70 lbs lost... before and after

@JammyPants - first, love the screenname!
LOL - Thanks! My name is Jaime, and for some reason, a few of my friends have translated that to Jammy Pants and that is what they call me.

Something new to report... tonight I added something new to my workout - Wii Fit! I thought it would be cute, but it really works you out! I did several of the strength training, yoga, balance and cardio exercises - 20 minutes worth total. I was sweating afterwards! Didn't expect that! So now, I'm going to try to add that in a few times a week, to the elliptical and weights that I currently do.
That is so awesome. I love the innovation these days that makes working out actually fun!

Wow! Had to check out your link! Congrats your weight loss! You look incredible!

I also strength train and HIIT on the elliptical regularly, and throw in spin classes as well!

Congrats, again!

Wow Man...awesome...I am a new member. Would you guide me how you broke the transition point. I mean to say from high GI to low GI...Was it tough...how u get yourself motivated.
I am 105 KG ( 231 lbs) . want to get to 80. What you suggest.

@cherrygarcia, @slickg, @BetterBody81, @yessican - thanks for the kind words!

@UrJustADayLate - great pictures! If you look to the right of your head, just under that Coca-Cola sign, that's me! Just kidding... but my seats are in that upper deck... nice view you had down there. Are you going to be coming to the Jets game in New Orleans on October 4th this year?

@broadchest - Actually, I didn't switch from regular eating (High Glycemic) to Low GI. I did extreme low carb (less than 20 carbs per day) for several months. Then I switched to healthy eating (Low Glycemic Impact) by slowly adding in the "right" carbs like fruit (mostly strawberries, blueberries and Fuji apples), whole grain breads & wraps, beans and whole grain rice. I still very rarely eat high starch/sugar vegetables like potatoes, carrots and corn. I use this site quite a bit to determine the glycemic impact of foods:

We found out about that game from our ticket guy last fall!

We're thinking about it!

I absolutely LOVE NoLa! A girlfriend of mine is a massive Saints fan and I'm a huge Jets fan... so... This doesn't happen very often!

A long weekend in NoLa sounds PERFECT for October!

Your pics and story are truly inspirational, I have been battling for a really long time, and the enemy is myself. Its great to see success stories like yours. Hard work pays off.
My friend Cerella does the wii fit and she said it is a huge work out. Take care
Michelle

Hey Rob (or is it actually NolaRob?), I just wanted to say sorry for not posting a compliment yet. You have done an awesome job! How are you doing as of today? Have you made progress since last summer? Just curious because I know it gets hard once you get to a much lower body fat percentage.

Derrick

P.S. I am also PUI. LOL
I am on pain pills and muscle relaxers. :D

@brazenlysasse - Yep, the Wii fit surprised me. And thank you.

@Derrick - I'm doing a good job of maintenance. I think I've made a little progress on my stomach, but I'm not satisfied. I'm going to continue to eat right and exercise though.

@19goog75 - :blush5:

@a_samuel90 - Thanks!

You have a very cool chin. :coolgleamA:

Congrats! Keep up the good work, and keep us posted on your muffin top, hehe...

My boyfriend lost about 100 pounds (before I had met him) and his big struggle has been the "muffin top" He continues to plug away at it , just like you do. I know it is very frustrating for him, to feel like he will Always have to work on this area. I just remind him to focus on how much all that hard work has paid off and that working on those last little hurtles are just a sign of the home stretch. He was really impressed by your before and after pics. - Michelle

You have a very cool chin. :coolgleamA:

Never heard that one before. Thanks. Tell me more about this 'chin coolness' scale of yours...

@Kori - thanks... I went off hard yesterday, had Mexican and Margaritas! Mmmm... just have to do a little extra this weekend, I guess.

@King Nothing - all up to you, dude... but if I can do it, anyone can!

@brazenlysasse - I hate the muffin top! I share in his frustration!

Wow Rob, You look fantastic! I hope I can get my body looking like your's. Its truely amazing how different you look. I have that love/hate relationship with New Orleans too. I travel there for work on occation and the food is very good. I haven't traveled since I have been loosing weight, but was supposed to go to NO at the end of this month. I have been trying to avoid travel at all costs right now just because it is too hard to eat healthy on the road. Luckily my trip got cancelled so I won't have to be put through the temptation. Keep it up man, it's so inspiring!
