Zero-fat salsa you can enjoy anytime!
- 2 Roma tomatoes, diced or 2/3 cup chopped canned tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped
- 1/4 cup red or green peppers
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (about one lime)
- salt to taste
- freshly ground black pepper
- dash hot sauce (optional)
- Place tomatoes, onions, jalapeño, peppers, cilantro and lime juice in a bowl. Add the salt, pepper and hot sauce.
- Serve with tortilla chips or pita bread.
