Breakfast

Hi all,
Been away for a week, but I haven't given up, not a chance....

Breakfast:
1oz of organic apple juice 15cal
1 sara lee plain bagel 250cal
2tbsp garden vegetable cream cheese spread 90cal
1 adult chewable multivitamin 10cal

total:365 cals

I'm dragging today, I hope I pick up the pace soon!

It's hard to have a loved one not doing so well and still stay on track, but by the PM you sent me, it sounds like you did well and you should be proud of yourself for being able to do that!

Lunch & Dinner

For some odd reason, I was completely drained yesterday and dragged the entire day.............Go figure!

Lunch:
2 cups cauliflower soup 100cal
2 slices of wonder stoneground whole wheat 180cal
2tbsp of white tuna 100 cals
34oz of water

Snack:
2 sugar free tropical pops 30cal
before lunch I also had a granny smith apple 80cals

Dinner:
3 spinach artichoke bites by morningstar 190cal
2 chick'n pattie by morningstar 340cal
1 cup cauliflower steamed 25cal
34oz of water

total for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks:1410

that's a bit high for me, but still within range so I'd say I did pretty good...:)

I'm up early and off to challenge the day guys, will be out this morning so will probably post breakfast later...I'm going to try egg whites and toast this morning.

Boy is it hot out!!!!!

I just came back from the doctor and she approved me to have between 1200-1500 calories daily. She sent me to the wellness center to see the nutritionist and I got some pretty good info there.

I have a question for you guys....

How would I find out how many calories are in a jumbo egg white. I had 4 egg whites with 2 pieces of toast this morning. The eggs are 90 calories each, but I didn't eat any of the yolks so how does one come up with a correct count. I have a profile on sparkpeople.com, but I'm clueless about navigating their site. If anyone knows, all guidance is appreciated.

Hopefully you'll see this Mal, I can always count on you for the goods....:D

It takes al ittle bit to get familiar with it - then it's pretty easy.. (I just got rid of their meal plans and i was good to go.. :D

according to spark, an eggwhite has 17 calories in an egg white, that's a large egg ( has the same info) 77 calories in a large egg... I'd probably go with 25 - 30 for a jumbo egg...
 
Hey! We started a new thread called "Team D!!!" in the same section as the weight loss challenge. This way it will be easier to keep an eye on each other!
 
Hey, just read your tread. It sounds like you are doing good despite obstacles... Keep up the good work. Think its great you went to your doctor and got additional help!
 
Thanks guys for the support. I feel pretty stable with my new lifestyle and all, but it seems like I don't want to document it anymore. I had gotten in the habit of writing down what I ate for each meal as I ate and then coming to post it here, but now that I feel I have the hang of things I just can't seem to do it anymore. I think I will start again tomorrow, I want to stick to the basics that got me on this great path....:D

I thought I was in trouble last night. Me and a friend took a walk on the beach yesterday evening and she decided to have ice cream so we went on over to Baskin & Robbins and she got a double scoop of something or another, I don't know because I walked away and started to look at something else. I wasn't craving ice cream, but I could have gotten it just because it was there. I thought about the two week challenge and when she was finishing up her order she asked what did I want. I told the ice cream girl to just grab an aquafina water for me out of the cooler behind the counter and that's what I had for my walk on the beach. I'm starting to find it easier to walk away from things than before....:)

Anyhow folks, I just wanted to share that with the board. Thanks again for all the support, I love this place.....:p

You are AWESOME!!!!!!! Good job!! I don't know if I could have done that!!! I LOVE their ice cream!!! Keep up the great work!!!:D :D
