Wow, I haven't said anything here all weekend.
Midnights are tough to keep on schedule. Especially on weekends. I end up getting home and catching about 2-3 hours sleep, then get up and go do whatever the family is doing. If I can, I'll grab another 2 hours before work in the evening. I was reading an article that talked about sleep deprivation and weight loss and how it's just so very bad on many levels. I'm glad that I only do this 6 days a month (give or take).
Friday was my daughter's birthday party. I was running all over town before hand getting the last minute things done. I ended up not eating anything all day, then I picked up the pizzas and ice cream cake, and thought, "this won't be good." but I was actually pretty reserved. I didn't have any pizza or cake at the party, and the leftover pizza I had two slices. I would have had more, but there were only four slices left and I let the other two for my wife. Good thing she ate both or I might have gone back for the last one.
Saturday wasn't much better. I was running around all afternoon doing this and that, so come 2 PM I still hadn't eaten anything since the pizza the night before and again was starving. Not a good way to go. We picked up some sandwiches that were so unbelievably good. I had turkey with melted provolone, tomato, and roasted peppers on a fresh baked hard roll. Oh, was that good. I ate half and wrapped the rest up. I ended up eating the rest for dinner, but that was pretty much all I ate all day. Again, not good.
We did open a very nice bottle of wine, which I had two glasses. A real melt in your mouth 2003 Fume Blanc Reserve. It's one of those bottles that you spend more then you usually do and end up saving it for the right occasion which really never comes. Well, that's when I say what's a better occasion then spending the evening with your wife. Unfortunately it gets cut short because I had to go to work.
Yesterday was better, but for dinner my wife said that she wanted bratwurst. There was a Oktoberfest going on, which we skipped, but I got some brats and checked out the nutritional info and one brat has 17g of fat.

I picked it up for the family and I got some chicken breast for me. Grilled it all up and I didn't even touch the brats. It's easier when you know that it's not a little bad, but very bad.
The whole weekend went by and I did no exercise. No lifting, no cardio. nothing. Today looks like I'm not getting anything done till perhaps before work. Hopefully I'll be able to get some lifting in. After tomorrow I'm done with this shift and then my good shift starts. I always drop some good weight on the evening shift. I'm looking forward to that.
