Being a responsible adult! Weight loss n stuff...

Oh no, Lucy! Those days will just happen now and then, unfortunately. You're not going to undo all of your hard work with just one day, though. What the heck was up with that popcorn?? Gosh, if that's not motivation to eat better I don't know what is!

Overwhelming cravings are horrible! Your diet is usually so healthy that your body is complaining about it's mistreatment by throwing an ulcer your way. Sometimes I wonder whether we feel so bad after giving in & eating crap, because we feel guilty or it's because crap food makes us feel crap. Either way, it's onward & upward (downward?) for Lucy!

Thanks guys. I know logically that I'm not suddenly back where I'm started (and the most damage I've done is set me back a couple hundred grams or a couple of days) I'm just frustrated that this is still a bit of a habit that is hard to break. I mean, I pretty much was eating like this every day before so once a week is a massive improvement... but it still frustrates the hell out of me. Anyway, I'm moving on!

Felt super dehydrated and BLAH when I woke up, drank most of a litre of water before I went to the gym because my mouth felt like a desert. Actually feel a lot better now I've been to the gym, confessed my sins to the PT and had a really good session. Considering how yuck and bloated I felt when I woke up I actually feel awesome now, and almost back to normal so that's good! Gunna smash out 2 perfect days and hopefully get rid of this extra salt n fluid before weigh in Thu... we'll see.

Food plan for tomorrow

Pre workout water with lemon, 4 Brazil nuts
Post workout protein shake
B French toast bake
S coconut pistachio bar, strawberries
L Smoked salmon mountain bread tart
S 2 crackers, 1/3 avocado
D Roast beef, pumpkin, green beans, caulimash

Exercise PT- chest day

First off....You look great by the way! :)

and secondly...way to get back on track, I have found that cheat days turn in to cheat weekends and in to cheat weeks, then months and then years..hahaha...so be proud of you being you and kicking butt! :)

I think Lucy that we are all quite confident that you will kick butt! A glitch, a minor glitch, no-one is perfect, it's all learning. One thing I know, is that you never give up learning! xo Cate

Thanks for the confidence guys!!! Actually as of next week I have even more people to be accountable to... I start bootcamp which is also a 12 week challenge format, so that'll be even more people I'm answering to.

Just finished up a perfect day, so I'm already back into it!! I didn't do much today, just got back from grocery shopping and prepped some stuff for my massive fortnightly food prep day tomorrow.

Going to be more organised about my cheats! I know they mostly happen when my husband is home, so going to purposely choose a day to cheat that he's home... but don't want to deal with puffiness etc on a work day. So- Sunday nights will be takeaway/junk food nights unless I have plans on a different day. Also gives me extra energy to burn off on bootcamp early Mon mornings!!

Stuff I'm prepping for the fortnight-

My fav chicken EVER: http://www.foodily.com/r/HsfetT8SG-...th-coconut-rice-by-buddy-valastro---cake-boss (I just do the chicken, not the rice etc)
Chicken mountain bread sausage rolls
Chicken meatballs
Tamari and garlic beef
A variation on this soup recipe: http://allrecipes.com.au/recipe/13835/thick-mixed-vegetable-soup.aspx with cauliflower instead of potato, a few extra spices etc instead of soup mix
A huge roasted veg mix with fresh basil

I think that's it for now, might prep some cashew milk ice-cream mixes as well.

Good night all, will post again in the morning!

That chicken does look delicious! I'm going to have to find out if I have tamari at my house. But first I will find out what tamari is...

Ok I Googled it, we probably don't have it but for all I know it's in the back of our fridge with all the other Asian sauces my boyfriend loves. I'll remember this recipe for later!

Hey Oaks!! That chicken is AMAZING. Tamari is just salt reduced (and wheat free) soy sauce, I think it's pretty similar in flavour.

***********

Jeez, what a day. Got through all my cooking, took most of my day. The freezer/fridge look stocked now!! Had a perfect day (today isn't over yet but I'm not going to cheat, no way!) and I'm all set for my 4 work days. I also ducked out for an hour and had my eyebrows done (was LONG overdue).

Also, my Chocolate-covered Katie cookbook arrived and it's gorgeous! Yay! I love cookbooks :D

I'm ducking out soon to buy a new work skirt as mine is too big... then I think I'm done for the day. YESSSSSSSSS! Weigh in tomorrow, I've managed 6 perfect days out of 7 but my bad day was only 2 days ago... hopefully it's been enough time for fluid etc to disappear. We'll see.

Food plan for tomorrow

Pre workout water with lemon, 4 Brazil nuts
Post workout protein shake
B Blueberry oatmeal cake thing I made
S Coconut pistachio bar, punnet of strawberries
L 130g roast beef in mountain bread, 2 cups coleslaw
S Green smoothie
D Chicken meatballs, thick veg soup

Exercise PT- back day.

I have a lift to work tomorrow, YAY! Working 1-5pm.

Arhg. Small gain on the scales this week. I know it's fluid, but it's still frustrating as hell! Debating whether to jump on again in a few days to see if it's dropped off yet or wait till next weigh in and have a big drop. Hrrmmmm.

Ok so got over my little scale hissy fit this morning (haha. Yes, I had a litte anger tantrum inside my head) I just got back from the gym which always makes me feel better and reminds me that this whole weight loss/health/fitness journey is SO MUCH more than a stupid number on the scale. Oh, and (TMI GUYS, AVERT YOUR EYES MEN) I just started spotting so assuming TOM will be starting either today or tomorrow which would explain the actual gain more than my one bad day in the whole week.

Guys, that perfect week is going to happen this week. I made sure all my food was exciting/varied (jeez, I cooked chicken 4 ways yesterday people. 4 FREAKIN DIFFERENT TYPES OF CHICKEN!) I am going to have my cheat meal after a work day while my husband is home (so I can't pick at stuff in anticipation beforehand) and it's also 4 days away from weigh in so any fluid should be gone by then. I have this week meticulously planned, even down to only having enough money left in my account for this weekends cheat meal. Next weeks weigh in is the end of month one so I REALLY want to see 67 point something!!!!

Food plan for tomorrow

Pre workout water with lemon, 4 Brazil nuts
Post workout protein shake
B 1/2 cup fruit free muesli, 60g coconut yogurt, carton coconut milk, 1/3 cup raspberries
S Turkey mountain bread lasagne
L Smoothie
S Chopped carrot/capsicum sticks, 2 hard boiled eggs
D Bean bread (like the pizza base) with thick veg soup

Exercise HIIT at the gym (prob 30mins on the treadmill followed by 10 on the bike if I'm feeling energetic), walking to work

I work 11-3 tomorrow... and I'm having the weekend off training as boot camp starts on Mon.

Woke up super early today, blarg. Just after 5am. Actually not motivated to go to the gym at all today!! Kinda think I should go, but stomach is being a bit crampy and I know I have to walk to work later and again tomorrow... such a lazy way to think, haha. Back is sore from PT yesterday too so I know running will suck.

My older sister is trying to organise flying over now at the same time as my younger sister, not sure how that'll go down. My lil sis and I already have a heap of plans and I'm still working my normal hours. Also my older sister with have my 14 month old nephew with her so a lot of it she won't be able to do (she's looking into accommodation, not staying with us). Hrrmph. Don't get me wrong, would be awesome to see them both but I think one at a time would be best.

Oh you guys will laugh at me- I got so excited about cheat meal on Sunday (don't know if I mentioned it, we decided on pizza) so I ordered it and paid for it last night and we are picking it up on my way home from work :D Funny, who knew you could order a pizza a few months in advance? Crazy.

Anyhoo... onto the food stuff!

Food plan for tomorrow

B 2 eggs with parmesan, 1 pc ryeless rye bread
S Mixed bean vegetarian chilli
L Green smoothie
S 2 crackers, 1/3 avocado
D Chicken and basil meatloaf, pan cooked veges (I think I have a mixture of eggplant/zucchini/capsicum to use)

Exercise Walk to work

Working 11-4 tomorrow!

Perfect day 2 down, 5 to go!

Work was dead again today, hoping the weekend will be better. My older sister is coming to visit now with my nephew!! So my younger sister will be here 5th-24th, and my older sister 9th-15th. Going to be a big month!! OS and nephew won't be staying in our house though, just YS.

Can't wait!!!

As nice as it will be to see your older sister, it's probably just as well not to have a toddler staying with you in the house.

We have a similar "slip up" pattern where we have a day where we veer a little off track and things just snowball from there and we write the day off. I'm with you: I don't like it even if mentally I know the long term damage is minimal. Because too many of those starts to add up a bit and letting it happen once leads to letting it happen twice and then a third time and so on.

Truth is we're all going to screw up from time to time. Hell, I lost 120 pounds in a year and screwed up several times during that year. What's important for me to do is to try to avoid the preventable ones. The ones that deep down I knew I could have avoided fairly easily are the ones where I'm focusing on trying to do better.

Anyway, way to get back on the beam.

Hey guys!!! PERFECT DAY 3 DOWN! Tomorrow is cheat meal day, I'm glad I organised it how it is so I can't pick at random food till I pick up pizza after work, haha!!

Today was slooooooooooooow and boring and SO FREAKIN HOT. Got pretty close to 40C where we are and the air con in the store doesn't work, so it was about 35C inside. Had a headache all day from it after walking to work, it was awful. Customers were rude and grumpy too which I think was directly related to the heat inside. I think it's supposed to rain tomorrow so hopefully it'll be a bit cooler!!! Actually I'd love a storm, then I can jump into bed and eat pizza and watch movies with my husband after work :D

Oh, really shouldn't have but I hopped on the scale this morning and was up another 200g after my 2 perfect days... has to be because TOM (actually started this arvo). Really I should've still lost last week but I'm up 900g now!!! Hopefully it'll all drop off before next weigh in (my end of month big one!!!) Bit frustrating!! It's definitely making me power on though. That elusive perfect week is going to happen!
