bluehats diary

so i get a chance to shop tomorrow
my plan is to get some of the cheaper soups before they go up in price
and start to get the cheaper cans of vegetables while they are
under 2 bucks a can so when the soups go up
i have the veggies to eat

i weighed again
it appears as though ive gained 4 pounds back
of the loss from mouth pain
im not really freaking yet
as i know weight can fluculate

went to the store
alot of empty shelves
but dollar junk bags well stocked
couldnt get what i could afford
had to get a few bags of junk
very sad because of this
but
my family found some slices of cheese on sale that i didint see

giving up
i cant expect to do any better
without the means to
have already cut back all corners that i could
whatever happens happens
i have no control
i have the desire the knowledge
but why
im unable to eat better
its better to just accept this
and let whatever happens happen
very discouraging

im still around anyway
hoping i kept some of my
recent weight loss off
but afraid to find out
its weird because i keep
reading and was even told
by drs when i had my own
that losing weight will help
improve my health conditions
but it hasnt

i guess we keep going tho

my foods mostly been salt cans
but i finally bought some cottage cheese
tried out some soft noodle dishes
but gums not ready yet

Sorry to hear your gums are still giving you such trouble: that really sucks. How much weight did your doctors tell you to lose for a noticeable difference? I'm always apprehensive to give specific numbers because so many different things play a role in health and healing but having a general idea might be helpful.

going to try 2 boiled eggs chopped tiny
and mix them in mayo with the hope that
they are soft enough
along with a can of mashed veggies

none of them ever say how much
im kinda glad they dont though
as it freaks me out a bit
and i begin being more drastic
in trying to lose weight

how does a person know they never
ate too much when they dont feel full or
like they ate anything?

the scale can fluctuate day to day
our clothing might be "stretchy pants"

how do you know you never ate too much?
i mean meal to meal
(not overall in general)

I don't think you can know if you never ate too much. But counting calories consistently and keeping a long-term weight graph will help. Yes, the graph will show fluctuations, but if you run a smooth line through the cloud of measurement dots you will see whether your average is going up, down, or staying the same. Same with your daily calories: average them out. Compare the change in weight over, say, a month (or one cycle if you deal with female reproductive hormones) and tweak your average calorie intake accordingly for the next month/cycle. It's not easy but it is simple.

well 2 things today

i took a chance and got on the scales
and its down by another 5 pounds
i cant recall when i last weighed but
at least its less

beginning to believe that weight loss doesnt help
improving health issues
it has never ever helped mine
even being thin and highly active
o well i guess not everything they say
is true for everyone

Weight loss will be less strain on your body, blue. How is your weight compared to when you first started here?

Sometimes, depending on your starting weight, you have to get down quite a bit to notice a difference. And sometimes it really doesn't make a big difference. Gaining more excess weight almost always does make a (negative) difference, sadly...
Well done on losing those 5 pounds though!

Soooo
I've kept the most previous 30 pound loss
off so far for a few months
I think anyway
I've kinda lost track of it
All I know is that about a year ago I weighed
30 pounds more so I guess that's how long?
Anyway good to have done that
It will be the first time in memory that
I have

I'm a bit confused: did you lose 30 pounds or did you gain a lot?
Recently due to the teeth infections and all
Of them being extracted I lost 30 pounds
But also even with that loss I have still gained
Alot of weight since starting here
So I am still more than I began with
I guess the 30 pound loss doesn't put me
Ahead of anywhere as I had gained quite a lot
Idk if I explained that right

Now I understand. I'm so sorry to hear that. Your circumstances really are exceptionally difficult. The only silver lining I see is that the past year has proven that you can lose weight and keep it off; it just requires being consistent for a longer time than most other people. Kind of the same as people with PCOS and endometriosis.
