Zero-fat salsa you can enjoy anytime!


  • 2 Roma tomatoes, diced or 2/3 cup chopped canned tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red or green peppers
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (about one lime)
  • salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • dash hot sauce (optional)


  1. Place tomatoes, onions, jalapeño, peppers, cilantro and lime juice in a bowl. Add the salt, pepper and hot sauce.
  2. Serve with tortilla chips or pita bread.
