Transformation

Oh goodness. I have a lot to catch up on here! Well, here it goes!

Wow congrats on the great job on the hike!! That is very impressive and I am so glad you enjoyed it! You have done awesome on the exercise this week

I knew even before I read it that your grandparents would support you Grandparents are the best at supporting, most of the time Especially when it is something to benefit your health. I have to admit i'm slightly jealous reading this..I miss my grandparents (they are all passed on). However, I like to think they are supporting me even so

You have done well in what could have been a very challenging and tempting situation ... Great job!!

My grandparents were really wonderful about it all the way through the entire visit. It was wonderful. I think to an extent they were even proud of me for making this change, even though it did mean they could no longer feed tasty pastry treats to me anymore. Haha. :)

I'm sorry about making you a little sad about your grandparents but I know they'd be proud of what you're doing because you're doing really amazing things. :)

Grandmothers love to feed everybody. So nice that they took your weight loss seriously and helped you with it. They must be so proud of you
Well done on the uphill hike.

Thank you. :D I really felt that they respected the decision I made and that helped a lot. :)

Ooohhh!!! Whole wheat pitas! I never thought of that! And it would work great for individual pizzas because of course my 4 kids never all like the same things on their pizzas. I have recently discovered turkey pepperoni, which we really like. A lot less calories and fat. I just wish it wasn't quite so salty though. Thanks for the awesome idea with the pitas!

It works REALLY well for personal pizzas. And it's so easy and quick to make, too! You're welcome. :)

This made me LOL! The "flopping about" just tickled me because that is what I think at the gym when I have my rare moments of thinking "oh god I wonder what they all think of me". I try to keep them at a minimum with loud music and a burning desire to escape into myself when I work out, but they do happen. And all I can wonder is how much "flopping" is going on when I'm on the treadmill - especially when I'm jogging! God save ye who watch me jog!!

I've been struggling with some motivation/stress issues of my own and it's awesome to read about you overcoming yours!!! Congratulations!!!

That is why it is a fortunate thing that I work out the majority of the time in the safe seclusion of my living room. No public flopping about for me!

I'm pleased that it was a positive thing for you to read about me overcoming motivation issues. :)

The visit you had sounded wonderful. And the hike with the waterfalls sounded beautiful. I can imagine how strong you felt with that accomplishment. Well done!

Take care!!

Thank you. :) I really did. I love moments like that, when I can feel how much stronger I've become and know without a doubt that even is soon to come. :)

Hope all is well Haven't seen you posting around here for a few days. hugs

I'm okay. I've just been busy and distracted. I tried to come around a couple of times to post but it just never worked out. Thank you for checking up on me. It's very sweet of you. :)

I came to your thread for the same reason. I missed seeing you posting so hope that everything is well with you. Hugs

Aww, thank you for coming around to see how I'm doing. I'm still around, just a bit busy. :)

Sounds l?ke you've had a lot go?ng on Jenna! I'm glad th?ngs are go?ng well - ?ts always a boost when fam?ly recogn?se that you are mak?ng pos?t?ve changes and don't try to cajoule you back ?nto your old bad hab?ts because ?ts what they are comfortable w?th.

As for bounc?ng, ?n order to avo?d a pa?r of black eyes when exerc?s?ng, I wear an underw?red sports bra w?th another sports bra 'tank top' on top - you know, the th?ng that SOME women put on to run on ?ts own but I th?nk of as l?ke a lycra l?ttle top rather than anyth?ng that I would dream would keep my boobs ?n place!! The double combo seems to f?x th?ngs pretty well.

However, guys, ?n terms of work?ng out down the gym - bel?eve me, people could not be less ?nterested....you get all shapes an s?zes down there and they are e?ther too ?nvolved ?n the?r own work out, used to be fat themselves and th?nk?ng 'good for you, I remember when I was putt?ng ?n all that hard work' (you can tell th?s by the ones that g?ve you l?ttle co-consp?rator sm?les l?ke they want to tell you to keep go?ng becuase they've been there but they dont know how to start talk?ng to you) or they are just too pla?n worr?ed about how they look and what people are th?nk?ng about them....yes, even th?n toned f?t people have ?ssues! So I just tell myself to get over ?t and get on w?th ?t!

I think my biggest problem with bounciness is that after a certain amount of bounciness, things start to get sore. :p And I worry that all the bouncy-bouncy is just dooming me to further sagginess than already exists. ;) I keep thinking that I might as well dedicate one day every week completely to chest exercises. Haha.

I think it would be really nice to encounter one of those co-conspirator smiles, though. I think it would feel very similar to some of the support that we get around here just knowing that everyone else understands because they've been there. :)

Darn...I'm on dialup and I can't see pictures!

But if Tiggy likes it, I'm sure I'll like it too!

Hope you are doing well!

Take care!!

Hehe. I'm attaching a full-size shot here in this post because I actually had to crop some of it off to make it square-ish and I actually thought I looked nice in it, too. :) Thanks guys. :)

Okay. Here I am. I'm FORCING MYSELF to post before it's been two weeks and not just one since a legitimate diary entry has been made on my part. :p

First, let's start off with a little celebration! I'm in the 260's. Oh yes, oh yes, I am. :D Not only am I in the 260's, but look! Whoosh is back in the house! I lost 5 lbs this week. I weighed in at 266.2 lbs this morning. :D What's interesting is that I've been purposefully eating a little bit more this week... only about an extra 200 calories a day. But I'm losing more.

Also, I went on the absolute most beautiful hike yesterday and want to share my pictures with you all. It was 3.7 miles long, which may not seem like much, but I'm slowly adding distance and challenging myself more. :) I think Saturday is just going to be a hike kind of day for me from now on. I want to try to go on one at least once a week. to the picture album for my hike at Great Falls.

On Thursday my best friend came over after work and we did Yoga and then kick-boxing together in my living room. It was a tremendous amount of fun to have someone to work out with and I'm going to try to persuade her to come every Thursday to do some more. ;) She seemed like she really enjoyed it too. Plus it's just more fun when you can laugh at each other falling all over the place while trying to twist into pretzels in order to do some of that yoga stuff. :D

That looks beautiful. I live on a small island so we have plenty of sea but no rivers at all so when I visit England I love to walk along the rivers. I agree with the comment on your photo about the lack of litter in the English countryside. I was really surprised as I'm sure it wasn't so well kept 30 years ago when I still lived there. I also noticed that Spring bulbs had been planted on all the country roads, mainly daffodils and none of them had been stamped on or picked. One day out walking we say a couple of scruffy suspicious looking teenagers that seemed to be lurking behind a bush. We had a look what they were up to as we went past and saw that they were planting bulbs.:D

Exercise is so much more fun with a friend. I can't wait for the winter when my sister and a couple of our friends finish work as we will get together a few days a week to exercise.

I can't believe you waited just to see it. Thank you Flumes. You're a sweetheart. :)

Couldn't have put it better myself. Gorgeous and wow describe you perfectly.

You're so sweet. Thank you. :)

Yes! Every place I went in England was immaculately landscaped with flowers! You just don't see that here at all. Let's face it... the US certainly isn't the worst place to live, but it definitely has its flaws and the profuse amount of people that believe the outdoors is a dumping ground is one of them. I think that England, in comparison, made me even more aware of the littering that goes on here.

I think it would be a great amount of fun to have a small group of friends to go to dance classes with at some point. I'd like to be able to do that sometime.

Great to see you back here :D

Congrats on the weight loss!! WOW, you are catching up to me..hehe :)

Pretty soon we will both be solidly in the 250s!

Lovely pics of your hike and of yourself! :)

I know. It's crazy how close we are to being in the 250s. And I like that I'm catching up with you because it's kind of fun to be losing weight together, but it's sad at the same time that your weight loss has slowed down some.

It's good to be back here. :)

Lovely pics of your hike! What a breathtaking view!

And congrats on the whoosh! :hurray:

Haha, thanks. :D It really was extraordinary. I'd like to have a hike like that one every time. :D

I feel sick as a dog. For some reason since Saturday I have been feeling sick directly after eating. Today was the worst and I'm supposed to work out in roughly 20 minutes for about an hour and a half and then go on a walk a bit later tonight. I don't want to sacrifice my workout but I feel really, really sick and know that if I move at all my insides are going to twist into knots. I don't know what is going on with my stomach at all. It's only happening when I eat and after the sick feelings go away I feel absolutely fine until I eat again.

On the plus side, I weighed in at 265.4 lbs this morning. Only a bit more than 5 lbs to go until I'm into the 250's. :D I can't wait. It seems amazing to be in the 250's, let alone even less later on down the line. :)

Sorry to hear that you are feeling so bad and hope that you are soon feeling better.:hug2:
Congrats on the weight loss :)

Thank you. :)

I gave the workout a try but I made it 2 minutes into the warmup before I was forced to bail. I know that it probably won't hurt to take this one day off but I've gotten so used to working out every day that it feels wrong not to. Perhaps I'll still feel better at some point tonight and manage to do something. :)

if you are not feeling well i definitely think it is best to take the day off :) otherwise you might be out for 3 days instead of 1 :)

hope you feel better soon :)

i am happy you are catching up to me :D congrats on the weight loss today :D however, i am losing again so it won't be *that* easy to catch up hehe
