also increase my craving for carb(I was constantly craving chocolates, bread and other stachy stuff). And as a result, I deviate a few times during last month and my weight loss for the month was the lowest. I think maybe if you really wanna start exercising, maybe can do it before you sleep? (So tat you have no chance of getting hungrier and deviating as a result?)

missymums wow that's so excellent. I too lost a lot in my first week, whihc was last week, and the 2nd week was about half, but be it water with toxins or fat with toxins, I'm happy... I'm shrinking as are you. YOU GO GIRL... brilliant effort :)

Just made a chicken stirfry alaCOHENS and for the kids and hubby added a very small portion of brown rice and they are LOVING IT... me I have to wait 54 more minutes before I can eat but it sure does smell darn nice :)

So my consultant is going to be so angry at me on friday.....I started this month at 76.2kg and i think I will be that again on my weigh in on friday....wooops i lost a few kilos but gained it back on a weeks holidays. Oh well Im back on the wagon now so what can ya do eh.

I have a question....does anyone know if we can have those Robert Timm coffee bags? theyre a bit yummer than instant coffee and I would like to have some at work if theyre approved

Also other news...im officially a size 14....I thought I was not there yet, as I have one pari of size 14 pants but everything else is bigger. Anyways I just bought some pants from Kmart and theyre size 14......although hows this....I tried on 3 pairs of size 14 pants....first pait wouldnt do up in waist but were too baggy in thighs, second were fine at waist but thigs were tight tight tight...and third were perfect so i got them, but how annoying is that - three totally the same and totally different sizes....
 
I started at 120.6kg and aiming for 57kg..... I'm hoping to keep maintain losing at least 3kg a week until I get to 90, cause I realise as you get smaller less falls off because well.... you're smaller.

Bring on us fit and 90 for Christmas :)
 
Hi Ladies and gents,

Going well the body is almost bruise free and i'm sick of my BA in its boot! Sorry had to vent the doctor told me it will take a while but this feels like forever. I know and can hear you all saying just be patience but i haven't got anymore left. I think i lost it with my last 6kg weight loss, so it anyone has some to spare please send it to me:p :rolleyes:

8-2 much thanks for the kind words and yes balancing on a scales is really hard to do but i need the motivation cause i have lost my patience.Wow 19kgs impressed. Good luck with the award dinner hope you win and are able to stay away from the shampers.

Wildskyz I know what you mean about people responding to you and about the blood test. My October test can back with a deviation marked and it has rocked me completely. I don't think if would if i had actually deviated but being 110% committed to this program it is like someone has hit you in the face with a wet fish. So it you know in your heart that you have not deviated and as Dreamer commented check your herbs and spices as the makers stick in just about anything to make you the bulk, just ignore the silly woman on the phone and continue to do what you are doing. Your weight loss has been amazing so keep it up. PS ~ you are in Melbourne, wondering if you would like to meet for a cuppa? OH i nearly forgot i really really really really reaally jealous Billy Joel oh how my heart pines!!!!!!!!!!! But glad you enjoyed his concert and had a great time.

Ichooselife and Dreamer on the subject of exercise Cohens doesn't recommend exercise for the first 2 month after that you need to listen to your own body. Exercising before breakfast is one of the best options as you are not using the food you eat to burn as fuel. Before my BA i was walking 1km on my treadmill at a speed of 6 (brisk walking pace close to running) this would take 15-20min then jump on my bike and do 10mins at a moderate speed. I didn't feel hungry but i did drink a lot of water. After cooling down I would have breakfast as normal. If helped me to feel great so all i can suggest is try it if it make you feel hungry stop or change your exercise to something less energy demanding like stretching and toning exercises (curves is great for that type of exercise), core muscle strengthing (deep tummy muscles and pelvic floor) or just walking(casual to moderate pace). Good luck ladies let me know how it is going.

Ichoose life - by the way congratulations on your weight loss you are doing wonderfully well. It took me 4 weeks to loss that much. Keep it up girl you are an inspiration. I like your goal of being 90 for christmas just be mindful that your weightloss might slow down before than mind did and i was really upset about it (sorry if that sounded negative, i know you will get there). My prayers are with you for your goal at christmas - mind is to be in the 70's (lower end really)

Bright Yellow - welcome aboard to the rest of your life. This program is amazing, just take each day as it come and resist temptation with all your heart and soul as the program work better that way. Good luck and post frequently as you well get the support and love you need here to get though the rough times and the praise and elation at your achievement to motivate you to soldier on your way to a beautiful looking you.

Hi Dreamer , Curves is pretty tame. They don't tailor any specific program for you as you just do the circuit. There are about 10 -12 machines with a station in between that you just jog on the spot or do anything you want to. You go at your own pace. When I first started I would go really slowly, but built up to quite a good pace. I'm not going any more (probably another reason for not maintaining my weight) as I thought that it wasn't doing much for me. In hindsight, I think it probably was doing plenty for me and I should have kept it up.
Jewls, would love to meet up for that coffee, but unfortunately I'm in Sydney. Seems most people are in either Melbourne or Queensland.

I used to go to Healthy Inspirations, which is the same as Curves. I lost almost 10kg and was really quite fit, however i did get really bored going round and round the same thing all the time. i think a early morning walk is heaps nicer and stimulates the brain as well as the body!

This is kinda silly but MY KNICKERS FIT!!! (sorry to all the guys out there) i've had this really nice sexy pair for ages just sitting in the drawer and this morning i thought i'd just try them on..... and they are comfortable! no bulging gross muffin top over flow! how cool! I'm absolutely stoked!

Am going to catch up with all my family overseas next month and they are all trying to organise dinners and nights out (consuming vast amounts of food) so that's going to be a mission! Normally when i go there i pig out on all the yummy stuff you can't get in the land of OZ and come back at least 2-5kg heavier. AAAHHHHH!!!! my mum has told me that she's going to make sure that i stick to my diet, and that she'll not let any yummies in the house while i'm there.... so that will help..... but it'll still be an effort. I'm going to take my digital scales (for my food) with me every where!

Jewls glad the Comfrey Cream is working - it's awesome stuff. hopefully you'll be out and about soon. i had a friend who got kicked by a horse and broke her leg just above her ankle...She had a thigh high cast for almost 6 months and then a knee high for another 4!! OUCH we'd go out clubbing and took her everywhere in a wheel chair...sometimes rather inebriated he he he

I have 4.5 to go and its so slow and have been deviating. however, hopefully that wont happen from today. i feel renewed determination, given my friend, SUNSHINE has nearly finished her "refeed" program (talk about complicated...)

I have a question....does anyone know if we can have those Robert Timm coffee bags? theyre a bit yummer than instant coffee and I would like to have some at work if theyre approved.

Pinksultana - I hope those coffee bags are approved as I consumed many a coffee using Robert Timms coffee bags whilst on my program. :rolleyes: I don't see why they wouldn't be allowed...they are just coffee, but remember, we are limited to 3 per day - otherwise it is de-caff.

Hi, everyone - All doing great!

I got back from my week break and put on 4-5 kg. I was sooo good until a couple of days before! Oh well, at least I didn't mess up the whole week. Anyway that was 2 weeks ago and after that I weighed 87kg now today I made it to the 70's!! I'm so happy! I can see the finish line!! I just know christmas will be great! Dr cohen goes on hoilday over christmas so I'm not sure what will happen with my refeed. My consultant said that they'd figure something out! I just want to be at my goal before christmas!! What a journey - but I'd do it again in a second - very worth while!

Mitmary - I did the same thing arghh 4 kilos heavier...but back on the bandwagon we go. I suppose i see at least deviating on holidays isnt like normal life....theres no way I would have let myself eat the stuff i did at home, and now im back home i know my boundaries again so thats good. hmmm i still have a lot to learn before i finish this program though, to make sure i dont stuff it all up when im finished.

Thanks less of me...ill ask my consultanat tommorrow, but im glad to know you had these coffee bags and it didnt affect your losses....

I am soooooooooooooooooo bored at work....Ive even counted down the work days I have left until im on my christmas break...19 days of work to go...woohooo....thats because I work 3.5 days a week tho....
 
When to order the "Refeed"

I am probably getting a bit ahead of myself here, but.....

How far out from your set goal will/have you ordered your "refeed"? When do you think is a good time to order it? How long does it take to arrive? and for you lovely ladies/gents who have done the "refeed"- how long does it take?

Sorry about all of the questions!;)

The reason I ask is - I am about 5kg off of the top of my goal band and hopefully this will have come off before my 8 week check up is due. So I may not be going back to see my Cohen's Rep. before the numbers come up! (or down as the case maybe!:) )

Well my cohens goal is 61 -64 and i cant order refeed till at least 64, they told me it takes anywhere from 14 - 28 days to complete.

herm - ordering refeed.

I think it depends where you are maybe. We don't have a clinic here. I have to ring my consultant up when I am 2-3 kg off my top goal weight. I'd just give them a ring to find out. Hasn't your consultant showed you an example of a refeed? The last time I was there He showed me.

Well done - your almost there!! what a great feeling!! Hope to be there soon too!

I did not have too much to lose and I had my 4 week weighin on Monday and if I lose the same amount this month, I will nearly be/hopefully be at goal.

I have not seen (I don't think) an example of the refeed, would like to though!

Di78 - thanks for your reply - you have also done an amazing job - I thought that Sue said we should let her know when we were a couple of kilos off the top goal range (exactly as per what Mitmary said) because she said we would get the crazy hunger feeling when we get near goal!

Hi everyone wow some of the weight losses are so inspiring, can I ask if any of the girls who had 50 or 60 kilos to lose have any excess skin that really worries me . My friend lost 5 dress sizes and is 25 years younger and ended up with this belly she had to tuck into her trousers she was so depressed she wished she never lost the weight.

Myshy and rjm my son in law is in remission still and feeling great seeing they classed him as terminal he has just been accepted into a trial of this new drug which will hopefully keep him there and we still pray for him he hopes he will see 40 in 3 years time for the sake of my grandchildren we hope so.

My day went really well until I went to Maccas but I had their chicken salad and a diet coke, its hard to take the daughter and grandkids and not eat with them. Do you think the salads are that bad no dressing and I picked the tiny amount of carrot off and their was only 3 cherry tomatoes I couldnt see for once they would hurt.

I have made my mind up that I am not going to break my diet whilst I am up at my ex hubbys place have been good and I am not going to blow it.

Everyone have a very good weekend and will catch up on Monday and will see what I way when I get back or maybe I shouldnt weigh myself till the end of my second week which is wednesday morning will think about it.
