Hello MY TROPICAL JUNGLE!!!!

I'm SO HAPPY that you have tons of ENERGY!!! Meeeee TOO, for the past 2 days!!! It's been INSANE...maybe just a BUNCH OF PENT UP excitement!!! Feels GREAT though doesn't it!?!?! I wish EVERY DAY could be the same!!! Hope you find that watch :)!!!!! Just wanted to stop by real quick and TELL YOU I WAS TALKING ABOUT you yesterday to this guy at busy bodies, and HOW I LOVE YOUR KILTS!!!! YOU ARE AMAZING!!!....i told him so.....gotta love life and the different walks of it!!! :sifone:......Keep on INSPIRING ME to fit the workouts I miss so much in!!!!!! Thankkkk you for BEING YOU!!!! :hurray:
 
Well, this is interesting. I got called into work for a double shift. That means that I wasn't able to help out my wife at home with the kids. She's going through a tough time at work and I wish I could have been there to help out.

On the other hand, I am able to get some good overtime and get a jump rope workout in, too. Jumped 10,000 jumps in 1 hour 6 min and 15 sec. I didn't figure out how many that is per min. I felt better then I have the other times I've done it, so I think that next time I should up the amount. (ouch, that will hurt)

I took a picture of my calf muscle, primarily because I like it. Helps with these jump rope sessions.

I've been pretty good this week food wise. Yesterday I made fettuccini with meat sauce for dinner, but I also made spaghetti squash and zucchini on the side. My plate I skipped the fettuccini and just put a bit of the sauce on the spaghetti squash. After dinner I told the kids that they could have a piece of their Halloween candy, so I went into their bags to get it for them. Wow, the temptation swept over me like a wave. I resisted, but it was strong.

I've been keeping up with my workouts. Yesterday it was tough. I was trying to catch up on my sleep and I didn't have much time to get in a workout before the kids came home from school. I did go to the gym and did a HIIT workout on the elliptical but I didn't go as long as I wanted.

Today is my last midnight shift, so I am hoping to get in a good run today. I don't know because I just got a text that my brother is on his way to the hospital because his wife is in labor. I might scrap the workout to go see my new nephew. I'll have to see.

Funny how you can pass it up with no problem one day and then -bam!- the urges hits you hard when you least expect it. Good job on resisting. That is so hard to do.

How did you like the spaghetti squash? I've been thinking about messing around with it in the kitchen a bit.

Spaghetti squash is great. So easy, too. Just cut it length wise and scoop out the seeds. bake for an hour to an hour 15 at 350. I'll put some pepper on it before baking and then a loose sheet of aluminum foil. Pull it out and scrape out the flesh with a fork. Nothing easier. I do prefer it without the sauce, though. Just as a side veg.

Sounds good! I really need to get more veggies back into my diet. I've been so focused on lifting and protein that I've put veggies on the back burner. I know I'm not eating as many as I should.

That's funny because I was thinking about how I really ate a ton of veggies at the beginning of this, and recently slacked off. Now I'm just eating more of what everyone else is, just less. Last night I had so much veggies I was asking myself why I'm not doing that more.
