BikiniBound's Diary

Sam--Yes, I am so relieved Henry's okay! I'd better not get my hopes up too high about moving in this weekend. I'm sure something will happen to thwart my plans as usual.

Cita--The floor is laminate maple everywhere but the bathroom and laundry room which are ceramic tile. H and his buddy did all of it themselves--that's why it took so long..lol. I'll take pics once we're settled in. There is still trim that needs to be put up, so I'll take pics once that is done.

We have no cute names for the baby. One of my friends called her first daughter Wormy...lol. Thankfully for her daughter, it didn't stick after birth..lmao.

Karl--Yes, be thankful you don't have that much snow yet. We got tons of the white stuff over the weekend, and it's meant to snow a little bit tonight and tomorrow, too. 2-4 inches is the forecast. :ack2: Being near Lake MIchigan, we tend to get a lot of lake effect snow.

Yarm--Thanks! I have to say today I'm happier about Henry being back than the big move..lol. It's funny how we grow to love our pets so much. I spent all day worrying about him. I'm thinking he might have been off trying to get laid--naughty thing! Perhaps we'd better get him neutered tout de suite! :D

Hey Kimberly wanted to drop by and say BE CAREFULL out there with all that snow, ice and crap lol gotta protect the lil one! So did I read correctly a "GIRIL" :)??Have a nice weekend Tammy

Hey there

That sucks about getting stuck in the drive way...and how crappy of her to say she will plow it and never did!

It is good to hear about the place coming together and abt the meowing at your door:)Im happy to hear Henry was with you when typing this:)

This weekend, my goodness:)Are you excited?

The floors sound nice! That's just like at my sister's house. I gave them money to get the floor, the same type as yours, and her H and her MIL (lol) put down the floor. Last time I was there the trim still wasn't on so let's hope for the best with you hehe.

I agree, do take care on all that ice and snow girlie! Take it very S-L-O-W.

Nope, we didn't find out the sex. I was just speculating based on the baby's heart rates thus far. :)

We have lots of snow and ice here, and I've been careful. I rarely fall in the winter, but I've been extra careful anyway.

Cerella--Not so sure about moving in this weekend now. H is pissing me off! :cuss: Last night he said he didn't want to move in until the trim was up!! WTF?? If that's the case, we'll be lucky to move in before I give birth. I don't care if I have to hire a goddamn moving truck and do it all myself. We are moving in this weekend!! :reddevil:

Claudia--That was nice of you to help them out with the flooring. Well, I have to paint the trim before it can be put up..lol. Actually, there is already trim up, but we need to put 3/4" trim down at the base to cover the gaps.

The appliances came yesterday. :hurray: But my gas stove isn't hooked up, nor is my microwave installed (Lowes doesn't hook up gas appliances in Michigan b/c of some law. You have to be certified and they are in the process of getting it. And they charge $144 to install the microwave!). So now I have to get someone to do it for me. :cuss: I knew this when I bought them, though, so it's not as though I just found out.

I'm going to the chiropractor this afternoon and then getting an hour long massage. :hurray: My lower back was pretty sore yesterday from the little bit of snow shovelling I did when stuck in the snow Monday.

2nd childbirth class is tonight.

I dont blame you for being keen to move in this weekend - trim or not. It is great that you have finally got to this stage.

It is also great that Henry came home. Little animals have a way of working their way into our affections.

I am pleased that you are focusing on consequences and managing to retain control.

That snow of yours sounds horrible. We are having nothing like that but I am not taking too well to having to walk outside.

Rod and I both laughed at your Amish quip. Something to bear in mind - LOL - not everyone wants to go through life with a biblical quote as a christian name (says the niece of Alpha Omega).

Margaret--Don't worry..lol..the Amish tend to name their children names like Sadie Mae, Hannah, Annie, Caleb, Aaron and Daniel. No Alphas or Omegas..lol. :)

Can't you just see David and me in Amish dress?

I wouldn't dream of walking outside in this weather..lol. At least you have your treadmill if it gets too bad for ya. :) Today's high is -4C. These days, anything above freezing feels like a heat wave. :biggrinjester:

LOL, Oh hell NO, I didn't mean me. I meant my sister's 65 year old mother-in-law. I am the least handy person you will ever encounter. Plus those who hand out the duckets did their fair share already LOL.

We know you usually dont fall, but wait til you see how big that belly will be blowing up to within the next few months. It can take you off kilter. I know you know this already but people tend to get extra worried for pregnant ladies..

That is silly of him.He can do the trim as a side project after your in, it doesnt need to be done before hand.Id be pissed at him!

Ha Never mess with the rath of a woman and a pregnant one at that!LOL

I fell the winter I was preggo with my youngest. One of the kids left a big sluch puddle of melted snow at the bottom of the stairs, I went ass over tea kettle and knocked the back of my head pretty hard on teh last step, I was ok though and so was she but it was the scariest moment ever for me!

Im with everyone else please be very careful. Now you are rounded and off balance more, LOL!

Glad Henry showed up!

Getting stuck sucked, but the cheap oil change can't be beat ;)

HAHA--What's H's reason behind the "cant' move in until the trim is up"? BIZARRE!!

Nice with the prenatal massage :hurray:

-4C???? :eek2: Makes me happier than ever to be a Cali girl--wearing sandals today ;)

Have a great day!

Hi ya Kimberly! :hug2:

SS things are not going right and as you want them.
That drives me up the wall when it happens to me..lol...:willy_nilly:

I'd help ya if I was there!!!

Too bad I can't give ya our weather today, it's 76*
It may be another C-Mas in shorts....I can't stand it..
I want winter!

I hope things start going your way hon.
BEST WISHES! ;)

SUPER BIG :hug2:

<3 Stacy

Claudia--I meant it was nice of you to buy the flooring--or did I read that wrong?

Cerella--we'll move without the corner round being up (I've got it all painted now)..lol. No, we still haven't moved in yet--but I am typing this from the condo. Apparently one of the neighbors has wireless that isn't password protected, b/c my laptop found it on its own. :D David is working on the last bit of flooring as I type. The stove should be hooked up tomorrow, and then we can move in whenever we want. :hurray:

Val--Don't rub in your sandal-wearing weather!! :cuss: It was 45F at 2am. By 5 am it was 29F, and by late morning down to 14F. H got a snow day due to freezing rain. It is freaking colder than a nun's nasty. :sifone: And, if that weren't enough, we're due for quite a bit of snow tomorrow night..lol. Still, I'll take it all over humid 90+ weather like Southerers get in the summer. :D

Stacy--If only you could send me that temp..lol. I'd return the favor and send it back to you in July when you're swealtering. :D

Ugh...I'm down with a nasty head cold. And of course, being preggers, very limited in what I can take for it. I've been guzzling fluids, eating citrus and taking extra vitamin C to help flush it out of my system. I spent most of the day in bed miserable. H tried to talk me out of the last childbirth class tonight, but I wanted to go anyway. As it turned out, one of the other couples that we became kinda chummy with there have the exact same cold. So we suffered together..lol.

The stove is hooked up and the flooring is done. We are planning on moving in on Saturday. The bathroom is currently the nicest looking in the house..lmao. That is b/c it is the room that is most finished and cleanest..lol. I cleaned the sink and toilet and mopped the floor. The rest of the house is still topsy-turvy. :D

Still cold and terrible weather. I swear, it's just relentless and doesn't let up. We're due for 6-8+ inches of snow tomorrow night, and the roads are still crappy from the last snow/ice. It's only mid-December and I'm already sick of winter. :ack2: Friday is H's last day of work before the break, and it might end up being a snow day...lol.

Had an ultrasound yesterday, and all is well. Baby weighs 2lbs 4oz--which is on target. No 4D pics this time b/c I had it done at a hospital and not the doc office (which has 4D) b/c they had to reschedule me. If I'd known that they didn't have 4D, I would've waited until I could have it done at my midwife's office. :( Oh well. The 2D pics are pretty fuzzy and not worth posting.

Awesome news on the move in and baby!

Too bad about being sick...

And I feel ya, (well not really), about the weather, come over my neighboorhood where we are using a generator and have been since the weekend...

UGH, I had alot of bad colds when preggo with the youngest...They are brutual when you are preggo cuz you cant really take anything for them...I had one cold so bad that I could hardly talk and they told me if I didn't stop teaching and talking I would loose my voice all together , lol.Try teachin ga class of 16 2 - 5 yr olds with a squeaky voice, they listen even less, LOL!

WOO HOO for move in day!:)!

It has been colder than usual here for us, we have gotten as low as - 17 which is uncommon over here!It is so cold and then add in the wind chill factor, geeesh!
