Hi You Guys!
I just bought a new watch for working out. The dress watch I've been wearing with a black analog face is just too loose, metal links, etc. The new watch is a Timex Ironman and it has a chronological lap feature with the ability to split the laps. It's very cool

(Probably old news to a lot of you, but I haven't exactly looked at sports watches/equipment in oh, decades maybe!)
I actually went to the store for a pedometer - my old one is a POS! The route I take in the morning is 5 miles. I've driven it with my car, I've also mapped it with mapmyrun.com (I LOVE that site). It's 5 miles. Yesterday, my pedometer said it was 3.7 and today it said it was 6.2. I need a new one.
The store I went to didn't have what I was looking for, but...I did start trying on the Nike+ shoes.
I get a good fit in a men's US size 9.5, it has a smaller toe box then the New Balance that I'm currently wearing - but I so LOVE the iPod Nano attachment technology! It's $30 bucks for the adapter and chip and $110 for the shoes.
It would make one hell of a pedometer
I'm just not sure if I'm ready to go that route yet. In the meantime, I'll stick with mapmyrun.com!
That said, wishes, thanks for all the info on the buttons at the bottom of our posts.
Susan, I hear ya about going out - I'm pretty good when I go to a restaraunt, because I can generally get that information online. What stuffs me up is when I go to a friend's house and I don't know how they make the food ACK!
I did pretty well factoring in the calories using sparkpeople.com today...it's a good thing I don't go OUT to eat all that often!
Hope you're all having a good day
