BikiniBound's Diary

This is why I live in the "mid-south", not too hot most of the summer and we sure as hell NEVER get weather below 15F-25F.

Sorry about the head cold, hope you get to feeling better soon!

Here's a nice rub down for TLD!!

Well even in the Northeast the weather is nothing like that! We're usually in the mid-40s during the winter which really isn't too bad. I still can't wait for the summer and my beach weekends to resume.

Anyway, its so exciting that yall are ready to move. What are you doing for furnishings? Buying new stuff or do you have things? My sister found great furniture in FL on craigslist, though they have lots of moving in and out so maybe have better stuff. She got a beautiful bedroom set for very cheap and it was like new and of very high quality. Can't wait to see the pics!

Feel better star!

Damn, there's a Fourth Dimension now? Shit, where have I been :willy_nilly:

YAY for Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry about the weather and your swful cold--feel better soon!

We may not be moving in this weekend after all. Check out the weather forecast:
Thursday night, snowfall will become heavy just prior to daybreak and could accumulate 2-5 inches by 7 AM. Some 'thundersnow' is possible - thunder and lightning with the snow at times. Temperatures will hold steady overnight or rise into the low to mid 20s north, mid 20s south, and mid to upper 20s along the lakeshore. Winds will increase from the east-northeast after midnight to 10-20 mph, leading to blowing snow with reduced visibilities prior to daybreak. Wind chills will be in the single numbers to low teens.

Friday, heavy snow will occur along with some 'thundersnow', especially for the morning drive, when snow will fall at a rate of 1-3 inches per hour between 6 and 10 AM. Winds will increase from the northeast to 15-25 mph, reducing visibilities to near zero at times with considerable blowing snow and some drifting snow on the north-south roads. Wind chills will be in the low to mid teens. Temperatures will reach the mid to upper 20s inland and around 30° along the lakeshore. Snowfall will begin to taper off during the afternoon but considerable blowing and drifting snow will continue. Snowfall totals by late afternoon could reach between 7-14 inches centered along the I-96/I-196 corridor.

Friday night will be cloudy and colder with temperatures dipping into the mid to upper teens. Winds will diminish from the northeast to 5-10 mph inland and 6-12 mph along the lakeshore. Wind chills will be in the single numbers to near 10°.

Saturday will feature cloudy skies with temperatures climbing into the low to mid 20s. Winds will increase from the east to 10-20 mph during the afternoon. Wind chills will be around 10-15°.

Snow will develop Saturday evening and last through Sunday. Preliminary snowfall totals may be between 5-10 inches by Sunday night. Lake-effect snow takes over and lasts into Monday with additional accumulations possible.

More snow is likely late Tuesday afternoon/evening through Christmas Eve Day with additional accumulations possible.

Lake-effect snow showers are likely on Christmas Day.

So we could end up with 2ft of snow before the weekend is over. :ack2:

Karl--with this forecast we may lose power, too--but we have no generator. :( Hope yours comes back on soon.

I highly doubt H will have school today--and I'm trying to talk my dad out of driving to work--it's 20miles one way and right through the worst of the snow. I worry about him getting home.

My cold still sucks ass and is why I'm up typing this at 4:30am...woke up in a coughing fit.

That sucks about the weather forecast.... funny, I have the same one! ;) Sucks about the cold/cough... hope ya throw a beat down on it soon... sucks about the moving thing too!... wow, there's a lot of sucking going on! Well at least we can watch the Lions ruin a perfect season! :smilielol5: :smilielol5: Wait, they suck too!!

The most important thing is that it is great that the pregnancy is going well and that you continue to get good news from all these tests. The pictures may not be as clear - but you will treasure them just the same.

I'm sorry to hear that you are full of cold. It is tough that you are so limited in what you can take for it. Good that they know the limitations though. In the past ladies took medication - totally unaware of the risks that they were taking.

I am also sorry to hear that the weather is so brutal it has put your house-move this weekend into doubt. I hope that they are wrong and you can manage to get moved. You deserve to be in your own place for christmas.

I am sure that both you and David would look fine in Amish dress.

We ended up getting a good foot of snow and H did get his snow day--even Grand Rapids Public Schools closed and they rarely do, so you know it's bad when they close..lol. Dad also stayed home from work. Now we are all stuck at home b/c the snow plower hasn't come yet (well, he came early this morning, but there is already a foot of snow in the driveway), and we're snowed in. Dad and David are currently out shovelling. :D

So far the blowing and drifting they promised hasn't started. It has actually been sunny out, which is nice.

I finally managed to get my Christmas cards done--wonder when the mail lady will come pick them up. :)

Gotta LOVE snow days!!! All you "It's so great out in sunny _________", just can't appreciate the complexities of said days!! :D :D Right there Kim?? ;)

Also, I can't beleive you passed on the easy cut and paste line I left you to do with as you pleased. Cin saw it.... :) Have a great one... good thing you're already preggers, cause you know what snow days at home can lead to!!! :D

We got a blizzard here too Kimberley. H just took the baby out to the park to play. They brought a shovel and bucket we use at the beach. Careful out there woman :D.

Stay warm and safe doll! :grouphug:

We are gonna reach 71* on C-Mas Day..

It's 32* today..

Sat. it was 71* and then at 5PM a cold front blew in and we were in the low 40's..

I want the heck out of Texas! :toetap05:

As Charlie Brown would say, *Good Grief!*

;)

Glad ya got our C-Mas Card! :)

:grouphug:

Hey dude. :)

I'm jealous! I want a blizzard.

You mean you haven't been getting this shit, too? We got another 8 inches last night and are meant to get 1-3 inches Monday, and a "significant" amount on Tuesday--I wonder how much "significant" is. :ack2:

JZ--Yeah, I don't wanna hear from other people how warm and sunny it is where they are..lol. I would be happy with 40 degree weather at this point..lmao. Normally I wouldn't care so much, but it's making moving really hard to do. Tomorrow is the only halfway decent day we'll have before xmas. I think it's going to thwart my plans of having family over on the 25th and 26th. :cuss:

Yup, I saw the Lions lost again. Yahoo has a long article about how pathetic and sad it is--Detroit in general..lol. Just one more loss for a perfect season. :D

Claudia--You must have warmer weather there than we do to take your daughter out to the park. This afternoon it was only 9F! I didn't even leave the house today.

Stacy--I'd much rather be in Texas than Michigan right now!

Nope. We haven't had more than an inch all year. Over the weekend we had freezing rain but nothing significant.

Where I live is the worse. At least it's been for the past 5 years or so. When I was a kid I remember when we'd be dumped on.

Now we're always right on the line. People to the north of us get snow but we always get rain. 33 degrees and rain. Miserable.

You can have my snow...

Got another 2 ft over the weekend from Friday night until Sunday night. Still no power leftover from the Previous Friday morning.

Kimberly and JZ, Lions baby!!! perfect season...

Sorry to hear that you haven't been able to move in yet.
It's pretty cold here too.
In fact on Sunday at work it was actually 15* Warmer! in the freezer than it was outside.
Now that is COLD!!! :ack2:
:santa:
Merry Christmas!
