Wittbound's Diary

Congrats on losing another pound.

I hope you have some success with your game plan for today. I'm going to try to go running tonite after work. I'm almost expecting to run into the dungeons peeps again. Oh well, at least I won't be lonely :)

I brought a bagel to work with me today, probably eat it this evening before my run. I get these whole grain oaty ones from the grocery store... I can't remember what brand they are but they are pretty tasty, and 12 grams of protein in one!!! I usually smear it with some RF Veggie Cream cheese, and it's very enjoyable, and 300 cals exactly with the cream cheese (if I stick to the serving size)...

Hang in there,
Sam

The bagels I get are exactly 300 calories with the cream cheese also. I loooove bagels.

So I have to say that the workout today wasn't a complete success.

I did the 20 minute run fine. Then I passed and served the soccer ball with my boyfriend for about 10 minutes. Then after that we tried to do the 150 ladders. Let me explain these a little better. I have to sprint the full length of a football field, all the way back, 50 yard line and back....with no rest. That's 300 yards. Then I do the full field and back, then half field and back. So when it says 150, 100, or 50 I'm really running 2 times that distance. And I really am not up to that right now. I only got through the first to parts of the ladder (150 and 100). Then the 18s weren't successful either. But I did lift upper body pretty hard at my boyfriend's house. Im planning on doing the ab workout tonight because right now I am taking a nap.

I had the exact same breakfast and lunch as yesterday.

Good job for getting that all in. You'll be doing all the sprinting no sweat here in a little while :) Running ladder sucks, I had to do those recently with my trainer. They are hard. He was timing me and everything and wanted me to do a better time each time, and he made me run them like 5 times... Just keep practicing and you'll get better;)

Bagels are so so good. and filling. I had some veggie chili and a string cheese melted in it for lunch. Pretty good. Hope it keeps me full till about 4pm tho, when I'm going to eat next. It should. I gotta work on the water today too. Sometimes when I'm hungry I will just go drink a bunch of water and it usually does the trick :)

Okay so let's see...I'm really tired, so this is going to be short and sweet.

My arms are going to be dead tomorrow. Eric pushed me pretty hard with that. My legs and butt are kinda sore to...I think from kicking the ball and sprinting.

So food...

Breakfast - 300 calories
Lunch - 510 calories
Dinner - 400 calories
Snack - 200 calories

Total = 1410 calories

I know I burned off at least 100 calories running around at work today. The power was out all around us, so tons of families were ordering Togo since they had no electricity. I ordered the kids grilled chicken, which is about 1 serving of grilled chicken, steamed broccoli, and angel hair pasta with res sauce. It was pretty good. Then, Eric called and said he was making s'mores. Who could resist?! I only had one though, and then a couple crackers when I got home.

Going early to get a Y pass. Should be fun. Then I have lower body tomorrow.

I've never had a smore :(
I was thinking about them last night... how do you actually make them!??

Your lunch sounded good! Yum!

oh my gosh. Smores are like the best things ever. They are made with graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate. You cook the marshmallow over a fire until it's golden, then you put it onto one graham cracker. the piece of chocolate goes over top, and then the other graham cracker.

That's what they look like.

But why am I up? It's only 7:30.

my arms/upper back/chest are ridiculously sore today. This morning I woke up because my arm was hurting so bad.

NOw I'm off to get a YMCA pass, so I can do lower body and be even more sore! yay!

Good luck on the pass... I had to be up at 7am again this morning, and it was brutal... I had to wake myself up with a hot shower and it still didn't quite do the trick. I have a feeling I'm going to be nodding off at my desk today at work :)

I hear you on the soreness. My upper body was sore all weekend from a brutal workout I put it thru on Thurs nite... Its finally not so sore. I need to get to the gym and do a nice leg workout...

-Sam

Arms feel a tad better now that I've gone running. I guess it "loosens" them up a bit.

Soooo my friend that will be playing soccer with me at Witt had to get a physical today. We had planned on doing the workout together, but she got 3 shots and ended up passing out. Doc said she wasn't allowed to do anything like working out, so I didn't do the whole thing. I went for a 20 minute run today, and I did the ladders. Im going to do the ab workout tonight after work.

Im going to work without taking a shower. Grooooss. Eh...whatever.

Let's see...food.

Breakfast - 300 calories
Lunch - 480 calories
Snack - 100

Total = 880

I didn't post yesterday. Mostly because I didn't eat well. It wasn't like I ate terribly, but I could have done much better.

I did lift upper body, however, and I feel good today. My arms seriously feel stronger already, and I'm not even sore today.

My obliques are kinda sore from doing this ab workout with Eric though. Not sure what part of the workout made me sore, but I wish I did, so I could do more of it!

So let's see...today has gotten decently well so far.

Breakfast - 450 calories
Lunch - 350 calories
Snack -
Dinner -
Total = 800 calories

**2.5 glasses of water so far

I just took some of this energy and performance igniter stuff that my brother got. I just figured I'd give it a shot to see if it helped me out any. I have to workout at 2:15 in order to be able to feel it. My brother took it, and he said he felt like he could have lifted for hours. If Eric knew that I took it, though, he would KILL me. I just wanted to try it.

oh my goooooosh.

This is bad.

I ran my normal course (2.6 miles) then I ran a whole extra mile because I wasn't even tired. Even when I was finished I walked to the next house and back and was barely breathing hard. I did my ab workout right after that, which consists of 7 different workouts (crunches, russian twists, toe touches, knees to chest, etc.), and I still want to workout! The only thing is that I lifted upper body yesterday, and my legs are too sore to lift lower body.

I feel like I could run 10 miles with this stuff. And this is bad because it's my brothers, and I can't just keep sneaking it. Also bad because, well, it's bad for you. It's a whole lot of caffeine. My hands are kinda shaking right now as I'm typing this. I even used the minimum amount of the stuff.

Okay so other than that, I have to work tonight. Boo. 6:00 to like 10:30. :(

Okay so tonight I had a create your own pasta with whole wheat penne, arrabiatta sauce, chicken mushrooms, and spinach. I had them split it into 2 smaller containers, so I ate half of the normal dinner portion. Not sure how many calories that adds up to, but I know it wasn't a ton.

So, when I was getting ready for work today I started feeling really sick and weak. I know it was because of the n.o. xplode stuff. I felt terrible for the first 2 hours of work. Better now, but I'm definitely not going to be taking that stuff again.

Typical breakfast this morning....blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese. I had one huge glass of water, and I've already decided that I'm having my leftover pasta for lunch. :) Yum.

Today is going to be a looong day.

I work from 11 until 10. :(

And...my favorite manager got laid off.

Bummer. But I've already had breakfast, and I am proud to say that it consisted of something other than a bagel and cream cheese. I bought a big container full of light n fit vanilla yogurt, so I had 1 cup of that. But I also bought some mini semi sweet chocolate chips to put in there for some extra flavoring. YUM.

And now...im going back to sleep for about 20 minutes before work.

Wow that is a long shift! I have those all the time at my current job, actually I will be doing 5 12s this week... I'm not on my feet though, i'm stuck at my desk on the internet surfing this forum entirely too much :)

What is arriabata sauce? Is that like a tomato based type of sauce or something. I also have a bagel for today I brought with me... I'm officially out of them and need to go to the store for some more... Probably tomorrow....

-Sam

I like spicy red tomato sauces... I've never been a real cream sauce type person... I do like that Penne Rustica at MG, and I think it has a cream type sauce. I haven't let myself have that dish in years tho because I saw the calories it contained once online. I now do the steak arugala salad and sometimes I'll get brushcetta. Honestly I'm not that much of a pasta person anymore...

The penne rustica is my favorite dish, and it's made with the gratanatta sauce. Not sure how that's spelled, but it's really good. I don't know about all the other locations, but I know at ours we got rid of the steak and arugula salad. I guess it wasn't too popular?

Okay so last 2 days haven't been the best. I just ate too many calories yesterday, and today I had preorientation for Witt. I didn't have a breakfast, for lunch I had an apple, turkey sandwich (turkey, American cheese, lettuce, mayo, white bread), a bag of potato chips, and 2 cookies. Then I had a cup of yogurt with chocolate chips, and for dinner I had a subway club sub with baked potato chips.

And now I am about to go workout. Against my own word, I took more N.O. Explod, and I hope that it will help me where I lack in energy today.

5 hours later

I ran approximately 2 miles more than my normal 2.6 today. It took me 45 minutes, which is a 10 minute mile. The thing is, I know I am jogging at a decent speed, and I feel like it should be closer to 7.5 minutes. The only way that I can really figure out my mile/2 mile time is to go to an actual track. Boo. I hate running around in circles.

But the good news is that I am back on track. I weighed in at 137 138ish tonight, and I'm hoping I'll be down to a for sure 137 tomorrow morning.

Night everyone.

Good job sticking with those whole wheat carbs earlier in the week. They really are a lot better for you. You should also try not to intake carbs, or very much of them, for dinner. The closer to bedtime that you eat carbs the worst it is for you. I try to do my carbs for breakfast and lunch, and have dinner carbs be just veggies.

You're doing great, almost 5miles. Thats rediculous, I can barely run one mile.

Hey :)

How did the pre-orientation go? I have orientation for my Nursing here in a few weeks. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. That's crazy about how many more miles you did than you were planning to... I didn't get to the gully for a run last night, but tonite there are no excuses... Last night there weren't really either, just the fact that I was kinda being a Debbie Downer, hehe.

Right now, when I run a mile I'm between 9-10 minutes... I wish it was closer to 8 or so. I bought a stopwatch at Target to help me study my progress...
