Valapalooza's Diary

*hands Val some krazy glue*
here use this to glue your booty to the wagon. don't fall off anymore mkay? ^_~ good luck with the 10 week challenge!

Just stopping by to see how you were doing! You haven't been on in a while... hope everything is going alright!!

So I have finally returned. Don't ask me why I decided to suck at life- but I did, and I disappeared for far too long. The fiance and I decided to rededicate ourselves to being healthy this year. We both joined the Discovery Health National Body Challenge on the 13th and are working out everyday. We are eating better- not great- but better. I am pretty frustrated with my jumping on and off the wagon so much- but I am also hopeful that I can hang on this time. I probably won't post as often as I used to (I do taxes, so this time of year gets REALLY busy) - But I promise to check in as often as possible to keep motivated. I miss you guys!

Welcome back! Haven't seen your name since the summer when I joined :( I remember you answering my silly questions. :D

Hi dariqueen-

I know- I was a quitter- It is sad. Glad to be back though! I forgot how inspiring people on this site can be! I don't plan on disappearing this time around. I've got a wedding dress to fit into this October- and let's be honest here, white isn't flattering in the first place.

I've decided not to post my weight yet- not so much because I am ashamed of the number, but moreso because I am on a quest to SEE and FEEL the changes in my body. I like when you can feel muscles you forgot you had and when clothes start hanging on you differently. I think it is important to focus on those changes more than just the pounds. Maybe after a month or so of this I'll get back to keeping a weight tracker... I just don't want to get too obsessed this early.

Val, it is SO good to see you posting again!

No looking back, start from today and focus, tomorrow isn't even here yet :)

Good for you and your fiance for working out together!
You CAN do this - it's just one day at a time hun :D

Wow- I am surprised by how many people are on this forum now. I had to go to page 4 to find my diary- and I was just in it yesterday!

I've decided to follow M2M's advice (Thanks!) and stop focusing on where I could have been if I never gave up. I am thankful that I didn't gain ALL of the weight back that I lost. New start: New focus. Goal number one: Drop 5 pounds by the end of the month.

Anyway- I woke up at 6 and did the Yoga Booty Ballet LIVE Go-Go dvd for the first time. First of all, the sixties dancing requires a lot of bouncing around- so my heart rate was definitely up. Great cardio routine. There was also a booty scultpting routine- oh my goodness, I was definitely feeling the burn!

We have our menu tasting at our reception hall tonight for our wedding. That spells trouble. Hopefully I will control myself... Hopefully.

Taste & Enjoy, the key is moderation!

And yeah, the pages do go fast sometimes, but I think it's due in part to the New Year's resolutions ;)

Your work out sounds not only great, but FUN!! I think I'm in serious need of some booty sculpting ;)

Hope your day goes well!

I'm happy to see old friends too! Some people that I hoped would still be here appear to be MIA... but maybe they accomplished their goals while I was gone. Who knows-

It is sad seeing the goings of people - but the good news is they pop back in from time to time :D
