Vic’s Weight Loss

Well I’m back home. Checked my weight. Not too bad considering I ate a lot.

Went to the gym. Did 10 min of running. And 15 min of walking. Then I went for a 4.3 miles walk around the lake.

Today I had a coffee with creamer and Splenda for breakfast. Dinner was steamed cauliflower and steamed chicken breast.

26 days until my next vacation. Plan on working out- cardio and strength training. Then I’m going to focus on my diet. Planning on skipping breakfast and just drink coffee with almond milk and Splenda. Lunch and dinner will be veggies and a protein. When I go by my mom I’ll make sure I eat before I go or bring my meal with me.
 
Went back to the gym. Ran for 15 min straight. Walked a little. Strength trained my upper body. Going to do lower body tomorrow.

Hopefully I can fall asleep tonight. For the past several nights I fell asleep at around 3 am.
 
Today I got up and went to the gym. I ran for 20 minutes at a slow speed but I made it! I’ll try to run later too!

I wanted to go to the lake but it was packed and couldn’t find a parking spot so I left. Tonight I’ll go back to the gym and strength train on my lower body and maybe some abs/ back workout.

For lunch/ dinner I have steamed cauliflower and steamed chicken breast. I’m drinking a Panera iced coffee with almond milk and Splenda.
 
Well I did not get to go to the gym last night. Was a little sore. I’m sore today too but I went and ran for 25 min straight still slow but I made it!!!

I skipped breakfast and lunch. Just had a coffee from Heavenly with cream and Splenda. Dinner was cod and provisions. Going to have some more coffee with almond milk and Splenda.

Planning to go to the gym later tonight if I can’t sleep.
 
Hey Rob, just took off a day yesterday. Did not accomplish anything. Was a rest day.

I'm just going to Connecticut for a long weekend with my family. Probably the last vacation of the year. But this time, I'm bringing my own veggies. I will just eat their meat. Except for breakfast. Hard to resist but I'll try!

Then on Sunday we are going to the lake. I'll have to eat there.

Today I ran for 30 min slowly. I want to increase my endurance to 60 min straight. Next week I'm hoping to increase my speed to at least 10 min per mile. Right now I'm about 12 min per mile.

I also walked around the lake for 4.3 miles. I also walked a trail loop with my sisters, mom, and the kids. Probably at least a mile if not more. We were going slow.

Eating wise I had some ground beef, chicken breast on a bed of lettuce with mozzarella cheese. I'm skipping dinner. I'm still full. Tomorrow I got suckered into having curry chicken that my mom will be making. So I'll just not eat until then. I will bring my own lettuce to eat with the meat since they will probably make it with rice.

I plan on waking up early tomorrow to go for my run. Then I'll go for a walk around the lake.

22 days until my vacation!
 
Well I couldn’t sleep so I went to the gym. I walked at a 15% incline at 3.0 mph. Slow but I did an hour.

Then I strength trained my upper body and did the leg press. I have to do more but I get bored and just want to go back home.

Will try to go to sleep after I drink my low sugar juice. Still not sleepy though!

Today I’m going truck shopping with my mom in the afternoon. She wants to buy one and ship it to St. Croix. Trucks are super expensive over there.
 
Good exercise! When I have trouble sleeping sometimes I just try laying in bed, I think it can be more restful than getting up.

Truck shopping should be fun, I recently got a new one, went with the Honda Ridgeline. Smallest truck I have had in many years, but I think it will be big enough. So far so good. Which side of the road do they drive on in St. Croix?
 
Rob, driving is on the left side in St. Croix.

My mom got the Jeep Gladiator. She is planning on shipping it after the hurricane season. Probably Oct or Nov. It will take about a month I think.

Today I was really busy looking at trucks. I did not get to exercise and I’m still tired now. Hopefully I can get up and go the gym in the morning.

For dinner I had some curry chicken and potatoes and eggplant. I had some lettuce instead of the rice which was a wise choice and I’m proud of myself for that. I brought my own which is what I’m going to do from now on. It was shredded lettuce and a shredded cabbage mix.

This morning I had a McDonald’s hot coffee with creamer and Splenda. Skipped lunch.
 
Jeep Gladiators are cool. I drove one and seriously considered it when buying a truck. Came close to buying it. I am sure she will be happy.

Don't suppose she can get one with the steering wheel on the right? Never been to St Croix, but I have driven in St Thomas, crazy, I think the Virgin Islands (including St Croix) are the only place in the US that drives on the left.
 
No she is used to the wheel on the left.

Today I ran for just 10 min. Couldn’t do anymore. I did strength trained my upper body. So I’m going to try to not take such a long time off from the running esp since I am just starting out.

I bought myself Nike running shoes so I should get it on Wednesday. More cushion and better arch support. My shoes are made for walking.
 
Early this morning (3am) I went to the gym because I couldn't sleep. (I have insomnia and I do take ambien to sleep but sometimes it doesn't work.) So I strength trained my lower body and did some abs workout.

Then I messed it up because I went to DD to get coffee and since I was there decided to get some munchkins for my brother. Wrong move. Ended up eating all 10 of them. I have been binging lately and not purging. So my weight is back up again.

Today we are going to the lake. So alot of food. Again. My mother will be making doubles with curry chana and curry shrimp. How can I resist that. There will also be hotdogs and burgers. I'm going to try to eat just the doubles. My sis will probably bring the watermelon wine since its by her place.

So on Monday back on a diet. I'm so stuff right now. I hate that feeling.

Its already morning and I can't fall asleep so I'll just stay up until tonight. Hopefully I will sleep then. I have to take my mom to her appt early Monday morning and I have to drive for an hour. So I need to be well rested.

I am not sure when my mom and brother leaves. I can't wait until they leave so I can improve my diet and my workouts. Its so hard with them around. Not even sure I will go to St. Croix this winter.

My running shoes came in today. So I’m going to go for a run tomorrow.

It looks like my mom and brother are not leaving until Dec. I can’t wait until then to lose weight. So I’m doing it now!
 
So my running shoes came in yesterday! Today I went for a run. Did 20 min straight. More than I thought I could do. Tomorrow I’ll try to go longer. And I do have to focus more on strength training. Maybe I’ll do that tomorrow after my run. Just want to lift heavier weights.

For breakfast I had a coffee from DD with cream and sugar instead of Splenda. For dinner I’m having one doubles and curry chana and tomato choka.

For the past 2 days I’ve been doing OMAD. Mostly saving my calories for later in the evening.
 
I went to the gym early this morning. I could not fall asleep.

I ran for 30 min straight. Tried to run faster for the last 10 min. I have to be consistent if I want to get faster and more endurance. I would like to go for an hour straight but that’ll probably take me 2 weeks. Just in time for my vacation.

Also went for an hour long hike at the trails in North Andover. With the sisters and kids and mom. It was hilly.

Had a double cheeseburger yesterday. Took off the top bun.

Going to the beach tomorrow with my mom and Izzy and A and the kids. The water is going to be freezing but I’ll go in anyway. Have to show the kids that I’m brave. The kids love the water and don’t even seem bothered by the coldness.

I also bought a rope to use at my home and will take it over by my sis.

Hopefully I can sleep for a couple of hours but I’m still not tired or sleepy.
 
So I ended up staying up all night. I hope I can sleep tonight. I’ll take my pills at 945 pm.

Today I ate a lot. 3 meals. Breakfast was a bacon egg and cheese on ciabatta from Panera. Lunch was a lobster roll from somewhere in Maine. It had a lighthouse there. I ate as little bread as possible. Dinner was a cheeseburger. I ate only one side of the bun. So not too bad.

Tomorrow we r going to Kingston Lake in NH for the day. Probably having a breakfast sandwich from Panera again. Will probably have to go to Heavenly for everyone orders.

I think I’ll bring my body board to the lake. No waves though and no sharks.
 
So I ended up having a breakfast sandwich from Panera and a hot coffee that I put my own almond milk and Splenda. Lunch I had a slice of bread with a slice of salami. Snack was a cup of sweet and salty popcorn. Dinner was a chicken thigh and a half and a rib grilled at the lake. With chopped salad. And a small amount of pasta salad.

I slept at a decent time last night and woke up early. Enough time to do my laundry and get my breakfast before going to the lake. Hopefully tonight I get to sleep.

NEways I think I finally figured what to do about my night time eating. Which was what I did yesterday. I’m going to stay in my living room and watch tv instead of going to my bed early. Until it’s time to take my pills and go to sleep. I tend to take my pills early. Lay in bed in silence and then get up and get some food and watch tv while eating in my bedroom.

Got dental insurance. Need to get my teeth cleaned and the VA says that my hygienist will call when she wants to schedule me. So I can’t wait for them right now. So I got a cheap plan for a year. All I need is my teeth cleaned.

Tomorrow I want to get up and go for a run on the treadmill at my gym.
 
I went to the gym this morning and just did 13 min running. My treadmill was not working so I just got off. I plan on going again later to do my run again.

I’m doing IF today. Will eat around 11 am and will quit eating at 6 pm.
 
So I changed my eating plan. Going to start counting my calories.
