Claudia--I agree girls are easier in the beginning. But a melodramatic teenage daughter would drive us both over the edge...lol. If I have a girl, I will have to teach her that if she feels the need for drama, to join her school's drama program..lmao.
Oh, I think you gaining 100lbs is an exaggeration, isn't it? I can't imagine tiny you sporting all that extra weight. If I remember right, it was more like 60-70lbs wasn't it?
Cerella--Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't think anyone's body
needs to gain 70+lbs during a pregnancy..lol. Even super thin supermodels are encouraged to keep the gains to around 45lbs. I just think lots of women put on extra weight b/c they are always HUNGRY!! I know I am.
Apparently Claudia's a mindreader, sensing we were thinking about her.
Val--If I gain 25lbs I'll be pissed..lol. My OB said to keep it between 10-15lbs, but I will be okay with gaining 20--and not a damn lb more!!

Today's weight was down 2lbs from yesterday (I'm pretty sure that was due to me not drinking enough water the previous day), so that makes my gain so far 13lbs.
Margaret--Glad to see you here again.

Thanks for the kind words. I think I sometimes set tough goals for myself, but I need to be strict or I will gain way too much weight. And at my age and already being overweight, gaining too much puts my health and my baby's in jeopardy--and I'm just not willing to do that. I want this pregnancy/delivery to go as smoothly as possible, and in order to keep it going as smoothly as it has, I know I need to keep eating right and exercising.
Winter is here. We got about 5 inches of snow between Sun pm and Mon. It is still on the ground, and temps cooled off last night. The high today is only 25F/-4C and tonight's low is 17F/-8C.
