Transformation

So, this is the second time-- not first, but second time-- he has come home unexpectedly while I'm flopping about half-naked in the living room. He's supposed to go straight to the pool hall Monday nights! Straight to the pool hall, not home and then straight to the pool hall. So, naturally, I took the opportunity to flop about half naked in the living room (read: work out with a comfortable, minimal amount of clothing on).

Cue the sound of the front door unlocking and me diving for the nearest available object to hide behind, as I scream "WAIT!" and thrust my hand out as if I could keep the door from opening with superhuman powers. Fortunately his reflexes are sufficient and the door stops opening right there in its tracks. I imagine the thought process that went along with it on his end was something along the lines of "... She's flopping about half-naked in the living room again, isn't she?" because at this point, after the first coming-home-while-Jana-is-half-naked experience, it's just not surprising anymore.

From behind my safety object, I call out to him to close the door because, good lord, I don't have any pants on and you caught me in the middle of my workout and really, it's just more comfortable to do it without my pants on so it's perfectly justified for me to have put us in this situation. And you're not supposed to be home, so you really have a hand in this, you see. Or something like that.

He waits, I scramble up the strairs, and he enters. He really just came home to grab his pool stick which he left here this morning. As he heads back out the door, he called up the stairs to me, "Bye Jana-- wait, no. Bye naked Jana!"

"I'm NOT naked! I just don't have any pants on!", I yelled back down indignantly at him as he cackled and walked out the door.

In other, not embarrassing news, my work out was tremendously fun today until that end part I just recounted for you. :p For some reason I didn't feel like strength training today. It's the first strength training session I've missed out on for at least 5 or 6 weeks. I did still work out though and it was really great. I am so, so thrilled about the energy level I'm managing during my workouts. Two months ago I could not have imagined it at all. Two months ago I was afraid of jumping jacks and now I'm practically the energizer bunny. It makes me really happy to be able to do what I'm able to do now. It's kind of like... being able to do something you never thought you'd be capable of. It reminds me of when I got accepted to college. For a long time I didn't think college was possible for me, so I broke down crying happy tears while I was reading the acceptance letter. This is a really similar feeling but without the tears. I never thought this would happen and it has and it's going to change my life. :)

ROFLMAO Jana!!!! :smilielol5:

This sounds like something I could see happening to me! I always seem to get myself into situations like that. Twice (before we had kids) I had been getting ready to take a bath and thought I heard my husband holler for me - so went walking out to the kitchen stark naked to see what the heck was so darn important - first time it was my father in law and the second time it was my husband's best friend standing in my kitchen. I wanted to die! After the second time I finally learned my lesson.

I've also gone into meetings with my shirt unbuttoned (seat belt on the drive to the meeting worked them loose) and had a stupid wrap around skirt fall off while shopping.

So don't feel too bad. And you can always look at it like this: you could have had the music cranked while working out and not heard him come in at all!

LOL at both you and Tigpuppy. I love it when I can start the day off reading something that makes me laugh.
The only thing that I can think of was one summer I was sat around with a group of friends and family and pulled off my t.shirt as it was getting hot forgetting that earlier I had taken my bikini top off from underneath. 20 years later I can still visualize the shocked looks on everybodies facies and the feeling I got when I realized by their expressions what I had done.

Holy moly, I don't feel bad at all because at least I've not been caught naked as the day I was born. :p And you're right. I did have the music cranked up until about 2 minutes before he got there, too. I was so close to even more disaster if he'd been a bit earlier. Haha.

I'm glad it made you laugh. :D It is a little funny looking back on it. :p

But wow, you and Tig make me feel so much better with your stories. :D I feel so badly for 20 years younger you who flashed all your family and friends. Haha.

Hey Jana!!

I am glad to see you are still going strong.....and also glad to see I am not the only one that sometimes wears less clothing to work, lucky for me the only ones who can walk in on me are my hubby and kids whom are still young enough for that not to matter lol!!!! Keep it up!

It appears you have some sort of hot tub or pool story to tell. :D And you're welcome. I will be sure to recount all tales of nearly-being-caught-half-naked here for your entertainment. :D

Yes, really the best way to work out is in pretty much nothing. Bra and underwear is sufficient. :D The bra is really the only necessary item to keep the twins from going on protest over being tossed carelessly about as if they have no feelings at all. Haha.

Thank you for the encouragement! :D

I feel required to hear this story now. :p

I had to dig deep into my diary to find the quote but here it is.
We put a small soft sided pool (3 ft deep by 15 ft around)in the back yard about 6-7 years ago for our kids to enjoy on the hot summer days. Well, it was sooo hot that year that my wife and I grabbed a couple of drinks and layed in the pool one evening after our kids went to bed just to unwind and take advantage of our purchase. Well...after few drinks one thing led to another and things started happening... ;) Next thing we hear is a 'cough' from the nosey 80 yr old neighbour who was standing just on the other side of the fence! My wife screamed, the old man screamed and the next thing you know our kids woke up and jumped in the pool with their pyjamas on thinkin it was party time! Talk about embarrasing!

Hope you have alot of fun in your pool! ;)

Take care!!!

I'm a little behind with threads....had a busy day yesterday and am working days today, and have to use extreme caution while surfing the internet so sorry for the delay!

I was just about ready to go searching for my pool story and lo and behold, Eycky had my back covered! "Thanks for finding that Eycky!" lololol

But I dont think it beats Eycky's family flashing story or Tiggys voyeuristic episodes! lol Thanks for the laffs!!!

LOL! My husband is forever trying to convince me that working out would be so much more fun if I'd do it naked. I don't feel like giving myself a black eye or 2 though!

All the stories were pretty amazing, honestly. :D

Ah, such a man. :p

Apparently I should stay awake until 5:30 AM and wake up after noon more often! I weighed in at 261.8 lbs today, an entire 2.4 lbs less than yesterday morning. Sleep deprivation followed by sleeping in late are good for the body? :p

Jana, you may well have come up with a revolutionary new diet!! However, if that is the case, why aren't all lazy-ass students skinny?! Those lbs are really dropping off eh? 21lbs so far - are you starting to REALLY feel the difference?

I think my grandpa would be proud of me. I remember back when I was 12 and he knew I was unhappy about being a fat kid, he offered me money if, by the time I was 18, I weighed a certain amount. He was trying to motivate me to be more healthy. It didn't work (because the motivation really has to come from inside), but I think that if he were still alive he'd be happy for me doing it now.

Just reading through your diary and came across this post. It made me cry - happy tears! I'm so proud of you for how far you have come! I started reading the last post you wrote and wanted more so I've started at the beginning. Keep up the great work!! You are going to have amazing results with that motivation and dedication! Looking forward to reading more!
Oh and for sure your grandpa would be proud! We all are!!

Hmmm.... Don't they always tell us that getting plenty of rest is key to weight loss?

I don't know if I believe that myself. Most nights I get 4 to 5 hrs, 6 on a good night. And I think I'm doing just fine.

Then again, sometimes I'm awful forgetful lately. Maybe lack of sleep is frying brain cells? :ack2:

Yes I am. :D I can't honestly see the difference in pictures yet but the difference in how healthy I feel between now and when I started is enormous.

Ah, thank you for reading and commenting. :) I am happy that something I said seems to have touched you. Thank you for the encouragement! :)

Jana!!

Keep up the great work! Muchos inspirationos! Gracias!

Yes Sir! I will keep working hard! :D Thank you. :)

Do you know what is interesting? I've had more difficulty sleeping since I started this. I am getting enough sleep I think but ah, I wake up sore from the previous day's work and I can't sleep forever the way that I used to. :p

Hehe. Who needs brain cells anyway? :p I suppose, technically, they can come in handy at times.
