Being a responsible adult! Weight loss n stuff...

Ohhh I so hope so Sunflower, I woke up feeling even PUFFIER this morning!!! Don't know what the F is up! Hormones are a bitch!!!

I made such an awesome brekki this morning, I had a mini (single serve) blackberry crumble. I put a half cup of frozen blackberries in the bottom of a ramekin, then in a separate bowl I mixed 1/3 cup oats, 1 tsp chia seeds, 1 tbsp. almond meal, 1 tbsp. shredded coconut, 1 tsp cinnamon, vanilla, stevia, 1/2 tsp honey, 1.5 tbsp. carton coconut milk. Squashed that mixture on the blackberries and then baked it for 30mins, it was sooooooo good! Made a little topping for it too, 2 tbsp. light ricotta with a vanilla stevia drop.

Today the weather is going to be just as hot, so work is going to suck. I prefer the rain I think!!!! SO glad it's Sunday so I get 3 days of air con after this. Having cravings this morning, so super happy that I go to work soon... AND I have a cheat meal later. Also husband is working tomorrow now, so I don't have to worry at all about junk food. The rest of this week should be a breeze once I get through today!!!

L Smoothie
D Cheat meal- oodles of pizza and garlic bread and coke zero yesssssssssssssssssssssssss (skipping afternoon snack as picking up pizza on the way home from work)

Exercise No! I'm NOT exercising today!!!! Because... after today, 5 days of exercise a week. Plus a shitload of walking to work AND back for 3 weeks as Wade is going away for a cruise tomorrow, no more lifts for me!

My scale played that game with me this week. One or two high sodium days and my weigh in 5 days later is ruined!
Like this last week. Stayed absolutely the same weight as the week before (177.8) due to high sodium, and now a day later I weighed in 3 pounds less at 174.8!! But it's not official since it's not friday!
 
Oh Cate, I can't even imagine turning the air con off any time soon. Can't believe you needed extra blankets!!!

Well guys bit of confession time- I ate what I planned for my cheat last night... then Ash and I both wanted sweets after (yea, after already demolishing a whole pizza and half a garlic bread) and then a mountain of chocolate happened. It was still part of my 'cheat meal' but I WAY overdid it, I think it would've made my day as bad as any cheat day. So not counting yesterday as a perfect day. Also didn't make it to boot camp this morning as I was really worried about running around with my stomach feeling like it was, don't think it would've ended well for me. Going to smash out 3 last perfect days this week and hopefully won't want to destroy the scales at the end of it. Just going to keep on keeping on!

Have a nutritionist appointment today and a chiropractor appt. tonight, not much else going on! Going to be drinking a shitload of water and chilling out.

Food today

B 1/2 cup fruit free muesli, 1 tsp chia seeds, 1/3 cup frozen raspberries, splash of coconut milk, 60g coconut yogurt
S Capsicum/carrot, 40g hummus
L 130g roast beef, broccoli, caulimash
S Nectarine and 40g mixed nuts
D Chicken meatballs, soup

Exercise None
 
Had my consult with the nutritionist today! It was positive, told her all about my gain etc last week and she agrees hormones. Set some new goals, my big one is to be 65 point anything by the 19th Feb (so, let's say 65.9kg). I figure that if I weigh in this Thu at 69.2 again, as an actual gain, then I should still be able to lose the 3.3kgs in a month to get there. Couple of big things I have to change though, she said I've been having my dinner on work days too early/too close to my snack (I get hungry on work days because there's a big gap between smoothie at midday and 4.30ish when I get home... usually have my afternoon snack followed almost immediately by dinner). She wants my last meal to be no more than 4 hours away from bedtime, so I have to have dinner when I get home and snack later on. Which is fine! Also if I happen to have a really bad day early on in the day, she doesn't want me to skip dinner like I sometimes do... I have to still have dinner. I'm also allowed to have an extra protein shake or hardboiled eggs on days I'm extra sore/tired because I'm working out 5x a week now. I'll start that from Thu onward if I need to, don't want to add extra calories the next few days. Also I'm only working out 4x this week.

Soooooooooooooooo. Today was a perfect day, haven't had dinner yet but haven't really been hungry all day because of all the food I ate yesterday! I even had to make a giant batch of Tollhouse cookies (um, my favourite thing EVER. EVER EVER. My mum used to make them when we were kids, it's how I developed an obsession with cookie dough and warm melted choc chip cookies!) Not once did any part of a cookie or dough make it near my mouth, so I was happy to get through that unscathed! I'm supposed to be adding in extra potassium foods the next few days too to get this fluid down, so had avocado with my afternoon tea (made a lil choc pudding out of it) and I'll eat more tomorrow. She's sending me a fact sheet with what extra foods to eat tonight.

Not doing much tomorrow, PT session in the morning and Wade and I tentatively made plans for coffee and a beach walk, but only if the weather holds up. Had rain most of the day and a thunderstorm this arvo, so we'll see.

Morning all!!!!! I am not leaving the house today, just as I got back from the gym the skies opened up once again. Actually there's a pretty big thunderstorm going on out there right now! So... yet another lazy day :D Bit worried about having to get to work and back Thu-Sat this week though, supposed to be storms every day. Yuck.

Legs was a pretty full on session this morning, felt good! Probably a good thing I won't be beach walking with Wade, I'd be wobbly to the max. I had a really good sleep last night too which I think contributed to having a heap of energy at the gym, slept all the way to my alarm at 6:50. Think it was because it had been raining it was still pretty dark instead of the light streaming in from 4am onward.

B I made a lil protein choc cake, so this is my eggs on toast brekki combined with my usual post workout protein shake... It's 1 pc rye-less rye, 2 eggs, 1 scoop choc protein, 2 tbsp. cacao, 1 tbsp. natvia, 2 tbsp. light cottage cheese,, splash of carton coconut milk, baking powder, vanilla. Put everything in the blender and baked in a mini loaf tin, it looks adorable!
S Avocado choc pudding
L Smoked salmon mountain bread tart
S Carrot/capsicum, 40g hummus
D 130g beef and 2 cups mixed veg

Exercise 30mins PT (chest day)
 
Another perfect day down, think this week will be 6 out of 7 again. Kind of glad I stayed home today, had a really crampy stomach. Hopefully will be all good tomorrow! Also feeling considerably less puffy today so that's a plus.

Honestly did nothing today, I'm stuck into a PC game at the moment called Wolf among us which is pretty fun. That's about it! Wade leaves for his holiday tomorrow so he was home getting all his stuff together today.

Tomorrow I have no plans... might go and do a bit of shopping but that's it. Expecting another few thunderstorms so we'll see. Want to finish that game too!
 
Afternoon all!!!

I've actually managed to keep pretty busy today up till now, I had PT this morning (was a really good session!) Came home and ate brekki then finished the game I was playing and showered... went to get my nails done as I had a few chips and corners missing, oops. By the time I got home it was lunch time, so I've eaten lunch and now have the whole afternoon to do... nothing. Haha.

Weigh in tomorrow, I honestly have no idea how it's going to go at this stage. Yesterday I felt less puffy, today I think I'm about the same... not as bad as I was, but not quite as light as I was feeling a couple of weeks ago. Been loading up on the potassium foods as my nutritionist suggested (had my salmon tart for lunch loaded with spinach, tomato, mushrooms and zucchini, and will make a banana ice-cream with banana and cashews later for afternoon tea). Also been making sure I haven't been eating dinner too early etc. Eh, we'll see what happens.

As for a short term goal though... tomorrow fortnight my lil sis gets here, yay! If I ever wanted a perfect run, THIS IS IT!!! So from tomorrow- counting down a perfect fortnight! My cheat meal I'm going to have Sunday night I think, not going to be any specific meal... since when I do that, all I want is junk food after, I think we are going to go straight to the source... and just have a junk food night. Lol. I've been craving moon macadamias and choc PB ice-cream, so I think that'll be me set!!! Nothing like a good sugar high!

Well guys... another perfect day. 6 out of 7 this week!!! Tomorrow is the beginning of the big one though... a perfect fortnight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's gunna happen!!
 
Well I just finished reading your diary, (it only took me all week). lol. I've got to say it was very interesting reading. Loved some of your meals you have prepared and posted. Sounds like you are doing an awesome job. Keep it up girl....

GUYS. My weight is still exactly 68.5kgs. Doubt last week was a legit gain, either when I weighed in originally I was having a low fluid day, or I'm still retaining now. Bleh, whatever! At least I'm not up anymore! It mean I only lost 1.2kgs this month, but I'm still happy with my 5kgs in 2 months... also lost a few cms, 2 each from my bust/waist/hips and 1 from around my thigh.

Goals for this month-

- Weigh 65.9 (65 point anything will make me happy!)
- Get to all my training sessions
- Aim for a perfect month- gotta stop falling in a heap on cheat day! Only eat what I planned to cheat with and not do these little random road trips before/after for chocolate etc (this coming cheat I'm actually having as chocolate and ice-cream, that should stop me wanting to get more!)

I'll be back soon to check on peoples journals, I'm just about to head off to the gym!
 
Wow, full on morning. Started cooking as soon as I got back from the gym and just finished cleaning up just then. All mine and husbands meals are prepped and organised till the end of Sunday! Will grab Sunday dinner/cheat meals on the way home from work that day. Lots of yumminess happening in the next few days, YAY! Also, lots of perfection. Perfect fortnight, here we go! Can't believe LS will be here in 2 weeks!!!!!

It's getting cloudy again so think I'll be walking to work... and back again today. Blah. Extra 1.5hours of exercise right there. Got to be able to hold an umbrella though!!

Is co yo coconut yogurt? If so I need to see if I can find it. Good luck with your fortnight! Prioritizing your cheats sounds like a good idea.

Quercus- Co yo is coconut yogurt! It's the most amazing stuff, that's the actual brand of it. Honestly it tastes like some amazing cream type topping rather than yogurt!!

Oh man, it absolutely POURED down at boot camp this morning. I was completely drenched when I got home which means walking to work with soggy shoes! (If the rain lets up, it's still pretty bad. I might need to take a taxi). Was a lot of fun, lots of boxing and hill sprints. Good turnout too despite the rain, I think there was about 15 of us.

I broke my favourite 2.2L drink bottle last night, I put it down a little too roughly while it was practically full and one of the sides split. Arrgh. Will order a new one on payday!

Damn I wish this rain would stop!

What a day guys!!!! I managed to get a lift to work from a co-worker on the condition that I buy him a coffee, he came and got me really early anyway so we had coffee (I had green tea) just before work. The rain is completely insane, pretty much the entire Gold Coast has flooded. Another very lovely co-worker finished at the same time as me and gave me a lift home, thankfully she had a big SUV so the water over the roads we were on wasn't an issue (it's so much worse everywhere now!!) It just won't stop raining!!!! So many main roads are closed off and we're expecting it to keep going late into the night. Pretty much no one was out and about because of the feral weather, so my 4 hours I only spoke to about 3 people. Awesome. According to my phone weather app the only day it's not supposed to rain in the next 7 days is Tuesday.

I ended up having my cheat meal tonight, just wanted carbs SO badly when I got home. Decided to just do it, not a huge deal. Ate what I had, which was about 80g premade butter popcorn, 75g Jatz crackers, and I made some Nutella cookies and think I had about a 1/3 of the batch (and as soon as I was done, all leftovers were put into the bin promptly and I poured water over them to make them inedible. Haha) So I now need to smash out 5 perfect on-plan days! Should be easy, don't have any time off with the husband this week. And I'm poor. And there's no junk food in the house as Wade is not here (crackers and popcorn were his, I'll replace them the day before he gets back).

2 perfect days down, 12 to go!

Rain, Rain, go away.
I love the rain but that is just to much. I'm an outdoorsman myself so I love to get outside and do things physical and with all that rain I'd go bananas.
 
GGH- I don't think I've ever experienced rain like this before, it's insane. Apart from the last 36hrs non-stop, we've also had 3-4+ thunderstorms a week for the last 2 months (there's a couple weeks in there where we had them every day, some days had more than one too!) Kind of wishing summer would go away so the weather is cool and dry.

Morning all!!! Despite my cheat meal last night I'm actually feeling pretty good, not too puffy or anything. The rain has stopped finally too, it did continue to rain most of the night though. Means I can walk or ride to work today!

Can't believe it's Saturday today already, days off are almost here!!! Just got the bootcamp schedule for next week, on Monday there's only 1 class as it's a public holiday (Australia day), the description is Pilates with strength and hill sprints. So that'll be interesting :D Friday is a choice between Death by cardio (no thank you) or the 300 workout- which is 300 reps of various exercises (doing this one but still not too appearling, haha) but hey, gunna get it done. They also told us to partner up, we have to set a 2 week goal and use an accountability buddy to get there. Also had to set a 6 week goal, mine was to lose 3kgs in 6 weeks (65.5kgs by the 5th of March) I'm actually hoping to be a bit less than that by then but made a conservative goal.

Today isn't going to be too exciting a day, because I have to go to work and back again my 5 hour work shift suddenly takes 7.5hrs between leaving the house and arriving home again. By the time I get home it'll be just after 5.
