Valapalooza's Diary

Thanks for stopping in everyone - I really do appreciate it. I feel like between yesterday and today I'm having to do a lot of catching up on little things at work and home so I really don't have a ton of time to read everyone's diary like I want to- but I promise I'll get around to that this weekend.

So yesterday I wanted to be back on track eating well and exercising- I did pretty decent with eating, but towards the end of the workday I started getting this really uncomfortable feeling on the bottom of my heels. It continued for the rest of the day, so I never got around to exercising for fear of making it worse. When I woke up this morning it felt even worse- I had to walk on tiptoe while I was getting ready for work b/c it hurt too much to put weight on my heels. My weight is at a complete standstill and my TOM is coming up too- so I can't really afford this lack of exercise. I feel like I am going to let my 2 week challenge team down, and I REALLY don't want to do that. Grrr- Maybe I just need some good vibes sent my way and I'll be good to go when I wake up tomorrow morning. :) Maybe.

awwwh. I know EXACTLY how you're feeling. *huggles* hope you can get over this hump soon. *mails Val good vibes* Be expecting it in ur mailbox in a day or so. :)

Hope you have a good weekend!!!

So I've been a giant bum for the past week- but I'm getting my act together starting yesterday :) It's scary how easy it is to just give up on the routine... I need to learn how to make this more permanent and figure out how to integrate it into my life a little bit better. Regardless of any progress that I've made so far, I am way too far away from my goal to quit now. So I ate properly yesterday and did some TurboJam (although I couldn't last quite as long as I had the last time I worked out). Today should be a good day.

Val, I'm glad to hear you're getting back on track. You're down 25 with a very reachable August goal. You're doing great so don't worry too mcuh about a bad couple of days

I compeltely agree with you about the Carmen Electra tapes! I really only like #2! Hope you have a good day tomorrow... 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 one more time... hahahahahahhahaha

But you're our bum.....I mean we love you and we know you can get back on track!!!

Hope tomorrow brings you ..... a lovely stress free day and tons of energy!!

We all have a stretch where we feel like we have had it! But you will not let it get the best of you...you will keep working and plugging away...remember this is a life change not just a temporaray thing and you can make the necessary changes to make this happen. You can't expect to have things be perfect for the rest of your life...so move over the inevitable bumps in the road and then keep truckin!
BTW how do you like the Turbo Jam videos? Are they as good as they make it out to be...or just hype? I was thinking about getting them, but was afraid it was more hype and I didn't want to spend the money and be disappointed.

OK OK OK- My TOM just started, and when I hopped on the scale this morning I was VERY disappointed. Sure- there may be a couple of pounds of bloat causing the higher than usual number, but if I'm going to be honest with myself, I will admit that I have SUCKED MAJORLY lately. But no more excuses- I promise. I think that this forum was really helping me, because when I was posting often I was losing more weight. Now that I've slacked off on posting the past couple of weeks- the scale has started being less friendly to me. I really sucked it up big time on the 2 week challenge- so I apologize for my teammates. But I did weigh-in for the 10 week challenge that starts today, and I don't intend on disappointing the ladies. I'm hoping that doing a 10 week challenge will be more realistic for me and help me get back on track.
